How Do I Unauthorize Computers I Don't Own or Have Access to?

I just authorized iTunes on my spankin new pro mac tower (yay) and got a message that I've authorized 5 out of 5 possible. So I'm at some sort of limit, but I only have three computers. I don't know what the other two are. How do I undo two of them, or delete all authorizations on my account and then re-authorize the computers I do have access to?
Thanks!

If you've reached five authorizations for that account, there will be a button in your iTunes Store account information that will allow you to deauthorize all systems associated with that account. Log into your iTunes Store account and you should see it. You can then reauthorize the computers you're using now.

  • How do you sync iTouch to iTunes if you don't own or have access to a computer?

For some time now, my iTouch 4 iOS 4.3.2 (or whatever the latest iOS Apple still provided for this particular device), 59.1 GB, with wi-fi, no cellular, has displayed a screen message indicating there is no room to complete download of song(s) or to complete one or more App updates because "storage" is full. Most of the time, downloads and updates run fine. I know the iTouch capacity is practically full, so I've deleted Apps, large photo files, etc. etc. to free up space on it, then all goes fine until the next time that message appears following updating Apps or whatever. But there is plenty of "storage" still available with my iCloud subscription, so I've been ignoring these messages, assuming the message had more to do with the iTouch's dwindling free space and not lack of iCloud space. But, for the first time last night while listening to music stored on the iTouch by docking it to a Bose Wave radio (btw, something I've done without problems for a long time) the iTouch stopped playing on it's own while in the dock, first displaying a black or blank screen as if it was turned off but then displayed a screen image (new to me) of the end of USB cable that would plug into a PC port with an arrow pointing to the iTunes icon. No matter what I've tried, this image returns then stays on at least while the iTouch is docked. I have been doing daily backups to iCloud for this and my newest version of the iPad. My computer died several months ago, so until I buy a new one, I've not had any means to do a PC iTunes sync or PC iTunes backup for the iTouch. My last iTouch back-up was in April and I believe I checked the iTunes boxes to sync/back-up to iCloud rather than to the PC, if memory serves me right.  Up until now, not having iTunes on a home PC hasn't been a problem, so I never gave thought that Apple would require one to have a PC or MAC if one wanted to own and maintain an iTouch, iPhone, iPad, whatever. I realize the iTouch is getting old, but has been working fine up until now. Does anyone have any ideas other than buying a new PC or MAC to install iTunes on?

Means the iPod encountered and error and you have to connect the iPod to a computer with iTunes and an internet connection and restore via iTunes.
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Also say you have iCloud but that requires iOS 5 or later except with your iOS verions (4.3.2) you can redownload iTunes purchases on the iPod.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • How can I deauthorize computers that I no longer own or have access to?

I need to deauthorize computers that I no longer own or have access to. How can I do this?
    Thanks

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.

  • How can all the users in my computer (my kids) have access to all the photos I have in I Photo?

How can all the users in my computer (my kids) have access to all the photos I have in I Photo? My photos only appear when I (the administrator) log into the computer. I want my kids to be able to access them also.

For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
    What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.

  • HT1420 How can I find out what computers I have authorised? Or how can I deauthorise a computer if i no longer have access to it?

    Hi,
I have 4 authorised computers for my iPhone but I have no idea what 2 of them are. Is there a way I can see what the computers authorised are? Or can I deauthorise computers that I no longer have access to?

I'm not aware of anyway to see a list of your authorised computers. Have you had other computers in the past and/or updated or reinstalled the OS on those that you still have without first deauthorising them ?  Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but when you've reached the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

  • How can u de-authorise a computer u no longer have access to? if u have already used de-activate all in the last 12 months?

really once every 12 months is a bit silly, it should be unlimited..

    Hello tct2125,
In order to deauthorize a machine that you don't have access to (once you've reached the limit), you'll need to deauthorize all computers associated with your account.
To deauthorize all computers associated with your Apple ID
If you need to authorize your new computer and are unable due to already having five authorized computers, you can deauthorize all computers by doing the following:
Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
Click the Account button again (your Apple ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.

  • How do i deauthorize a computer that i no longer have access to?

i recently got a new laptop....i tried to purchase new music from the music store, but it is stating i need to deauthorize my old computers in order to authorize this one. i no longer have access to those old computers, so how do i do this?
    thanks

If you find you have reached 5 authorizations due to system upgrades, you can reset your authorization count by clicking Deauthorize All in the Account Information screen. Note: You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than 5 authorized computers or if you have used this option within the last 12 months.
in itunes 7 you can access your account by going into the music store and clicking the account link on the right hand side of the music store then sign in using your account details

  • HT1349 I have replaced the hard-drive and updated the operating system of my laptop computer.  How do I deauthorize computers I don't have anymore?

I received an error message from iTunes store regarding my recent app purchase.  I already have 5 authorized computers so I can't sync the purchased app from my current computer.
My problem is, within four months I replaced the operating systems to my desktop and laptop.  As for the other 3 authorized computers are long gone (when I didn't understand I had to deauthorize computers).
Can someone help me with this problem?  I can't get internet at my home so I have to go to the local library or coffee house and get wifi, so I need to access my itunes from my laptop.  How can I reset these accounts so I can keep the two I need?

  • HT5622 How many family members, computers, iPods,iPad,IDs can you have on one iTunes account?

I'm just trying to sort out some iTunes I'd issues.  Does anyone know how many total iPad iPods can be used with one Apple ID?  Or how many apple  IDs your can have with one iTunes account? Or does each person need there own Apple ID or Apple account? Thanks

You can't have multiple IDs on one account, but you can use multiple IDs for different purposes on the same device.
Just use the one AppleID for iTunes and the AppStore so you can all share your music and app purchases. Then each person should have their own individual AppleID with associated iCloud account for mail, contacts, calendars, iMessage and FaceTime.
You don't have to use the same AppleID for all services.
