How do I turn down the volume of the Media Browser in Audition?

See subject above/

I'm using an RME Multiface II and mixing in 5.1, but the point is that the project is very quiet, and many of my samples are loud. If I turn down the whole thing, I can't hear the soft project over the loud samples that I'm trying to add. (When I'm working in Acid or Reaper with loop-based stuff, I can simply turn down a volume slider in the media browser equivalent.)

how can i turn down the fan rpm that's between the optical drive and hdd in my power mac g5 dual 2.3?

Ok, I saw that error in your logic. A Dual G5 2.3 or even a Dual Core 2.3 does NOT use LCS at all. Its air cooled and if anything if the OP is experiencing this problems could be due to possible heatsink paste drying up. He might have to re-apply MX 7 or Arctic Silver.
The only G5's that use LCS are: G5 dual 2.5 from Late 2004, the G5 Dual 2.7 from Early 2005, and lastly the G5 Quad-Core from Late 2005-end of September 2006.
    Hope this helps.

If you press the Home button and open Security, you can change "Auto Lock Device" to "Never". Does that do what you want?

  • Moved iPhoto library - how do I re-direct the media browser?

I've moved my iPhoto library to an external disk - how do I re-direct the iWeb media browser so that it looks in the right place (external drive) rather than still looking in the original location?
    Thanks!

I remember someone else trying this...moving their iPhoto library to an external drive. It works fine for iPhoto but not for the Media Browser, unfortunately. I think this person tried to create aliases and some other workarounds. But to no avail. You are probably better off not using the Media Browser anyway and instead exporting from iPhoto so that you can scale down your photos BEFORE using them in iWeb. This would avoid some issues with iWeb keeping HUGE copies of your images in the Domain file and in some cases (RSS blog/podcast) even uploading the HUGE files.

how do u stop the ticking(clicking) when adjusting the volume using the remote control?

    Hi philippalldino,
I understand that you do not wish to hear your volume feedback when adjusting the volume of your computer. Here is an article that will tell you how to disable this feature:

  • How do I turn down the music when a video plays during a slideshow in iphoto?

The slideshow music volume does go down slightly when a video plays but sometimes it can be difficult to hear what is being said.  Is there anyway to have the music turn off when a video plays as part of a slideshow, or as least control how low it is?  Thanks for your help!

You can't.  There used to be a mute music during video play option but that never worked very well. To get it as you want you'll have to create the slideshow in iMovie where you can add and control the audio tracks.
I prefer using iMovie 6 HD for that as it give users by far the best control over audio tracks.

  • Turning down the verbosity of logging in  search service

    Hello old friends.
Our search node is generating 1.5gb of logs per day. how can i turn down the verbosity of the logging? I don't see any configuration files that get read, and the config mgr doesn't have anything about logging verbosity.

Here are 2 log file settings in the search area, not sure what they impact but I don't see many other log setting files.
Definitely let us know what you uncover though.
    1)
    Cluster.ini file at this path:
    \bea\alui\ptsearchserver\10.3.0\cluster

    # The following settings may be used to override the default logging policies.
    # For a given severity level specify a comma-delimited list of values
    # corresponding to the logs which should receive log messages at that
    # severity level. Acceptable values are trace, event, cluster, none.
    # Note that internally log messages are routed either to the cluster log
    # or the local logs. While a cluster log message may be echoed to the
    # local logs, a local log will never be sent to the cluster log
    #RF_LOG_DEBUG_OUTPUT=none
    #RF_LOG_INFO_OUTPUT=trace
    #RF_LOG_WARN_OUTPUT=trace,event,cluster

  • Timecode in the media browser - Sony F55 Xavc

Working in of PP CC with footage from the Sony F55 (4k Xavc codec) and timecode is not available in the media browser. The only work aounrd is to import ALL of the footage in the project. Any ideas on how to see timecode in the media browser so as to avoid import of masive amounts of footage?

That's where I'm trying to change them. It doesn't allow for anything other than "XDCAM-HD", which doesn't have any timecode columns (it does have duration, but that doesn't help me at all).  Even if I change it something to like "AVCHD", which does have Start Timecode,  it defaults right back to XDCAM-HD.

  • Turn down the volume of built-in speaker before playing music

So I was wondering if there was any way to turn down the volume of the built in speaker prior to playing music/video. I imagine that if I'm REALLY quick and pause the action, I can turn it down, but I'd rather not have to race against time.
The context for this, is the desire to show someone else video on the iPhone (say a National Geographic video podcast) without the audio blasting forth.
    Any ideas?

So you're saying the phone doesn't remember the previous setting you had it at and jumps up or something...?
..or you want to hit play and have it not play so you can adjust the volume first...sorry can't help if that's the case. It kind of doesn't make sense from a UI perspective, when I press play or start a video I want it to play....different strokes for different folks tho

  • How do i stop muting people during my conversations? i don't mean to hit mute but it always happens. can i turn down the sensitivity?

how do i stop muting people during my conversations? i don't mean to hit mute but it always happens. can i turn down the sensitivity?

The iPhone includes a proximity sensor which puts the screen to sleep or turns it off when the iPhone is held to your ear and face during a call.
Do you have a screen protector installed and/or are you using a case that might be blocking or partially blocking the proximity sensor?
If you are using a case, remove the case before the next call. If the same does not occur without the case, you need to get another case that doesn't block the proximity sensor.

  • Inspire s2 wireless turns down the volume by itself.

Hey. I bought my Inspire about a year ago and it worked fine.
Then suddenly when i connected it to my laptop it turns the volume down. I can turn it up again but it just keeps muting.
First i thought it was my laptop settings and i'm not a geniuos with computers.
But then i connected the speakers with my iPod touch and it still turns down the volume totally random. It does it approx every 5 minutes.
Can anyone tell what the devil the matter is?
(Sorry for my english, i'm danish :P )?

    Hi,
Sorry but this doesn't sound right, I suppose something's wrong with the speakers. You might want to contact Customer Support for assistance.
