How do I turn off disc insert options?

Whenever I insert a disc, I don't want iTunes butting in as if it were the only program I'd ever use with a blank disc!
I have 2 pet peeves,
Software that presumes its the most important thing on my computer and is therefore the default choice for anything I could ever think of doing, probably because the people who created it are convinced they've found the answer to the mystery of life itself.
People that have pet peeves.
Oh, yeah. Oh well, too late now. But if anyone can show where they've hidden the place to turn this "feature" off, I'd be most grateful . . .

I've got options for 2, 5, 10, 15 minutes and Never. Have you got an Exchange email account on your iPad ? 'Never' can be removed so as to protect a company's potentially sensitive email - they may not want the iPad being left/stolen with the emails on it accessible. If you remove the account the Never option will probably reappear

works ok on mine - (5, 7.1.1). Try again. with previews set to none, mine shows the sender and the subject line only. (you cannot get rid of the subject) with the other settings, you get the sender, subject line and however many lines you selected.

You can't. Do you have an Exchange account on the phone? If so, the ability to disable the passcode can be restricted by a profile installed when setting up the Exchange account.

How do I turn off Spaces options?

With Spaces I had the erminal application appear on each space. Now that spaces has gone and we use the swiping thing my terminal app appears on each page. The problem is it's *always* brought to the front even if it wasn't actively being used on another page.

How can I turn off the autocomplete / autofill function in Mail (Mail 7.2)? I know how to remove email addresses from the 'Previous recipient' list, but I simply want to deactivate the autocomplete function for email addresses entirely.
You used to be able to do this via Mail - Preferences - Composing, but I upgraded to Mavericks today, and the option to deactivate the autocomplete funtion for email addresses is no longer there.
Does anyone know where to find it?

Usually Escape would make me exit the text box
Is there any chance you mis-remember? The Keynote shortcut for exiting text editing and selecting the text box is ⌘↩ (command-return).

how do I turn off the repeating heading row feature in tables? I've looked through Table Designer and on-line Help but no joy. I know it's probably something very simple but I just can't find it.

Also, if you already have heading rows and you are just trying to get rid of them, I think your only option is to delete them. If a heading row contains content that should be in a body row, create a new body row and copy/paste the content into it before deletion of the heading row. I think you can also just copy the whole row, put the insertion point in the body area, then paste, and it magically becomes a body row. Note that you can restore heading rows with the Add Rows and Columns feature.

It sounds like your screen recording is doing what it was designed to do, capture what is happening on your screen, with optional voice over with the microphone.
Screen recording is for recording what you see on the screen, it is not a "video capture" option, like for capturing a movie with sound that is playing on your screen.

It worked for me and my "user" site (don't know how to say my site) and still having problems with my wife's. I have gone to OPTIONS → GONE TO → ADVANCE and CLICKED THE LINE → ""Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page…""

You should still disable this setting:
*Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
What is the value of the accessibility.blockautorefresh pref on the about:config page?
