  • I am trying to change a saved password that firefox remembered for my ebay login, but I have a new password now. How do I do this?

firefox saved an old password for logging into my ebay account and i want to make it remember a new one so that every time I login to ebay I don't have to erase the one it keeps remembering and put in the new one. How do I change old passwords that firefox has stored and put in the correct ones?

*Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
*Highlight an entry in the drop down list
*Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
    See:
You can also remove a saved password here:
    * Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

  • How do I enter a saved password on the log-in page

I am at the log-in page but I don't know how to get Firefox to enter the password - the password has be saved and is in the list of saved passwords - I am flabbergasted that this isn't easily visible and doesn't show up anywhere on help

I use WEP at home and it requires a hexadecimal password (key).
    - A 64-bit WEP key is usually entered as a string of 10 hexadecimal (base 16) characters (0-9 and A-F)
    - A 128-bit WEP key is usually entered as a string of 26 hexadecimal characters. 26 digits of four bits each gives 104 bits; adding the 24-bit IV produces the complete 128-bit WEP key. Most devices also allow the user to enter it as 13 ASCII characters.
I use the 64 bit since I have a legacy device that only works with that.

  • How to find all your saved password data on iMac?

I once saw all my saved password information on my computer somewhere in system preferences or keychain access. How do I view them again. Please help, I forgot my password to my email account which is saved on computer but i need the actual password for when i log into another computer trying to check my email.

I went to Safari, Preferences clicked on Passwords (icon KEY) and found the list websites and passwords, hidden by asteriks, that are saved by the system. Highlight the website you want the password for and check box below Show passwords for selected websites. It will ask for your computer's main password. This worked like a charm.

  • HOW DO I MANUALLY ENTER 'USER I.D.' AND 'PASSWORD' INTO "SAVED PASSWORDS" WHEN FIREFOX CANNOT 'SAVE' THEM? THANK YOU!

(EXCUSE MY ALL CAPS - VISION PROBLEM)
PASSWORD CAPTURE IS A GREAT FEATURE! BUT - ON SOME FEW SITES, FIREFOX CANNOT CAPTURE USER I.D. AND PASSWORD - SO - HOW CAN I MANUALLY ENTER THIS INFO INTO 'SAVED PASSWORD' UNDER TOOLS/OPTIONS?
    THANK YOU: JNR

Be aware that if Firefox doesn't offer to store a password then Firefox probably won't fill the password as well if you visit that website and sign on.<br />
In that case you can try to type the first letter of the name and/or double click the name field or press the cursor Down arrow.
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
*You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
*To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
    * Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.<br />
If that is the case then you can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

  • How to delete saved password from Firefox mobile

I saved an incorrect email address

    Hello,
Firefox for Android doesn't have the option to edit saved passwords individually. You may try this addon that should do the job.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/android/addon/mobile-password-manager/
    Hope that helps.

  • How do I undelete my saved passwords?

I just by mistake deleted all my saved passwords. Anyway to restore them. Using FireFox 34.0.5. Please help

Those files are not on the <b>about:config</b> page, but in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
You can find preferences on the <b>about:config</b> page.
When you reset the signon.importedFromSqlite then this pref is removed and when Firefox doesn't find this pref when you start Firefox and there is no logins.json file as well then Firefox can build a new logins.json file by importing passwords from a possible signons.sqlite file.

  • How do I save a new password if it doesn't ask me if i want to save it?!

There was a password saved on a site. The site made me change the password. Firefox never asked me if i wanted to change it, i deleted it as i didn't know how to change it. Now it is not asking me if i want to save the new password... ?!

I have a similar problem which is not answered in the above link:
I had to change my remembered username/password on a site.
I used password manager to delete the old info. Now I do not know how to make it remember the new info. New username is there when I start typing it, but it does not give me the option to remember it, nor does it remember the password.

  • Saved passwords in Firefox

A recent upgrade of firefox  caused all the saved password to disappear. . Is any one has similar issue?

  • How do I remove a "saved" password for a website on Firefox browser?

I always have to ignore the option to save passwords but now see that I must have clicked the wrong thing in error and it has saved a password I do not want saved for security and privacy reasons. How do I go about removing this "remembered password"...? Thank you. Wish I could turn the annoying feature off altogether as well.... Grrrr!!

Open the "Settings" windows (I have a German Version, and here it's under Extras (Probably "options" in English-->Settings).
Open the Tab "Security" and you'll find a button to have a list of all passwords you saved. Just mark the one you wish to delete and press the "delete" key

  • How do I delete a saved password?

I saved a password for a website and when I tried to change it I found I could not change the password.

    Hi msbonbon1,
You do not mention what version of the Mac operating system you are using or what web browser you have, but to delete passwords from Safari use the process described in this article -
Safari 7 (Mavericks): Automatically fill in passwords, credit cards, and more
    Specifically -
Choose Safari > Preferences, then click AutoFill.
Delete the stored user name and password for one or more websites.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Brett L

  • How do I delete a saved username in Firefox?

When I use multiple usernames for the same website, Firefox remembers the usernames. In Firefox for Windows, I could delete these saved usernames by highlighting the username I wanted to delete (arrow down) and hitting the delete button. This does not work on my Mac. How do I delete usernames I don't want saved?

Ahhh, "shift delete"! Thanks! I knew there would be s simple answer; I just couldn't find it.
