Depends on what you mean by "surprises" in the bill. Verizon's rates for using your phone internationally are pretty expensive, ~$0.99/minute. I would certainly think a 10 minute call for $10 would be surprising!
Well it would certainly depend on your phone, but if it is a 4G LTE phone, you can simply purchase a prepaid SIM card from the location you are going, switch that with the SIM card currently in your phone and you would be using your phone locally in that location. Of course you would need to notify people needing to contact you of your "temporary" new international phone number. Make sure you keep your Verizon SIM card safe as you would want to switch back to it when returning to the states.
You can see Verizon's global services information HERE. It includes a trip planner and would be more specific on the prices you would expect to pay if you chose to use Verizon's service rather than a local SIM card from where you are visiting.

Hello, I am running a Mac book pro soft. 10.5.8 version. Since June the current year I did not get any updates for the software or any kinds of the other application, in my opinion that's weird for such a company.
The problem that I have now is with the Iphone 5 which is not supported for the current Itunes and I can not download the Itunes 10.7 version. What I supposed to do in this case because I can not syncronize at all.
Please give me a hand as soon as possible.
Many thanksMac OS X 10.5.8 is years old, 3 major versions out-of-date and unsupported at this point. You will never get any further updates for 10.5.8, and more and more applications will stop supporting 10.5.8 as time goes on. As mende1 points out, you can buy Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), which will let you use your new iPhone with your computer, but you need to make sure your computer's hardware is supported. See the system requirements for Snow Leopard:

If your computer cannot run Snow Leopard, you will need to either buy a new computer or abandon any thoughts of syncing the iPhone with that computer.
Also, note that you'll get far better integration of your iPhone and your Mac if you're using Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) or Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8), which are required to use iCloud. Of course, the requirements of those systems are even steeper than those of Snow Leopard:

On my Iphone 4s, I can not get any response accept the apple logo after recharging for an entire day and trying to connect to iTunes. A few days before that the speaker suddenly stopped working during a call. I also reset everything by connecting to itunes but no luck then. help?

It sounds like you are putting a password for your Apple ID that works without issue on your iPad into your iPhone but get a message saying that the password is incorrect. I recommend the steps from the article named:

After completing iOS 7 setup, go to Settings > iCloud.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then enter your previous Apple ID and password.

My phone is not ringing even with the ringer volume up to the max. Music will not play through the phone.
My phone is not on mute, the volume is up to the max, there are no blue tooth connections, the phone will not ring only vibrate with the ringer on. I cannot hear any music through the phone either.

I just recently purchased a iPhone 4. I am using it as Prepaid for Verizon. I only get a certain amount of data time, and was trying to use the wifi at my house in order to do somethings online without using my prepaid data, but for some reason it will not pick up the wifi at all, and when i try all the different things I have been told to try it still does not work, how do I get the wifi to work?
You didn't say what you have already tried, but if you haven't already done so, power-cycle your router (unplug it for 15 seconds then plug it back in), then on your phone go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Reset Network Settings, then try joining your wifi again.

I have a fifth gen ipod classic. I switched computers and was not able to transfer the songs and pictures over. When I connect my ipod to the computer it wants to sync with it which would delete all my songs and music. Is there a way around this?

Entering a URL in the address bar and hitting enter does nothing. Neither the "enter" button or "address bar arrow", for going to the website, function. Website does not load and no error messages appear. "Enter" button works fine in the FF search box and in IE, so it's not my keyboard.
Tried most of the recommended fixes under the "Error loading websites" article with the exception of "DNS refetching", as typing "about:config" in the location bar does no good as the "enter button" won't function. I've removed and re-added FF back into the windows firewall, removed ZoneAlarm from my system, edited proxy settings, deleted and reinstalled FF several times. NOTHING WORKS!!! I'm a die hard FF fan and this is KILLING me. Please HELP!!!You have a lot of information in packed in the "More system details..." (in the right-hand column), where it looks like you found a solution. If not take a look at "Problematic Extensions" the AVG Free installation of their "'''AVG Free Search'''" can cause such problems. Directions to fix that are specific and involve reinstalling AVG Free without the Link Scanner component.

I used to use Movie Maker and it would be able to handle lots of file uploads and big projects. I figure iMovie can do the same since it's newer and it's on my iMac. I was working on a project for a few months, it was working fine up until about a few days ago when the project file just stopped working. Not getting any audio or visuals and the screen went grey. I hope to not lose the project file as I've spent a lot of time on it. The project will still show up in iMovie, but it won't play. Other project files will, but this one won't for some reason. It's my first time using this program and I assumed it would be fine, but now it's causing me big problems. Anyone else run into a similar problem?
But it is I jsut can sync, back up files, or anything becuase its stuck at this screene and wont do execute when i click either of those button

I have had this problem before. I just cant remember how I fixed it. I am not getting any sound from the HDMI output. Everything is selected properly and volumes are set correctly. Last time I had to change a megahrz thing and thats where I am stumped.

I am running on OSX 10.10.1 and have a 2009 imac intel and I am having severe latency issues. I am not familiar with macs as this is my home computer used by other family members. Any help on how to troubleshoot why such latency issues?

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.

I`d like to know how can i insert documents, xls/doc/pdf into iCloud and have them in my iPhone and my iPad. I just found one way, through ibooks, but i think it isn't a practical option.
Just use Drop Box instead.

I have a PC at work and a Mac at home. Both run Itunes under same Apple ID account. Each computer's itunes library is common by around 75% of the songs. How can I sync both computers to a common song library, so that all songs can be updated for both computers? Will ITunes Match do that?
I solved this by reset of the Wifi (unplug cable and power to both modem and wifi ... wait 60 sec ... plug in modem cable and power ... plug in wifi power and LAN to modem ... restart AppleTV and Mac ... Turn Home Share 'OFF' in iTunes then back "ON" ... it took ~60 sec for the AppleTV to pick up my Mac in computers.

My url-bar is not auto-completing; I have checked all the normal possibilities why.
