How do i transfer to a new icloud account

I am having to create a new iCloud account, how do i do this and not lose all of my information. When i try deleting existing account it tells me all information will be lost. Thanks for the help.

You will get an option to save a copy of the iCloud data on your phone when you delete the account.
To migrate to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow, then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.

  • How to transfer content to new iCloud account?

I have a friend who had her iPhone with the iCloud account setup with her son's Apple ID/account.
The son has been kicked out.
The iPhone/Apple ID associated with the iCloud account as well as all the things that go with the Apple setup are all associated with the son's iTunes/Apple, iCloud account, but she has the phone under her name, etc.
How does one transfer all of the music, pictures, e-mail configurations, settings, apps, etc. EVERYTHING that was purchased and part of the iPhone content, even though it is associated with the son's account?
Step by step would be appreciated.
THe biggest issue as experienced in the past performing similiar tasks is when you plug the phone into a computer, it syncs with iTunes, and need to know how to associat that as an additional proble (for the new account).
    Appreciate any help.

There are two issues you are discussing : itunes store account and icloud accounts - they are different.  As for itunes store purchases, they are forever associated with the ID used to buy them.  You cannot transfer those purchases to any other account.
As for icloud, to get the Apple data (contacts, reminders, etc.) to another account do the following.  Note that for emails, its easiest to use a computer, go to the icloud account in the Apple Mail client and drag all emails to another account or location on the Mac.
Moving Apple data from one icloud account to another...
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc.  Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there.  These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE:  Photos in the photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the new account.  It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch.

  • How do I transfer photos from one icloud account to another?

I recently switched back to iPhone when the iPhone 6 Plus came out.  I had the iPhone 4s before I got an android so it's been a while since having an iCloud account. I could not think of my password when logging into my iCloud account when starting up my new phone so I created a new iCloud account.  I FINALLY figured out my old password and was able to log in my old 4s phone and see my old photos and thought "WOW I need to save these somewhere." I cannot figure out how to get them off on my old iCloud account... I logged into my old iCloud account on my desktop and did not see those photos though.  I have photos on the old iCloud that cannot be replaced, such as photos of family members who have passed away since, PLEASE HELP.
Is there a way to transfer photos over to my new iCloud account from my old one?
    Thank you

If the contents that accumulated on the new phone while the spell of Alzheimer went away is not indispensable, perhaps the quickest way would be to reset and wipe the phone then reregister it to the original iCloud account so you would get all your old content/apps/etc. back.

  • How can I transfer "notes" from one icloud account to another, and other account questions

    Hey,
    I currently have 2 icloud accounts. (In total I have 4 seperate apple ids somehow, 1 @me.com, 1 @icloud.com, 1 @gmail.com, and 1 apple id. But that's a problem I'll talk about later).
Right now, all of my notes got deleted from my iphone, but they are on the icloud account A: (@me.com account's icloud.) When I reconnect this account to my iphone, the notes are there. However, when I turn off note syncing in my iphone's icloud settings, I'm not prompted to "keep data on iphone" (like I am prompted with contacts). Instead, they are just deleted from the iphone. So there's no way to connect the icloud account A, download the data, and reconnect icloud account B.
How can I get these notes from icloud account A to icloud account B (or just getting it from icloud account A to my iphone.)
And while I'm at it, how can I get the @icloud account that was linked with the @me.com account to get linked to the @gmail.com account.
    Sorry if this is confusing.

Let me rephrase my comment...  I used Windows to sync my data without icloud, we decided to switch to mac and purchased a $2000 osx driven machine only to find out apple has "secretly" disabled mobile sync services and replaced it with icloud syncing.  There was NO documentation stating this fact before my purchase, it was only realized when users started running into syncing issues that apple disclosed mavericks no longers uses mobile syncing services and "requires you to use icloud to sync device information" on this forum.
They removed a integral part of my privacy without telling me, or warning me, before i spent money on non-refundable merchandice.
These are not mindless, I was forced into mavericks when i purchased a new mac... All other versions of OSX provide modile syncing services.
And I was not threatening lawsuit, i was stating a thought that this leavs apple open to a lawsuit for people who want their data kept private, they are FORCING the use of icloud now.

  • How do I set up a new iCloud account

I changed my Apple ID because I have changed my IP and my previous address is no longer active. Thanks to some kind people on here I've resolved problems with apps etc but now have a problem with iCloud. It keeps asking for my previous log in details but then doesn't recognise them. From what I've read I need to set up a new iCloud account but can't find any info on how to do it. I can only find info on initial set up on new devices.  Can anyone help?  I ought to point out that I'm 60 with only average IT skills and I don't find Apple products intuitive no matter what the say!

  • How do I sign up a new icloud account on my ipad

I have an ipad that was already signed with a icloud account. But now I want to put a new icloud account. How do I do it.

Have you logged out of the existing iCloud account : Settings > iCloud > Delete Account ? If Find My iPad is enabled in iCloud on the existing account then you will need to type in that account's password to be able to remove the account from the iPad - if it's not your account that is logged in then you will need to contact the person whose account it is, only he or she can remove the iPad from their account.
You shoud then be able to log in with your account

  • How do I set up a new iCloud account separate for my iphone and ipad?

I have an old iCloud account for my iphone and when I bought an ipad last year I used the same iCloud account. I now have no storage left and my iphone won't back up. I want to upgrade my iphone soon but don't want to lose all my photos, contacts, etc.
I have spent the last hour trying to create a new iCloud account so I have two separate ones for my iphone and iCloud, to no avail. Apple don't seem to have any information I submit and I am just going round in circles updating passwords! And re-enters new account details. I haven't received an email registering my new iCloud account.
Can anyone help! Can I create two iCloud accounts? Why can't i! Even though I am using two separate email addresses.

If it's stuck on verifying it's because she never responded to the verification email that Apple should have sent to the primary email address she used for the Apple ID she set it up with.  She should check her inbox and spam/junk folder for this email and click on the Verify Now link to verify the account.  If the email isn't there, she can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under her Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.
Or, you can just delete the account (which is a misnomer since until verified the account isn't really created).

  • TS3988 How can I set up a new icloud account with a new apple id when I have an old account for which I have lost the password and security questions etc

I have changed isp and no longer have access to rescue email addresses and have lost my details. I have set up a new apple id and want to set up icloud with this but cant get past the icloud preferences pane with the old address. How do I get around this?

Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account (this disconnects the device from icloud but doesn't delete any data on icloud or on other devices).
If you then want to sign back in using a different ID, do so on the same screen.

  • I now have a new Apple ID because we forgot our password to the old one. How do I set up a new iCloud account without that old Apple ID password?

The iCloud message always pops up, however, it's conncected to our old Apple ID account which we no longer have the password for. Is there a way to delete that account and make a new one without the old password?

If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
If the old ID isn't yours, or if the new ID is an entirely new ID, you'll have to reset the password for the old ID if you can't remember it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787.  (Your iCloud ID is also an Apple ID.)

When you migrate a MobileMe account to iCloud your email is transferred to the iCloud server, including all folders on the server.
However your signature says you have 10.6.8 - is this correct? (If not please amend it to prevent confusion.) Snow Leopard is not compliant with iCloud but you can set Mail up manually to access your iCloud email. Please see this page:
