How do I uninstall from iMac? I keep getting malware saying my pc (wrong!) has suspicious programs, etc., even though I have drug it to trash and reinstalled several times.
Earlier today Firefox crashed. Later a window came up, with the rest of the screen grayed-out, saying there is suspicious programs on my 'pc' (wrong because I have an iMac) and it will run a scan to see if there are any suspicious programs. I immediately quit Firefox, with an additional window popping up asking if I really wanted to quit the page, that data may be lost. I quit. I tried restarting my computer, but in opening Firefox, it did the same thing. I then tried to delete FF by dragging it from my appl. folder to trash and reinstalling using Safari. Did this several times with the same result...still get the popup window saying the same thing each time.

My itunes won't work on my Windows 7 anymore. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled SEVERAL times, but to no avail. It consistantly freezes, won't open or doesn't work correctly. The only way I can get it to close anymore is to go to the task manager and 'end process' itunes. I do get an error at the beginning saying " the registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing. Lets see whether this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working? -
recently bought 4S, it keeps searching for network, reads invalid SIM, keeps searching for network, have switched the handset on and off several times, have tried 2 new micro chips, re set the network too ! nothing seems to be working !!! Iam in Delhi

I keep getting the same email sent to my I cloud account, even though I delete them they just keep coming back. I now have 7 email that I that I can delete several times a day and they just keep coming back. Very frustrating !!
Go and log out of your MobileMe account and then try logging back in again with a dummy username and password. This can help clear it and then just log back in again with your normal username and password.
Note though that iWeb does not require a password or username to use it - this is MobileMe.
Also, start thinking about MobileMe alternatives before you are forced to in June. -

i have a imac and i keep getting popups saying my adobe flash plug in has crashed
Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -
Tried to upgrade as instructed and after uninstalling and reinstalling (even back to the former iTunes which I was happy with)several times, keep getting message "Procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library" followed by "iTunes was not installed properly" "Error 7". Help, please??
Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

How do i resolve this problem? TIFF files show the thumbnails just fine, just not the RAW files. My old Canon 7D was fine with RAW files showing thumbnails also.
Which version of mac os x are you using?
They show here in photoshop 14.2.1 in the open dialog as well as in finder on mac os x 10.10
I believe the operating system provides the thumbnails and not photoshop. -
I downloaded the new firefox 3.6.8 and since then it wont open Every time I try to open I get a window with a yellow background with <window id="main-window" in red text

I have Firefox set to automatically look for updates then ask if I want to install them. I do this when convenient (may also need to restrict downloads on another machine when paying for Internet use by amount downloaded) Until recently it did just this. Firtefox 6 seems to have downloaded & installed (& lost all passwords & cookies) I assumed this happened when someone else was using the machine & said yes. I have also had problems starting Firefox. I click the icon and nothing happens. That problem is intermittent. The Windows message that Firefox is still running after I have closed the Firefox browser keeps occurring and I do not know how to remedy this.
The one thing that is locking up fire fox is the plug ins. You have to check to see if a plug in is locking up firefox first of all.
To see the processes press : CTRL+ALT+DEL. then click the tab marked "Processes" Then look for Fire Fox and click on it. Click the Yes button when the warning box show up.
Then do the say for "Plug-in Container" I believe that is called.
this is because all ads are now flash ads or video ads. They lock my computer up all the time.
When the CTRL+ALT+DEL are pressed. Keep this minimized and you can see if your computer is running at 100% memory near the clock. If the box is totally green, you are running a lot of programs on your system. Check the processes and find out what is not needed. Also watch your virtual memory. Rule of thumb is 1.5x total memory.
Then now it would be able to shut down the computer the right way.

When trying to start Firefox again I got a message saying "Close Firefox. A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." This question is addressed in Mozillazine but nothing I've tried from there seems to work. I started a new Profile from the Profile Manager which at least gets me up and functioning, but weirdly enough the Manager also tells me the old (Default) profile is still running, though I can't find a way to close it. I also can't find the Default profile in my profile manager. can anyone help?

Trying to download my music on a new PC. I've authorized PC and can log into store, etc.. But won't let me download. Says Apple ID disabled. No help on support site. I emailed but will take 2-4 days for response.

I opened it this morning with no problems, went to my g-mail account, pulled up an e-mail, clicked to reply, typed my respons, but when I hit send, everything went completely blank.
I have no tabs, no menu bars... nothing but the firefox logo on the top left corner and the minimize, full screen/small screen, and close/x buttons on the top left corner... that's it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but nothing works.

You say "could you see if you have the same addons installed." How do I do that, when I can't get it to open with anything but a blank screen?
I added Ghosery and Ad Block Plus... and also something similar to Ghosery, but I can't rememeber the name. I added that first... before Ghosery.
Anyway... if I completely uninstalled and then reinstalled, wouldn't I have to reinstall the add ons later?
And I did run a scan of my system with security software... it didn't find anything.
However, when I uninstalled, it uses a Firefox Uninstall Wizard... and in the wizard, there is an option to "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations," but when you check that, it says, "This will permanently remove your bookmarks, saved passwords, cookies and customizations. You may wish to keep this information if you plan on installing another version of Firefox in the future."
I don't save passwords, don't care about the cookies, but the bookmarks took forever to collect, and I don't want to loose them.
Anyway to save or copy the more important bookmarks somewhere else?
Would clicking this option also remove the addons... and maybe that might take care of the possible malware problems that you're talking about?
