How do i turn off photo burst on my iPhone 5?

i doubt if the model or the IOS make much difference.
i know that i turned it on somehow, but i cannot find anything about it on the phone or in the user guide and it's making me slightly loopy right now.
can you please help me?

There is no option to turn of burst mode. It depends on how you touch the shutter button to take the photo:
From the User Guide:
Touch and hold the shutter button to take photos in burst mode. The counter shows how many shots you’ve taken, until you lift your finger. To see the suggested shots and select the photos you want to keep, tap the thumbnail, then tap “Favorites.” The gray dot(s) mark the suggested photos. To copy a photo from the burst as a separate photo in Camera Roll, tap the circle on the lower-right corner. To delete the burst of photos, tap it, then tap .
