Cant find any topics on mail here but as the question relates to calander as well this is the only place I can post it.
How can I turn an email into a calander event?
I've have only been using a Macbook pro now for under 1 month but one critical piece of functionality has me stumped. In outlook, I could turn a mail item into a calendar or task item by simply dragging the message over the calendar icon on Outlook's folder bar and the contents would become a calendar item.
How do I do that on the Mac? I dont rally want to use third party apps as I would have thought that this basic piece of functionality would have been included?

Did you hover over the date?
If the email has no date in it, it would be difficult for an automated process to add it to iCal! However, there are add-ons that provide a basic functionality, though I don't know if they've been updated for 10.8. Take a look, for example, at Mail2iCal

You need to look at Dreamweaver as a code editor. You need to learn to create good, clean HTML code with style sheets to make websites with Dreamweaver.
There are tutorials that will take you from a layered .PSD file to HTML. Here's a good one:

Adobe's Muse is a semi-WYSIWYG website layout creator for small websites (1-5 pages). But there is no way you can go from a .PDS file to Muse, you have to start the site in Muse.
I have seen a few Muse sites and they're OK, but there is some code that Muse creates that is kind of odd. If you want a good, clean website that will work for you or your business, Dreamweaver is the best choice. Alternatively, you could hire a pro.

I should also mention that if you create the shape with any of the shape tools (rectangle, Polly star, eclipse) instead of the pen tool you will have to convert the shape to a bezier path before you can copy the path and paste it to a mask. Remove all the email accounts that are on the device.
Turn off FaceTime & iMessage.
Create a new Apple ID using a new email address that you create, and that only you know the password to.
Use that Apple ID for Settings > iCloud and Settings > iTunes & App Store.
Delete all the third-party apps on the device.
Go into Setting > Cellular and disable all apps from using cellular data (except Find My iPhone). Or even disable Cellular data totally.
Use the Restrictions option under Settings > General > Restrictions. Create a Restrictions passcode that only you know
Disable the ability to use everything from Safari down to Carplay under the Restrictions.
Set all the allowed content to the most restricted options available.
Set the Allow Changes in Restrictions to prevent allowing changes to Account, Cellular Data Use, ad maybe even volume limit.
That pretty much makes it so she can make phone calls and use normal texting, but has no internet access, no way to browse online, no way to use any apps other than what's already pre-installed, can't use FaceTime, can't use the Camera, can't add email accounts to the device, can't change out the iCloud account, etc. It basically dumbs the iPhone down as far as it can possibly go.

WHY ? Because I have great problems with MAIL, after a disastrous failed installation (and removal) of Safari 4 in 2009. Niel, That's exactly what I want to do: change or turn off the default email client so MAIL (apple's mail program) does not open by default. But I can't find a way of doing that, certainly not in "system preferences". I used spotlight to find "RCDefaultApp" and nothing exists by that name, or RC Default et al...

Is there another way. This one puts to many pages in the site menu. On photo pages you can limit the # of photos per page and the programs makes additional pages that are numbered but don't appear on the site menu. Like when you are reading a long news article and it has multiple pages.
