How do I unblock a website?

I tried going on a website on my laptop but instead it went to a page saying: "Access to the web page you were trying to visit has been blocked in accordance with company policy. Please contact your system administrator if you believe this is in error." I don't understand why it would do this all of a sudden. I was on the website earlier in the day and it worked fine. Also, I'm the system administrator and I didn't change any of the settings on my computer or block them. I'm really confused and don't know how to unblock them

Look like the blocking is coming from the server. The server might be having problems. Do as the warning page says,"Please contact your system administrator if you believe this is in error."

How can I unblock a website blocked by Firefox?

When I try to click on a link to www.bookbub.com/ in Google Reader and feedly, I get the following message:
"Firefox prevented this site from opening 1 popup window", with an option box to either:
option 1 - "Block popups from google.com" (or feedly.com) - I want the opposite of this!
option 2 - "Edit popup blocker options"
option 3 - "Show www.bookbub.com/deals"
If I click on option 3 ("Show www.bookbub.com/deals"), this website is still being blocked.
If I choose option 2 (allow popups from google and feedly), this website is still being blocked.
So, in Firefox Options settings, the popup blocker box is now unticked - popups are unblocked - but this website is still being blocked.
This is the only site which is blocked. All links to other websites open correctly from Google Reader and/or Google Search. To bypass this unwanted block and access the website, I have to type the url in the address bar.
I would much prefer to simply open it as I do with all other websites from Google reader or feedly, with a simple click on a link.

Same problem when clicking on a link to this website from Google Search (website blocked by Firefox), yet no such problem when clicking the link within *this* post... ?!
No problem whatsoever opening the website from any link in Chrome.

After several checks, the website appears to be blocked by Adblock Plus and/or Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon.
The message was clearly marked "*Firefox* prevented this popup" and I never even thought of looking elsewhere.
I will trawl through the filters to find the blocking rule.

I believed that if I blocked the .mex addresses, I would be able to access the U.S. version as I regularly do and the normal websites would not be hijacked again. The websites I tried to block were homedepot.mx.com and lowes.mx.com. I am in the US so I have no idea why the .mx started coming up in the address. After this happened continually, I decided the only way to remedy it was to block both websites with .mx in the address using Tools. I had to do this last year for another website that suddenly began accessing the website in Australia and after blocking it I was able to get to the regular website. I use these websites often to order items for renovations. This is driving me crazy. Please help.

If you select that right-click context menu entry then you block all images from that domain and not one specific image, so do not use that.
* Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions (e.g. sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net)
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.

Just to be clear, when you go to the bank website, it loads a page of the bank website and that page says your account has a block on it?
If that is the case, call the bank's customer support.
If you failed to log in (wrong username/password) too many times, it may have been locked because of that. This is done to try to prevent people from guessing your password and logging in as you illegally.

It sounds like you have a security issue there. The agilent instrument driver that you are using requires access to some files that are restricted to Administrators on that machine. What you need to do is to give everyone full access to the instruments' driver directory. For example, if you are using LabVIEW, this will be in /labview/instr.lib. You will have to right click on the directory if you are in the Windows environment, choose properties and in the security tab, give Every One full access to the directory.
