How do I uninstall iTunes 11 and reinstall iTunes 10.6

I don't like the new iTunes 11 and want to uninstall it and reinstall the older version. Can anyone help me do this?

Doublechecking. Did you just uninstall iTunes, and not the related software and components?
The 7 can be caused by damage to one of the other software components associated with iTunes (most commonly Apple Application Support). If that's what is afoot, a complete uninstall/reinstall may be of some assistance:

Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!!

You can't unless you have a current backup of your old Lion system because the first thing you must do is erase the drive. It 's possible to use Target Disk Mode between your iMac and the MBP in order to clone the MBP to the iMac. However, that will still erase everything on the iMac's drive.
Or you could see about getting Yosemite to work correctly. If you have IMAP mail, then your mail should be intact.
Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. 5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Download and install the 10.10.1 update.

What exactly happens? What version of iPhoto do you have installed (in teh finder select it in the Applications folder and get info)?

Norton has actually tried to get a update patch out for Firefox 5.0 back on Tuesday (versus taking some six weeks) when Firefox 5.0 was released. However I think some say the toolbar may not work if patch was installed before Firefox 5.0 and not after.

In my Program files list I see iTunes and iTunes (2) and even iPod and iPod (2) where a tech had to back up and do this for me before. I'm just trying to fix it all. I can even run a search and find the folder, but it gives me the same error message. I was planning on using the Microsoft Fix-It tool to help uninstall then Reinstall iTunes. Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to 'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)

Depending on what country that you are in you might be able to re-download past music purchases via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page - re-downloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
But if you only re-installed iTunes and you didn't remove the actual music from your computer, then it should still be on there, and you should be able to add it back into iTunes via File > Add Folder To Library - by default your iTunes content should have been stored under :
Windows 7 and Vista : \users\username\My Music\iTunes.
Windows XP : \user\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes.
