On my ipod classic--how do I turn shuffle off so I can listen to audiobook???

Settings/Shuffle and press the Select (centre) button until it says "off". It cycles through Off, Songs, Albums.
Alternatively, on the Now Playing screen, press the Select button until the display shows the Shuffle option and use the wheel to scroll to "off".

I do not see a way to disable the Picture Frame icon. I looked at Settings-Picture Frame, but none of the options turns it off. The only way I can thinik of, would be if all of your photos had been deleted. If there were no photos, you couldn't have a slide show!
One thing to try is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

Since loading firefox 4 2 stage verification is required each time I open gmail. How do I turn this off?

Since upgrading to Firefox 4, each time I try to open my gmail account, the sign-in page presents me with an encrypted word (usually which I cannot read) to fill in in addition to my password.

This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

I recently synched my iPod to my laptop so I could arrange my workout playlist, and iTunes has arranged the playlist alphabetically rather than the arrangement I wanted. I know that this is probably a really obvious question, but how do I turn it off so I can see the playlist as I have arranged it.

If you select "Show my home page", then also check the contents of "Home page" (same settings tab as above). If it contains multiple URLs, all those URLs will be opened each time.
This drove me nuts for a while, as I had bookmarked all open tabs and used them as my "Home page", so kept getting an old news story on the news website I was using.

Cannot Turn Shuffle Off

I have an IPOD Nano that always shuffles albums when individual albums are played. The setting in the top right corner of the display does show to mix, however, I cannot figure out how to turn this off. I would like the tracks to play in order on the album. The Shuffle menu item on the main menu shows Shuffle Songs but does not offer a choice to turn shuffle off. Could this be a setting in Itunes?

Just figured it out.
Main Menu has Shuffle Songs Which means Shuffle All and Play Now
Settings Menu has the Shuffle with the 3 choices.
You get the points for this one. I was going back through it to try to explain to you how there was not a choice when selecting the shuffle option when it hit me I was in the wrong place on hers.
Needless to say she turned shuffle albums on inadvertently. And although I've owned Ipods for several years I never shuffle so finding the setting "which is not rocket science" was difficult for me. I lose points

Can't turn shuffle off

I recently downloaded iTunes 8. For some reason I can't turn the shuffle feature off. I select Controls, Shuffle, Turn Shuffle Off and nothing happens. It stays selected. How do I turn this off?
BTW, iTunes 8 is NOT an improvement over vs. 7. 7 was much better. I don't know why companies like this have to goof around with things that already work and change them just for the purpose of making them different.

iTunes was updated to work with the new generation of iPods that came out a few months ago. If you don't have one of those, there is no need on your part and no insistence on Apple's part that you update the software.
