I would say its just a conicidence and recommend you to do a system restore. As its an intermittent problem, you never know if you face same issue once again.

Blue screen in HP Pavilion dv4- 1115ef
Dear All
I have HP Pavilion dv4- 1115ef laptop.
It was working nicely. I have properly shutdown but next day I was not able to start my laptop.
There was a message that there is some problem and start the machine in normal mode or launch the startup.
In start up mode there was blue screen but i am not able to start my laptop.
I have lot of data in that so i want to recover all data.
Kindly suggest me the best option to get back my laptop in workng position without loosing any data.
Thanks a lot in advance.

View Solution. The most simple requests are not necessarily easy. Since the laptop will not boot, it will be more of a challenge. Assuming that a usable PC is available, make a Linux Live CD on a working PC, change the HP Pavilion dv4- 1115ef laptop boot order in the BIOS setting page to boot from the DVD/CD drive, and then hope the flaky laptop can boot to the Linux CD. Then either use a DVD, flash drive or external hard drive to back up the data. If the laptop will not properly boot to the Linux CD, then a somewhat more difficult approach is to remove the laptop hard drive, get an external drive adapter to USB and then try to retrieve the data with a working PC.
Any hope that the hard drive still works OK and the problem is something else that can be solved later, Good luck.

How can I fix this blue screen?
When I start up my Mac, I see nothing but a blue screen. I can move the mouse around, but that’s about it. How can I fix this blue screen?

"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward. -
I have MacOS 10.5.8. It is not booting. It stops at the blue screen. I used the disc utility - verify disc. I get the following message - Invalid sibling link. Volume check failed. Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed. Please give a solution anybody?
Many times I tried to simply update from 10.5.8 without any success. It starts and after few minutes ...
I used many different install disks (I bought ofiicial release from Mac seller), so I think this is not a problem with wrong version or bad install disk. A few days ago I've got back my computer from Apple technical support and technician told me he had this same problem with system installation -
How can I back up an iphone when I haven't set the phone up for back ups & the touch screen doesn't work? The phone can receive calls (not answer) & the pictures & messages can be seen but the touch screen doesn't work to unlock the phone or select anything. We want to save/transfer pictures, contacts, and music to the replacement phone.
Try backing it up to your computer with iTunes. Connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of the phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. Also go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer you apps and other purchased media to your iTunes library.

Who knows how to fix iphone 5s blue screen of death and itunes error 4013?!
Hi
Last day, dec 14th, a blue screen of death appears on my iphone 5s, aparently because I was installing facebook app.
After that, the iphone remains restarting over and over non stop, until the battery shutoff.
I try to press home and power/sleep buttons for 10 secs, but stil continuous with the blue screen.
After that, with battery charged, I tried to hold the home button and simultaneously connect to an usb cable (the cable is in perfect conditions) to start itunes.
Its worked, but now, everytime shows an itunes message: error 4013, "the iphone cannot be restored".
What can I do now?!
ThanksHi Tks777,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you see an "error 4013" when you try to restore your iPhone, try these troubleshooting steps:
Error 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, and 4016
After you perform each step, try to restore your device.
Restart your computer.
Disconnect all your USB devices from your computer and connect to another USB port.
Use a different USB cable.
Uninstall third-party security software.
Try restoring using an alternate computer.
You can find the article with these steps here:

Just recently my MBP started constantly flashing a blue screen, I've only had this computer for about 4 months. Quite annoying to tell you the truth. Does anybody have any advice that they can give me? I know the problem has been going on for a while, but all the forums that I've read are not that clear on how to fix it. Help...

I turn on my computer and all i get is a blank white/grey screen. No logo, no loading symbol, just a blank screen;
Command+R does nothing,
Holding Shift does nothing
Press and hold the power button down to turn of the machine.
Press and hold the Command Option R keys on the built in keyboard and press the power button, you have to be near your high speed Internet connection.
If you get something like "Install OS X" do that, it will overwrite your old copy with a new one and not touch your files or most programs.
If you can't install OS X, head to Disk Utility and First Aid > Repair Disk and Permissions and try reisntalling OS X again. (do not erase the drive as this will wipe your data off, unless your sure)
If you still get the white/gray screen with nothing while holding the Command Option R keys at boot time, I suspect your EFI firmware has been borked somehow and it's not loading to respond to the at boot key commands.
We are able to reinstall the EFI firmware ourselves, but the current method requires a machine with a internal optical drive. This problem occurs so rarely that it's not been used much and certainly unknown how well it works off a USB thumb drive, which is what I suspect the Apple Store/Repair will do.
Since your under warranty, I would have Apple replace the EFI firmware and check the machine out for hardware issues as well.
Buy AppleCare and a external drive for TimeMachine backups. -
I turned on the laptop and it would only show the blue screen for a second and then cut off. I tried F7, F8, F9, F10, F11 and nothing seems to work. I tried starting it in the last good sector. I tried fixing it and nothing seems to work.
The blue screen also says - disable memory option (caching/shadowing).
I bought this latptop with the original Vista OS but I later received the Window 7 upgrade through HP. This laptop did not come with recovery CDs.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix the problem? Please help meShort DST: FAILED

How to Fix several different Blue screen errors that keep recurring at random times.
I am hopeless at this point and do not know anywhere to go or what to do, I keep on getting blue screens at random times sometimes it won't happen for a week and other times it can happen almost 5 times a day or in the same hour I do not know what it is
that causes these blue screens almost every blue screen has a different problem message on it... I have some dump files on a dropbox I don't know what else to provide but I can provide anything else if needed to help resolve the issue.
