How do I transfer the music from my phone to my iTunes on my Mac?

I recently tried to download OS X Mavericks and it totally messed up my computer. I fixed it but everything on my laptop is gone )): I really want all of my music back! The music is on my iPhone 5, how do I transfer it into my iTunes library? Not all of it was downloaded from iTunes, so only some showed up after signing into my iTunes account.

The iphone is not a backup/storage device. It simply mirrors the selected content of your computer. The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
The exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Copy the entire iTunes folder from \Users\<User>\Music on the old drive into your music folder on the new computer.

- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

File>Transfer Purchases in iTunes will transfer items purchased from the iTunes store.
If you have items from other sources (ripped CD's, etc.) on the phone, you can't transfer those without purchasing 3rd party software.
Restore the backup of your old computer or just copy the data from the old computer to the new one.

Did you not have a Time Machine backup of your Macbook Pro or a clone backup on an external HD?
To copy music from the iPhone to your Mac -- except purchases from the Apple Store -- you need third-party software.
