  • HT4914 Can you use iTunes Match on multiple devices with different apple id's ?

I have multiple phones with the same iTunes ID but they have different apple ID , will the iTunes Match work with all my devices ?

I've got the latest version of iTunes & it's supposed to be able to be enabled under top panel "store" then appear down left side panel to subscribe. Which makes me think that it musn't be able to be used if you're running XP as it's not there....

  • How to properly set up iTunes Match on multiple devices

    Hi,
I've just purchased iTunes Match and I would like to set it up to all devices in my apartment. I've read that you can set it up up to 10 devices.
    My situation:
I have MacBook Pro, iPhone 4 and iPad with my Apple ID.
My wife has her MacBook Pro and iPhone 3GS with her Apple ID.
My Macbook is authorised with her account and her MacBook is athorised with my account, so we can copy music from each other.
We have almost the same music library, just with few differencies (I have more heavy music and she has bit more soft music).
I've purchased the iTunes Match on my MacBook. How could I turn the iTunes Match on her MacBook and iPhone?
Thanks a lot for any advice or link

  • How can I turn OFF iTunes Match on ALL devices?

I am in Australia and just paid AUD34.99 last night to buy iTunes Match and have had so much trouble with it since I want to turn it OFF on all devices.  Ideally I'd love a refund but understand that terms and conditions may limit this - though am really disappointed that it simply does not seem to work despite me following everything to set it up correctly.
In theory, it's a great service and I'm sure in the long run will be useful but for now until I could figure it out I wanted to just turn it OFF on both my iphone & Macbook pro - have done this in settings - music - turn off on iPhone...but still ON!  Also on Macbook, have turned off in store - turn off - and it's disappeared off my store options - BUT IS STILL ON in Itunes!
It's not only the hours of my time and frustration at trying to do simple things, for example had some friends around today and trying to just play music on my mac, and it kept skipping all over the place (i.e. would not finish a track, go to the next one, then skip through several on shuffle meaning a long gap between songs).  It also does not find a lot of music in my library that is definitely already in iTunes store, meaning that it is using my valuable upload limit for a lot of songs.
Overall, what the app promises and what it actually delivers in practice is very disappointing and frustrating.   I realise it's just recently launched so may still have some issues, but I don't want to pay for a service that doesn't work properly for me - and then not even be able to turn it off?  Can anyone help or have had similar experiences?  I've emailed Apple customer support but meanwhile wanted to try and get this sorted asap.

ok after another hour of playing around i might have half solved this...I turned match off via my account within the store which didn't seem to work properly, but then found another option to "turn off" via the store dropdown in the menu bar which does seem to have worked on my mac (but not yet on my iphone so still need to figure this out). Now I have turned it off on my mac it seems to offer me the option to buy it again - but as i've already paid for the year I don't know if there is the option to turn on again if I choose to later?

  • ITunes match on 1 device, with 2 apple ID's

My wife and I each have our own apple ID. We share the music library on 1 MacBook. I'm assuming we both need to pay the iTunes match fee for its usage, which I don't mind doing. However, are there any problems doing this? Any downsides to expect?

    Okay, last thing, then I'll stop bothering everyone . . . .
I logged out of iTunes and logged in as my wife, using her apple ID. Both of our apple ID's are authorized for this macbook, of course. Logged in as her, I noticed in the music library that the icloud logo had disappeared from next to it,and that none of the songs had any sort of cloud logos next to them (when i signed up for itunes match, i had sent half the songs to the cloud, resulting in a cloud logo next to those songs).
I then logged her out and logged myself back in to iTunes. I noticed the library still had no cloud logos....and thought maybe I had entered the realm of the 90-day iTunes match banishment. Anyway, I clicked on the iTunes match on the left side of the page, and it asked me if I wanted to begin iTunes match...sorta like it did the first time I began iTunes match a week ago. I responded that I did, and then had to enter my iTunes password. I'm thinking, "[bleep], I'm going to be charged again". But it didn't charge me. It began the same process of analyzing my library of songs, just as it did when originally signing up for iTunes match -- ONLY IT DID THIS PROCESS MUCH FASTER THAN THE ORIGINL TIME, taking only 10 seconds at he most. It then returned me to my music library, where everything was the way it was before--the cloud logos were back, just as before, next to the same songs as before.
Sounds like everything is good on my end, but that my wife can't participate with iTunes match on this same computer with her separate apple ID.

  • HT204406 I enabled iTunes Match on multiple devices. When I change certain playlists they update fine on the other devices, but i have a playlist on my macbook pro that cannot be seen on my other devices.  How do I correct this?

I just enabled iTunes Match on multiple devices in my house.  At first, almost all the playlists were duplicated.  I manually deleted the playlists back to one entry per playlist...a real pain.  I could see changes made on one device updating on the other devices for almost all my playlists...which told me things were working correctly.  But....There are a couple of playlists on my Macbook Pro that won't update to my other devices, like my desktop.  What gives?

You can sign in on multiple devices to use iTunes Match but it must be with the exact same Apple ID you used to purchase the service. You will need to sign out of the existing ID on the devcies and sign in with the new one.

  • ITunes match across multiple devices?

Is it possible to use iTunes match across multiple devices?  My wife and I use the same computer when at home and we have music stored on that computer. She had her own Apple id to use with her own iPhone, as do I.  We don't want to have multiple music libraries since we liste to most of the same music.  Is it possible to have iTunes match between 2 iPhones that are using different Apple id's but the same iTunes account?
    Thanks

When I try to go to iTunes music match on her phone it asks me to sign into match, which I am assuming is the same as her Apple ID name and password.  This is a different name and password than my account.  So, it seems that she cannot access my "cloud" from her phone in order to download music that I have purchased.  I guess since she has her own iClud account, she needs to sign up for iTunes match through that account and pay the fee.  I was hoping we could access the same 'Cloud" to have the same library of music? Hope that made sense.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Can i share iTunes music between my kids with different apple id's?

Can i share iTunes music between my kids with different apple id's?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes, even though they have their own IDs for the iTunes Store, if everyone uses the same ID for home sharing, you can share the content.

Move the iPhoto library from the Pictures item of the Finder's sidebar on the MacBook Pro to the same location on the iMac via FireWire Target Disk mode, or a drive, partition, or disk image formatted as Mac OS Extended, or through AFP file sharing over a network.

  • How can I turn off itunes match on my phone without losing all my playlists?

I have itunes match but want to keep all my music on my iPhone because I travel and don't always have access to the internet.  I upgrades to ios8 and now it seems if I turn off iTunes Match in my phone it get rid of all my playlists.  How can I stop that from happening.  I want my music, and playlist on my phone.

To keep playlists on the phone, create them on the phone
To keep music on the phone, download the tracks before turning off Match.
But turning off Match isn't really necessary. Just turn off Show all music in the music app settings, or do not attempt to play a track that has a cloud icon (i.E. isn't downloaded).

  • HT204406 How can I turn off iTunes match on my mac

I want to disable iTunes Match on my Macbook Pro?   How do I do that?
The main reason is bc I just want to sync all of  my music to my iPad and not have to download it from the cloud one song at a time on my iPad.

At the top menu select "Store"
Scroll down to "Turn off iTunes Match" (I've already turned mine off so it shows " Turn on iTunes Match") If your's is on, it will say, "Turn off iTunes Match"

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that you want to turn off iTunes Match on your Apple computer. You can turn if off under Store in the Menu Bar. Open the latest version of iTunes.
    Choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password and click Sign In.
Choose Store > View My Account. You may be asked to re-enter your Apple ID password.
