How do i turn off iCloud connection in iTunes11

Another problem with iTunes11. Last night I spent close to an hour deleting duplicate iCloud copies of tracks I had previously bought via the iTunes store. Now I find they're back in the listing.
I've checked online for instructions which refer (for people using a Windows platform) to an iCloud control panel. I haven't been able to locate this in Windows, elsewhere on my PC, or in iTunes.Where is it?
Please help me to turn off another wretched, unwanted, unvalued "benefit" (yeah, right) of iTunes11. Any suggestions very very very gratefully received.

If you have a downloaded copy of one of your previous purchases then iTUnes is not supposed to show a cloud link as well. To remove the cloud links use Edit > Preferences > Store and turn off the option to Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases. You may well find that if you turn the option back on it successfully matches with your library and no longer displays duplicates.
The iCloud control panel is optional on Windows Vista. It provides access to your Photo Stream if you have an iOS device. Download here: iCloud Control Panel 2.1.3 for Windows Vista.
Should you have real duplicates to clean up see this post.

    3. convert higher bit rate

  • TS3988 How do I turn off iCloud and go back to the way I had it before?

I am unhappy with iCloud for a number of reasons. I want to go back to backing up my music to an external HD, storing music on my devices, and turn off iCloud.
How do I turn off iCloud? I have iTunes on a PC.
    THANKS

Current Firefox versions remember the download directory based upon the URL, so if the URL changes then the default folder may be chosen if there hasn't been selected a download folder before for that server.

Bug 536503 - Last downloaded-to directory should be remembered on a site-by-site basis
Firefox 11 will have a workaround by providing a pref (browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite) to disable this feature.

How do I turn off icloud on my iphone 4s?
Can I still use Find My Phone?

You cannot use Find My iPhone without iCloud.
If you want to sign off of your iCloud account on your iPhone, you go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and sign out. It will ask for your password so it can turn off Find My iPhone before removing the iCloud account from your device.

How can I turn off iCloud without losing my documents?
When I try to sign out Icloud I get the warning (( If you turn off Documents & Data, all documents stored in Icloud will be removed from this Mac))
I don,t want to remove my document on my computer, what should I do?

If you are refering to documents such as Pages and Numbers files....
The only way around this is to "save as" you icloud documents using the associated app to a local folder on your mac.  Then turn off icloud.
Of course, when you sign off of icloud, the docs are removed from the mac, but remain in icloud.  In the future when you sign back in, the documents are available to you again.
Oh, and the icloud documents are also stored locally in ...
    ~/Library/Mobile Documents
Note that Library in the user's home folder is now hidden, so you'll have to set Finder to view hidden files.
The Mobile Documents folder has subfolder where copies of the doc/data files are stored.
You can move these files to another folder to save them.

how do I turn off icloud for my music in iphone?

What exactly do you mean here...there's really nothing to turn on/off. Your purchased music is simply available for download, directly on your device, if not already on your device. If you don't want to download it, then don't.

  • How do I turn off iCloud Drive?

I don't like the idea of all my docs in the cloud.  I want to stop the syncing and just keep the docs on my computer.  However, when I try to turn off iCloud Drive it tells me that I'm going to be deleting everything from my Mac!  How do I stop iCloud Drive but keep my files secure in my Mac?

The logic is that iCloud Drive is a hub for data shared among your devices, and the assumption is that if you delete something, you want it deleted. And practically, your file is treated as if the Drive copy is the only one. The Drive system may cache a copy on your device to allow easy, quick access, but the master copy is the one in the cloud. Delete the master copy and the cached copies have no "parent" and no way of maintaining any kind of sync.
It's similar to using a corporate network drive to get access to your files from anywhere. Delete a file without making a local copy and it's no longer accessible.

  • TS1702 How do you turn off iCloud on iPad?

I have a game that I purchased, that I need to reload from the vender. When I go to purchased games after deleting the game. It comes up as being on the iCloud and not vender site. How do I delete it from the iCloud so I can reload from the vender.  Forgot to mention the reason to reload. When typing in the game my iPad resets itself.

Deleting the account will only delete it from your iPad, not from iCloud.  If you want to delete the account and keep your data on your iPad, first go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPad.  (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your iPad.)  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Your data will remain on your phone.  If you ever want to re-use your iCloud, just go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in.

  • How do I turn off iCloud on my phone without deleting it altogether? Want to save space.

Just backed up all data and synced phone. I want to turn off iCloud just on my device to save space. Someone help me please?

    Hi KleeDanielle,
iCloud does not use the storage space on your iPhone.  You access the music, contacts, calendars, photos, etc. from the cloud using your device.

The resource below will explain how to see what data is being stored on your iPhone and how to free up space if you need it.

  • How can I turn off iCloud completely?

    Hello guys,
configuration: MacBook Pro with current Lion, iPad and iPhone both with iOS 4, NOT using iCloud.
I switched ON iCloud on my MacBook Pro to see what happens. Then I tried to switch it off again since I decided that I don't want the system to push everything I do on my computer up into the iCloud, congesting my network.
Now when I tried to turn off iCloud for my Documents and Data, it says that all data stored in the iCloud would be deleted from my Mac. ****, what's that? Will I now never again be able to detatch my computer from this iCloud thing without losing all my files?
    Please help!
    Many thanx in advance
    Keksi

An Apple guy explained to me that when I switch off iCloud for my documents, only those files would be removed from my mac, which I have explicitly UPloaded into the iCloud. Since I didn't upload any files, I could safely switch it off without losing any files.
It was more complicated switching off iCloud for iCal, because I had to convert manually all my calendars from 'iCloud calendar' to 'local calendar'. Because switching ON iCloud turns all local calendars automatically to iCloud calendars.
To do that, I had to export all my iCloud calendars to files, then delete the iCloud calendars, and then re-import the exported calendars. After that, they were again local calendars. To export an iCloud calendar, click on the "Calendar" button in iCal, then right-click on a calendar and choose "Export...", then type in a file name and click "Export".
I did that for all my calendars and so successfully switched off iCloud.
Now I just have many calendar entries two, three, four, or even five times duplicated in my calendar (which is not visible in iCal, but only on my iPhone and iPad)! I don't want to remove all those duplicates by hand (there are far too many), and will ask the apple support to help me.
    Best regards
    Keksi
