How do I transfer videos that I taped on my iPhone on to something else?? It is using all my memory up - or so my phone keeps saying!

I used my iphone to video one of my children in a play and I would like to transfer it to another source. My iphone keeps telling me that I am running out of memory or something and I think it has to do with the amount of video I have.

If you are referring to the Camera Roll, there is no way for you to sync video from the computer to the Camera Roll. And, as you have already discovered, when you attempt to sync video to the phone it appears in the video app, which is where they are supposed to appear. The only way for video to appear in the Camera Roll is for it to have been taken by the iPhone and not deleted from the Camera Roll.

I have bought my iPhone 3G yesterday. I have found out how to transfer music from iTunes however i can't transfer videos. I'm selecting the videos i want to transfer on the videos tab after i chose my iphone from the side menu and pressing apply. iTunes says that its syncing my iphone but it doesnt transfer the videos.
Lately i have found out a function on the advanced menu for movies as "create iphone or ipod version". When i used that it transfered that video to my iPhone however the sound was completely lost besides that action takes too much time(around 10 mins for a 3 min video and i have a pretty strong computer).
How can i transfer videos without losing the sound to my iPhone 3G?

One thing I'd recommend is that you make sure the video/audio you're trying to transfer falls within the guidelines listed in the 'Video' section here:

What's most likely happening is that the file is not converted as such so when you try to transfer it, it's wanting to convert it but is unable to for any number of reasons.
There's software out there that might make this easier for you but I can't recommend anything specifically.

You can do it wirelessly with Dropbox. The Dropbox app has a very cool auto-upload process that will automatically upload photos and videos from the iPad Camera Roll to Dropbox.
First sign up for a free Dropbox account from your computer.
Then, download the free Dropbox app on your iPad.
Log in to the Dropbox app on the iPad with your new account and click on the Photos icon in the lower left corner of the screen (second one from the left).
Select "Enable Camera Upload" and "Only Wi-Fi." The upload process will begin for all existing photos and videos in the Camera Roll.

I agree with you...to a point. I knew my 13-inch aluminum had no firewire, but I had no idea Apple would leave me high and dry by creating a product that would not accept DV video by any means. That's like producing a computer without a headphone jack. It's unconscionable for a company that promotes easy video editing and creation as one of their primary selling points to put a product like this out there. I have iMovie and I can't even use it?? Who thought THAT was a good idea? I upgraded to Mac for a reason and I'm deeply disappointed.
