How do I turn off notifications from apple support off

For some reason I'm gettting swamped every day with replies to threads (most of which I've never posted to).  I've gone into Your Stuff/Notifications & Preferences and checked NO for all notifications and I still get these daily email updates.  How do I turn this feature OFF?

If you know the thread or community that is sending you the emails you can go directly to those and skip the rest of this however if you don't remember or are still getting email after going to the community read on.
Stopping email from ths site can be difficult, it is a multi step procedure.  See the link Stopping emails from ASC which Neil posted for all the details.

I also tried to view it on my iphone but nothing appeared. i was wondering if i could veiw this notification on my mac or through email?

I don't believe you can view it again, sorry for the inconvience.

  • Why do i still receive emails from apple support communities

i clicked on my profile wen into mail preferences and made all the options no and clicked save. and i still recieve email notifications from apple support communities.

The photo above shows what you have set for anything new you do.
You need to unset the options for items you are already subscribed to.
Go to Your Stuff > Modifications, tick everything then click Remove.

  • How do I turn off password protection for apps and keep them from downloading on all my apple devices

How do I turn off password protection for apps on my Iphone4 and keep them from loading on all other devices?

What do you mean by "password protection for apps"?
To keep apps from downloading on a device automatically, go to Settings> Store> and turn off the things you don't want downloaded automatically.

Where do you see the default birthday showing as Nov. 30? If you can explain that, I can probably modify the below script to do that clean up.
In response to the original problem:
I'm not sure why I missed the original reply, but here is an Applescript that will change all the years of any selected contacts to 1604 (default for no year).
    tell application "Contacts"
              set thePeople to selection
              repeat with aPerson in thePeople
set theDate to birth date of aPerson
if theDate is not missing value then
set the year of theDate to 1604
set birth date of aPerson to theDate
                        end if
              end repeat
    end tell
copy and paste it into a new Applescript Editor document. Select all the contacts you want to change (in Contacts), then run this script by clicking on the green Run button in Applescript Editor.

  • How can you turn off notifications for app store?

Each time I  go to a forum site, it tells me there is an app for Tapatalk for the site to chat with.  If I click on cancel, it continues to pop up each time I try to respond on the forum.  If I click on OK, it takes me to the app store to buy the app for Tapatalk, which I do not want.  How do I turn off this notification that keeps popping up?  I do not see anyway to do this in the settings.

I hate that too.   What you are seeing is a 'feature' of the forum's website.   They want you to down load their app.  It's not coming from apple, but the website.

How do I turn off "your recent download with your apple id" emails? Annoyingly often and they fill up my inbox.  Is there a way to unsubscribe from these?

It is in Settings>iTunes & App Stores to change automatic downloads. But it isn't your device that needs to be changed if you are the one that made the download. He needs to turn off the setting for automatic downloads on his phone. I'm guessing here, but you are all sharing the same Apple ID?

  • How do I turn off OS notifications in upper right corner

How do I turn off the little banner notifications for system updates, it's driving me insane, it pops out every five minutes. In Notifications in System Preferences there is nothing there for the OS, only various specific applications. Thank you.

If you want an "in-between" option to baltwo's excellent suggestion, go to the System Preferences > Notifications, click on each entry, and UNcheck everything, similar to mine here, after moving (dragging) every entry from the "IN" category to the "Not In" category:
This does not eliminate the menu icon; it just pretty much disables it, but you can drag an entry back in or leave one in just in case you want to be notified.

  • How do I turn off all of the notifications? They are so annoying.

How do I turn off all of the notifications on iPad mini? All of them at once. They are so annoying. And it's annoying to go to preferences and put off the notifications for every app. When I instal any app it asks me - do you want to recieve notifications? I say no, but almost every app does the notifications.
    P.S.
I wish to **** someone in apple for this annoying thing. Please tell me how to turn this annoying thing off.

    Settings>Notification Center>INCLUDE>Turn off everything

  • How can I turn off Keychain from asking for my password EVERY time I check for mail?

how can I turn off Keychain from asking for my password EVERY time I check for mail?
This is really driving me nuts.....
    Thanks

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, and then click General.
Open the General pane of Security & Privacy preferences
    2.     Select “Require password...NEVER after sleep or screen saver begins.”  You can adjust the amount of delay before a password is required in the pop-up menu.
From what I am aware, you cannot turn off the keychain.
    I hope this helps.

  • How can I turn off location tracking by Apple?

How can I turn off location tracking by Apple? Is is possible to roll the software back prior to Apple installing location tracking? I am very unhappy with this change by Apple. I know they probably included a reference to it in one of the user agreements, but this should have been clearly stated and offered a way to opt out. Anyway, any help on this would be appreciated.

Yeah, I do see your point. I personally feel perfectly safe using my iPhone wherever I go however I would consider that my usage is a lot less than the average user. I've had the phone for a year and have only made a total of 5 hours worth of calls and have only taken it out of my city one or twice. So for me I don't see any privacy concerns.
From reading the privacy statement though it seems that Apple are adamant that the collection of the geographical data etc is 99% personal information free. They use the term "non-personal information" and for that 1% where someone's personal information does somehow become mingled with their geographical location/movements etc Apple state that this information would be handled as though it was your credit card details or your social security number etc until such time as it's no longer combined.
"If we do combine non-personal information with personal information the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined."
But, I do agree with the fact that Apple really should have made us more aware of this. Instead we have found out through scientists and their research... that, coupled with the fact that no other smartphone collects this information hasn't helped either.
I will continue to use my iPhone as normal though... I am personally confident in Apple's commitment to privacy. I know not all share this view and that's fine. We all have our own perceptions of the implications of technology...
To answer your question about rolling back your software though that can be done. Might be a bit of a headache though and I'm not the best person to help with that. I'm sure there's some good information here though. Good luck!
