iCloud is probably being used to store your Contacts so perhaps you really just want to turn off iCloud backups. Use the Settings app.

Go under View>Show and uncheck Pixel Grid.

Simply tap or slide up on the camera icon at the bottom right corner of the screen to turn it off. It’s a much faster way to turn it off. Since iPhone’s Camera needs to accesses LED flash, it automatically turns off the flashlight feature. Even when the iPhone is unlocked, I find it easier to press the Sleep/Wake button and tap on the camera icon to turn it off.

Actually, the top button sleeps and wakes the phone. Hold the top button until a red slider appears of the screen, the slide to power off completely.

When I turn on my Ipad2 it won't scroll in any direction and there is a voice explaining everything you do. How do get it to scroll again and turn off the voice. I have tried to reset it both ways and when I go to settings > general I don't see a reset button.

How do you turn the music off in the pull up window at the bottom of the iPad?
Ever since the latest update there is no volume unless I plug in earbuds. I figured out that if music was on it would over ride you tube or any other venue I wanted to watch...so I know to shut off everything if I want to hear random items. BUT in the pull up window for quick adjustments at the bottom of the iPad I see my music is always on! How do I turn it off? How do I delete songs, artists I don't want?
The problem is : that because this is always on my external speaker will not emit sound. The music over rides EVERYTHING. Is there no way of turning all music off? This is a major problem for me. If I want to share a video of a grandchild with someone there is NO volume without earbuds. I've reset ALL settings (suggestion from Apple) it worked till I plugged my earbuds in the first time after the reset.
I know how to double click on the home button to bring up all open apps and swipe up to close them BUT it doesn't close them from the quick adjustment window at the bottom pull up window. It shows music still playing.
This all started with the latest update! I think it's a glitch in the system. -
How do I turn the Updater off?
I just purchased Adobe's CS5.5 Design Premium (Student and Teacher Edition) for Mac. Upon installing Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, an icon for Adobe's updater appeared in the Menu Bar just to the left of the Bluetooth and volumne icons.
This appears to indicate that the updater runs a check every so often in the background. I don't mind Adobe checking on the veracity of my programs (i.e. that it's a legal copy for which I paid), but my system noticeably slows down when it it running.
Two things I would like to resolve:
1 - How do I keep the updater from running in the background?
2 - Can I remove the Icon from the Menu Bar? (Admittedly not as important as #1, but I just don't like the look of it.)

Processor: 2.26 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

I finally found the automatic update switch and turned it OFF!
Damn menus have changed in the 'NEW' FireFox; some better others worse. But as with the 'NEW' Micro$oft products changing the menu so you can no longer use the APP seems to be the 'NEW'!
