How do I turn off activation code

Not happy with this aspect of new OIS7.
I don't want to have to mess about entering a code every time I look at my phone. How do I switch it off?

Activation code for what? Macs don't have activation codes. Unless you have a Mac that is a company computer that has been specifically set up to ask for a firmware password at boot up ??

  • How do I turn off "Activation Lock" from found I pod Touch?

I have found my Ipod ouch (fifth generation) by use of Icloud, but now I can not turn the "Activation Lock" removed from my device. The device keeps on typing letters rapidly in the space I am to iput my apple password.  I have used several procedures fro apple support to restore my device to no avail, , but by following a procedure called DFU in a blog. I was able (I thought) to rest the Ipod and sync with Itune, but the problem sitill exists and I do not have control of the Ipod (half of digital keyboard is covered with vertical color lines and keyboard is self typing in the password space) Also I have not been able to turn find my Ipod off in the devive.  I cloud is no help after I removed the device following one of apple's support procedures
    Appreciate Any help.

You're welcome.  Activation lock looks like the image below.  There shouldn't be any verticle lines.  You have to enter the ID (which is only partially shown) and password that were used to originally activate the device in order to reactivate it.

  • How do I turn off background ni file activity when not using Labview? files such as nimxs.exe, nipalsm.exe, nipalsm.exe, nisvcloc.exe, nicitdl5.exe

How do I turn off background ni file activity when not using Labview? I use labview rarely, and I also use my computer for demanding multimedia applications, including multitrack digital audio recording. I need to reduce as much background activity as possible, and taking a look with task manager I see files such as nimxs.exe, nipalsm.exe, nipalsm.exe, nisvcloc.exe, and nicitdl5.exe running even when I haven't used Labview (8 I believe). These files run even after I right click the NI icon on the lower right and turn off the application. I would like the computer to boot up without these files, and for the necessary files to be activated only when I start the program.
Can this be done or do I have to remove labview from the system to improve performance?
    Thanks

Hello, those processes are part of running NI services that start when Windows boots.  These processes serve varied purposes and stopping them can have undefined and unknown consiquences for your NI products.  These products run at "normal" priority meaning that they should be preempted by any process running at a higher priority which I would expect your other application to be doing given their time sensitivity.  That being said, in Windows XP (I can't speak for other OSes), you can lower their priorities even greater through task manager (right click the process»set priority) to further remove them from contention for resources.  If you want to prevent them from running you can set the service startup type to "manual" in Control Panel»Administrative Tools»Services.  Right click the process go to Properties and Under the General tab choose Startup Type»Manual.  This will start up the processes only when something directly starts it up.  LabVIEW will start these processes up as it attempts to use them.  When you shut down LabVIEW you will need to manually shut down these processes through task manager.  Again, doing this can cause problems with your NI products on your system and it is not advised.

  • How to turn off Pass Code lock

I am using Google Apps.  I setup my iPhone 4s Mail account following these instructions, http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740.  As instructed I used the Microsoft Exchange account.  Later I set up a pass code and turned Pass Code lock ON.  Mail works perfectly, however I am not given the choice to turn Pass Code lock Off.  I do not believe Microsoft Exchange requires Pass Code Lock as I setup another user's iPhone 4s the same way, but never activated Pass Code Lock.  (On this phone I still have the option of setting up a Pass Code and turning it on.)
I would like to be able to turn off Pass Code Lock.

Thank you for all of your answer.

I've seen it mentioned on here that a PRAM reset may solve it:
    Reset PRAM
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P and R.
You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • HELP! How do I turn off this....

I been read blackberry manual book but all the information not tell me detail which piss me off. My question is how do I turn off the vibrate for specific Blackberry Instant Messge (BIM) cause many friend keep talk me and the vibrate drain my battery. Also I would like know what the heck is "Level 1 Message" and "Messenger" cause there no information explain about this. you can find under speaker icon > Profile > Vibrate. If you know anything about this and I thank you so much.

First off your BIM, BlackBerry Instant Message is the same as BlackBerry Messenger.
    1. BBMessenger to turn off vibrate: Edit your profiles per the instructions below, look at "Messenger" settings (there are two for new message and alert) and set that to profiles.
    2.  So you know now what Messenger is.  Level 1 Messages can be PIN messages or any user you set to receive as Level 1 Messages, which can receive a different notification alert than other messages. Look at your Messages > Options > General Options.
     1. Select the Profiles icon
    2. A box will appear where you can quick select between Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone Only, and Off. If you wish to quick change the device profiles then select the one you want and exit out.
    3. If you want to edit the tones assigned to the device applications then select the last option, Advanced
(some older models and OS 4.1 and below will not have the "Advanced" step--if Advanced is not present go directly to Step 4 below).
    4. Select the profile you wish to edit. (Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal (default), Phone Only, Off)
Note: on the 8100, 8800, and 8300 models: Do not click the trackball. Instead, click the menu key to the left of the trackball).
Note: The profile that is in use will say: (Active)
    5. You will now see a list of all applications that can have a tone assigned (Browser, Calendar, Level 1 Messages, Messages ([email protected]), Messenger, MMS, Phone, SMS, Task ect..)
    6. Select the application you wish to edit the tone / notification for
    7. You can now edit Out of Holster and In Holster tones/ notifications.
    a) Select between: None, Tone, Vibrate, Vibrate+Tone
    b) Select the Tune you wish to use
    c) Select Volume (options are Mute, Low, Medium, High, Escalating)
    d) Select Number of Beeps (options are 1, 2, 3)
    e) Select Repeat Notification (options are None, LED Flashing)
    f) If set to Vibrate or Vibrate+Tone then select Number of Vibrations (options are 1, 2, 3)
    8. Repeat a-e for each of the desired applications listed in 5 above

  • How do I turn off messages on my iMac after upgrading to Yosemite?

How do I turn off messages on my iMac after upgrading to Yosemite?

    Hi,
    Open the Messages app.
Go to the Preferences item in the app's Menu.
Select the account pane in the Preferences.
Each active account should have a tick in the Enable this Account box.
    This can be unticked.
This will stop accounts logging in but will not stop the app Launching in certain circumstances.
First of all check the app is Quit before shutting down the computer.
The fact the app is open even if all windows are hidden can cause the app to restart when you Start up the computer.
Messages is a  Multiple window app and using the red button on the top left of a window only closes that window and does not Quit the app.
Also check the System Preferences > Users and Groups > your account > Login Items tab.
This will list items that are set to Start up when the computer does.
I have a couple of External Drive on other computers, some Anti Virus software and the common iTunes Helper plus an old version of TextExpander that will work if I launch the Preference Pane this way.

  • How do I turn OFF blue underlining in iMessage?

How do I disable the blue underlining when I dictate a message on my iPhone (iOS 8.2)? I have never had this feature before and it just started. I know what happened – I was in iMessage and I was frustrated because I could not get the control center to come up. So I swiped up a bunch of times (like 20) in frustration to try to get it to come up. The control center did not come up, but I did somehow manage to turn on predictive text and the blue underlining. I turned off predictive text in Settings, but how do I turn off the blue underlining? Thanks.

  • How do you turn off Camera?

In an AIR application, how do you turn off the camera once it has been activated? I remove all references to Video objects associated with the camera, unattach the camera from NetStreams, and remove references to the camera object. This does not deactivate the camera; it seems to be necessary to run the garbage collector too. The trouble is that running the program in the debugger with the manual garbage collector action causes the application to be unresponsive for >30 seconds, which is extremely annoying. Is there a simpler way to turn off the camera?
For reference, I am testing on a MacBook that has an LED for when the camera is in use.
    EDIT:
I have opened a bug for this, which Adobe appears to say is an enhancement.

This is the most annoying thing on an otherwise awesome phone...can't take pics at my nieces school plays and stuff now. Blackberry Needs to fix this NOW! It is not illegal in the US to turn off your shutter sound....WTF Blackberry?!?

  • Unity - How do I turn off voicemail message "your mailbox is almost full"?

We recently set a mailbox limit on our exchange server. Some users are over the limit until they deuce their mailbox size. When they check their messages via the 7940 "messages" button, they get the message "Your mailbox is almost full?etc" before it will playback their messages. Once they get their mailbox under 90% of the limit the messages will go away. My question is how do I turn off the message? I realize the message is a "good thing", but even if it's a system (all off) setting, please post. I did find how keep outside users that are calling in from hearing that they can't leave a message because the person they're trying to contact has a full mailbox, so that's not what I'm looking for. I?m just trying to find out how to keep the user with the new limit from hearing that every time.
    We are running Unity 4.2(1)

You can disable this in the registry. This is not a Cisco documented or recommended option. I have done it for customers who were really adament about the notifications.
Here are the steps to do on your Unity server. Again I want to stress I'm not sure if this is Cisco supported but it's a simple change that requires no reboot.
    1. Backup your windows registry
    2. Open regedit
    3. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Active Voice\MalEx\1.0
    4. Open the REG_DWORD DisableStatusCheck
    5. Change the value from 0 to 1
This should take effect right away. This is a universal system all off for the Unity server only. Exchange is not effected.

  • How do I turn-off the CSS rule dialog?

I would  like to know how to turn-off the CSS rule dialog.
I support a user who has been using DreamWeaver for years and was recently forced to upgrade to the new version. None of the hundreds of files in the site he maintains use CSS. While I recognize it is a "better" and "more efficient" way to do things --- IF you're a sofware engineer -- it is not even close to being worth the cost to revise the entire site and retrain this user.
So, how can i turn off, not just the pop-up, but how I can tell DW to just go ahead and do it the old-fashioned, embedded in the HTML way of doing things?
All the user wants to do is change the color of some keywords, css is overkill when that's all he's doing.
We'd go back to the previous version except the office was forced onto Vista and the older version won't run.

    ADDING  FONT  TAGS:
By David Powers from the help doc:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-7ce ba.html
You won't see anywhere to enter such information in the HTML Property inspector. Dreamweaver CS4 does not support <font> tags, except in Code view. The W3C deprecated <font> tags ten years ago, so CS4 decided to get rid of them from the main user interface.
If you want to add styles to a short selection of text, you have two options:
    1. Create embedded styles in the <head> of the page.
    2. Create inline styles.
Both are done using the Property inspector in CSS mode (click the CSS button on the left). Select the text you want to style. How and where the style is created depends on what you select in the Targeted Rule field.
If you select <New CSS Rule>, you can then select the font, size, or colour in the Property inspector. As soon as you choose one of these, you will be prompted to choose a class name, and the location of the new style. To embed the style in the <head> of the page,  select "This document only".
The name of the class will appear in the Targeted Rule field, and you can add other values to it.
If you select <New Inline Style> in the Targeted Rule field, you can apply any of the properties in the Property inspector. This wraps your text selection with a <span> tag that contains the CSS properties as an inline style, e.g., <span style="font-family: 'Palatino Linotype', 'Book Antiqua', Palatino, serif; font-size: 24px;">Styled text</span>.

Note:   If you select text in Code view, you can apply font tags by selecting Format > Font from the main menu. This works only in Code view; selecting Format > Font in Design view launches the New CSS Rule dialog box.
