How do I undo all of the recent bull crap built into firefox?

I've loved firefox since I first installed it back in 2.x days. I've LOATHED the versioning system since 5 or 6. NOW, when I open a new tab, I have a bunch of crap that I don't want being displayed. I'm sick and tired of firefox trying to emulate chrome. If i wanted chrome, I would install it.
At this point, I'm ready to drop firefox all together and try out some crap independent browser.
How on earth do I disable all the nonsense and go back to a real browser?

there's an icon in the top-right corner that allows you to switch off the new thumbnail view.
alternatively you can set the browser.newtab.url preference in about config to "about:blank"

How can i get all of the new music I loaded into iTunes onto my iPod without deleting the content that is already on it?

I just loaded a bunch of music from my CD library into iTunes in the hopes of loading it onto my iPod. The problem is now I can't figure out how to do it. Two issues... First it says that if I synch it will delete what is already on my iPod which I absolutely do not want. Second, is there a way to load each of the albums without having to create a play list?
Ugh... Always a frustrating experience trying to deal with iTunes.

You can only sync your device to one iTunes library at a time. You can either copy the music from the library on your other computer to the one you have loaded the new CDs onto, or you can purchase an external CD Drive and load them to the iTunes library you are currently sync'd with:

For syncing, I am not familiar with the drag and drop method. I have always used the normal sync process:
iTunes 12 for Mac: Sync iPod, iPhone, or iPad

How do I put all of the music by one artist into the same "folder"?

When I put music onto my iPhone 4, it often shows up that the same artist will have many different entries in the phone's version of iTunes. E.g. Bob Dylan might have six different entries, with different albums (sometimes more than one) in each. This makes it difficult to put it on shuffle or just sort of listen to one artist all day without constantly fiddling with the phone.
Is there a way to combine all of these separate headers and make them all fit in one "folder" (for lack of a better term)?

Thanks! I discovered that my disconnect was that I was doing all of that, but AFTER I had already moved the untagged files onto my phone, which was set to manually synch music. I was trying to tag them on my pc and expecting the phone to catch that. Duh, of course it won't see changes made on the pc if it's set to manual! I went in and did it on the phone and it worked fine.

How do I remove all of the contacts that Facebook put into my Contacts? iPhone 5

I have a million contacts now, including duplicates of people who were already there. It's a giant mess. I went to Settings > Facebook > (Toggle "Contacts" to Off) and then did Update All Contacts, but they're still there. In addition to not being able to mass delete contacts, this is giving me a major headache. Did anybody solve a similar problem?

you can only do all with itunes.
On the phone itself you can only delete one at a time.
Go to the contact, choose edit, scroll down, at the bottom is a delete option.

I imported my email however out of all the folders in my inbox only a fraction of them ported into mozilla, how do I get all of the folders to port over?

How do I clear all of the java applets that have been downloaded?

I migrated firefox and other applications to my new mac so that I would not to reenter all of my passwords saved by firefox. However, it appears that the java applets were also transfered and one of these applets does not work with the new intel mac. I was able to get the same applet to work in safari, and I was able to delete the applet from safari as well, but was unable to do so in firefox.
So, how do I clear all of the previously downloaded applets, or even better, just the one I want to? Clearing all of the recent history didn't work.

my ipod picks and chooses when i connect whether its going to update or not,
In Auto, it updates every time you connect it.
If you do not change anything it iTunes, the update will take only a second because there was nothing changed to update.

If you had stored your catalog files on an external drive, then all you have to do is double-click on them to open them and use them.
Or you could move them to the internal drive and double-click on them once the move is completed.
To create a single catalog file from multiple ones, you could use File->Import from Another Catalog

A couple of methods.
The first is to copy 2 files, key3,db and signons.sqlite from the profile folder of the old computer t the profile folder of the new computer. For details of how to find the profile folder see the [[profiles]] article.
The second method is to install the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2848/ Password Exporter] add-on on both computers and use that to export/import the passwords.
