How do I UN-download music I downloaded from iCloud?
I downloaded way more music from iCloud onto my iPhone 4S than I planned to. How to put that stuff back into iCloud so it's not sucking up space on my iPhone without screwing things up either on my iPhone or my MacBook Pro? I'd hate to get rid of something in iPhone and then lose it on my MacBook Pro.
Hi,
Each track should have a download icon. If no icon is shown, this suggest that your library is still pointing to the original track. If you try to play a track do you see " ! " against the track. If so, you have two options:
1. Select track and right click then delete - do not tick delete from cloud. Download icon now shown.
2. Create new library, point to location you wish to download then turn on match. You will see all music you have in match.
By the way, it would be easier and quicker to restore your music from your back up.

Need to truly download music (not stream) from iCloud
So from everything I have observed since updating to ios6, and I have read, you can stream your songs from iCloud to your ios6 device, and they then appear to be "downloaded" from that point, but if I want to truly download an album or artist, say before I go on a trip where there is no cell service, the only way I can see to do that is to do the "old fashion" way of hooking up to a computer with my library and manually copying the music. Anything I'm missing? I sure like the convenience of not having to march up to the office to load up music before hitting the road... Is this yet another example of Apple taking away a feature without thinking of the implications of the users?
You aren't missing anything
Want to load specific tracks and albums do so via ITunes.
However if you are out and about and have a desire to listen to a track you forgot to load well you can stream via iCloud provided you have stable 3G/LTE or can get to a Wifi Hot spot.
When you have played the track it remains on your IDevice.
What does mean is that you save wasting storage capacity on your iDevice. -

HT5824 How do I delete data, music or apps from iCloud which are no longer needed?
I would like to delete data, music and apps which have been uninstalled or deleted from iPad, but still remain available on iCloud. Could anyone help or advise? Thanks very much.
From an ipad you can't see the files in icloud's documents folder unless you use the specific app associated with a given file, like Pages. Can you describe what you are doing on the ipad? What app are you using?

In my iPad, I have downloaded music in Downloader & Private Browser, now how can I transfer this music to iTunes?
You do not.
Download the media on a computer and import it to iTunes. -
Help please? I dont understand how to get my purchased music to download or sync to my HP computer.
Hey CrystalKean,
Thanks for the question. If you have purchased content on your iPhone that has not yet been transferred to your computer, see the following article:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
Alternatively, you can download previous purchases from the iTunes Store with the steps outlined in this article:

I'm getting this error message: "User not registered for online use" when i'm trying to download music/ track names from a CD into ITunes on my Windows 8 PC. I'm registered and my itunes account/ appleID are all correct and working.
The ""not recognized for on-line use". error is associated with the Gracenote service that iTunes uses to look up and retrieve metadata for CDs. Some users have reported that this error occurs when trying to import from CD, subsequent to upgrading to version 12. A number of slightly different solutions have been reported (though all of a similar nature).
Try walking through the following steps - before starting you may have to enable hidden files and folders to be viewed - in Windows 7 / Windows Explorer select Organize > Folder and search options, then on the View tab make sure that Show hidden files, folders and drives is selected. Without this you won't see the AppData folder in C:\Users\username\
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this doesn't work:
In iTunes, select Edit > Preferences and make a note (or take a screenshot) of your preferences settings in all relevant tabs
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following file:iTunesPrefs.xml
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this second procedure does work, you'll need to restore other iTunes preferences settings to those that you noted in step 1.
If this one didn't work:
Exit iTunes
Check the following folders:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes
C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete any copies of the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
iTunesPrefs.xml
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
Again, if this procedure does work, you'll need to restore other iTunes preferences settings to those that you noted in step 1 of the second procedure. If you're still not able to retrieve CD info:
Exit iTunes
In Windows, select Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features. Find the entry for iTunes, right-click and select Repair.
When this process has finished, restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If none of these have worked (and almost everything I've seen suggests you should be OK by this point), you may have an issue with the installation and configuration of iTunes itself. If you have got this far, see turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for advice on how to remove and replace of all components of iTunes. -
How do I download all my songs from iCloud without having to click on each one?
I have two computers and I would like to have my iTunes library on both. How do I download all my songs from iCloud without having to click on each one?
Create a smart playlist with the criteria being location - not on this computer. Then select all, right click and download.

Does downloading music and films from iTunes use up data?
My broadband internet data plan at home is not unlimited. I have an allowance of 20GB a month. When downloading music and films from iTunes on my PC, will it eat up internet data? It is important that I keep within the limits of my data plan as I am short of money.
Yes. All your Internet traffic is using up that allowance. Each file you download will use up its own size, plus some handshaking data, and the traffic caused by browsing the store to look for it in the first place.

How to download photo and songs from iCloud to laptop (windows 7)
Hi,
how do I download photos and songs from icloud to Windows 7.I opend control panel and checked box regards photos then I gave apply but I didn't see any photos in my icloud photos location which is present in my laptop. There's a long discussion on photo stream issues with PCs here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5356710?start=180&tstart=0 you can look through. Various solutions are offered that work for some people. Perhaps you'll find one that works for you.
Also, photo stream photos do not use your iCloud storage at all, so deleting them will not reduce you storage. If you need to reduce your iCloud storage, there are some suggestion for how to do this here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847. -

Can I download my iTunes library (from iCloud) in it's entirety if I have a hard drive crash?
You can download the music from iCloud using the download arrows besides the songs - see the iTunes help:
Play or download songs from iCloud
You can play songs directly from iCloud, or you can download songs so you can play them when you’re not connected to the Internet.
If a song is available in iCloud, it has a Download button next to it.
To play the song, double-click it.
To download the song, click the Download button.
After you download a song to a computer, it remains in the computer’s iTunes library, even if you turn off iTunes Match.
To only display downloaded songs in your iTunes library, choose View > Hide Music in the Cloud. This also hides anyprevious iTunes Store purchases you haven’t downloaded.
