How do I uninstall adobe reader 11

How do I uninstall adobe reader 11? I am running OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks. I have not configured it completely. When it ask if I wanted the reader to be the
default instead of preview I said no and have tried to find  a way to uninstall it. Also what do I use when a file I am trying to open on a web site says it requires
adobe reader if I don't use adobe reader?

My Mavericks was loaded at the Genius Bar as I was unable to load it successfully even with telephone support help.  Can anyone tell me how to get to the Mavericks configuration referenced in several of the e-mails?
Also I have spend much time with Support trying to get my Adobe Reader to work, and I have NOT been told that it simply incompatible with Mavericks.  VBerg

  • How do I uninstall adobe reader from my iPad 4?

I can only preview first page of documents on a website that says I should be able to open them in adobe reader. how can I fix this? Do I need to uninstall adobe reader and reinstall? How is that done on an iPad? I did update the reader, turn off iPad and restart. Made no difference. Thanks.

I suspect that the particular type of your documents may not be supported by the Reader mobile products.  (However, you should be able to open them in the desktop version of Reader on your Windows/Mac computer.)
Do you see an error message?  Could you provide a screenshot and add it to your next reply?

  • How do i uninstall Adobe reader XI

I downloaded Adobe reader XI today and it messed up my Adobe Acrobat X.  I want to uninstall Adobe reader XI but it won't let me. How do I uninstall it.  I have Windows 7 home premium.

I am not sure if different versions of Reader and Acrobat are supported in Windows, but you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Acrobat and Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
After that, you'll have to reinstall Acrobat. If you wish, then you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.
Naive question: do you really need to have both? Second naive question: if you do, would Reader X (same number version than your Acrobat) do?

I tried already all ways that i found in the internet to uninstall adobe from my mac (through Library and with a downloaded uninstaller) still the pdfs open with adobe, what's wrong?

    1. Adobe Reader is in the Applications folder. You can trash it from there.
    2. If you want a pdf to be opened by a different App, you can set that using a .pdf file. Control click on a .pdf and then click Open With. Next identify the App in the list that appears that you want to use. If you do not see what you want in the drop down list, select Other and navigate to the App.

You may need to run the cleaner tool multiple times.
What do you mean "is not removed"; do you get any error messages?

  • How can I uninstall adobe media encoder cc at macbook (Mavericks)?

How do I uninstall adobe media encoder cc on macbook (Mavericks)? I have installed two versions (AME AME CC and CC 2014), AME CC 2014 has unistall file, but the application AME CC has unistall file or i can not find it. The situation is similar in the application ADOBE EDGE CODE CC and ADOBE EDGE CC Reflow CC.

Because I have installed two versions, CC and CC (2014) I have a small ssd drive, I want to uninstall unnecessary applications and replace them with new ones from the 2014 edition. I have a problem with applications: Media encoder CC, EDGE CODE CC, Rreflow CC, Lightroom 5, these applications just do not have the files "uninstall". CC Photoshop, Illustrator CC,  InDesign CC, Media Encoder CC (2014) - with these applications I do not have a problem, I can uninstall these applications because have files "uninstall".

  • How do I get Adobe Reader XI to default to Auto Portrait/landscape when I print?

How do I get Adobe Reader XI to default to Auto Portrait/landscape when I print?

I too am looking into this issue for someone at my work and hoping someone can provide a resolution for this nuisance.
It is correct that that Auto Portrait/Landscape is usually set to default for Adobe Reader XI. One day, Portrait was randomly switched as the default setting. Granted the setting could be set back to Auto on a per file basis, this slowed down the time to mass print several landscape reports.  The problem only occurred under one Windows account profile while other user accounts defaulted to Auto as expected. Uninstalling the software, clearing out all Adobe traces from Programs/Program Data/Application Data/Registry, and reinstalling the software did not make any difference. All printer preferences/configurations were the same amongst the different user accounts.
While it would sound like rebuilding that one person's profile would be the final solution, it wouldn't be ideal to reconfigure the several remote connections with banks and hospitals (we're an anesthesia billing company) on a new profile for what might be a simple, yet elusive fix to this print setting. I have noticed other posts on other sites mention this issue, but no resolutions have been provided yet. I'm sure part of what makes this difficult to resolve is the inability to replicate this issue elsewhere.

  • How do I stop Adobe Reader from crashing on my unprivileged user?

I am running Windows 7 and I needed to create an unprivileged user on my computer. When I open a PDF file, it almost instantly crashes (I can view the document for about three seconds). If I simply open Adobe Reader without a PDF and click Edit -> Preferences, it crashes. If I open a PDF in any browser, it crashes.
From what I have been able to surmise, it seems that Adobe Reader is trying to read the registry of my privileged user. I have tried uninstalling Adobe Reader, temporarily giving privileges to my unprivileged user, installing Adobe Reader on that user, and then remove the permissions, but the crash still occurs. The only way to stop Adobe Reader from crashing is to start the program as an administrator or change the account type to administrator. How do I stop Adobe Reader from crashing on my unprivileged user?

It said "Adobe Reader has stopped working" soon after I opened it, but I was still able to scroll down the document. It was only once I pressed Close Program that it stopped working.
Upon trying it a second time, it immediately stopped letting me scroll down when the program crashed. Here is the error log, I receive the exact same exception code every time:

  • How do I uninstall Adobe 9.3.3 from my Macbook Pro?

I downloaded an Adobe Reader update yesterday and since then my Pdf files are taking 10 minutes to print! I have never had this problem before. I have a HP Laserjet 3390 printer. I would like to uninstall the Adobe Reader and re-install an older version but there is no uninstaller and I don't know how to go about removing all the files. After having researched some forums, I understand that I cannot just drag and drop Adobe into the Trash without leaving some files behind. I am running the the Mac OS X Version 10.5.8.
    Would someone please advise?

    Hi,
You can delete the Adobe Reader by dragging it to the Trash and then emptying the Trash. Along with the application folder, delete:
Applications/Adobe - If you have not installed Acrobat.com or flash player independently.
Applications/Utilities/Adobe AIR Application Installer -  If you have not installed Acrobat.com or flash player independently
Applications/Utilities/Adobe AIR Uninstaller -  If you have not installed Acrobat.com or flash player independently
    Active Volume/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Active Usre/Library/Applicaiton Support/Adobe
This will solve your uninstallation problem, but Adobe recommends its users to use updated applications since with each update, the company fixes major vulnerabilties. If you revert to the older version you might make your machine vulnerable to outside attacks.
I would recommend that before uninstalling Adobe Reader try updating your printer driver once. THis might work for you.
    cheers
