We bought our daughter an ipod for her birthday and I set her up under my applie id so we could moniter what she was doing. Now I have discovered that is she uses facetime the call appears as though it is coming from me and my photos are streaming to her ipod etc. First question, if I set her up under a new apple ID will she lose all her apps and songs that came from my id? second question, how do I change the ipod to no longer ba attached to my account and information? Third question ... is there a simple way to keep our accounts linked and yet have her set up woth her own face time id and texting? Thanks

she would not lose apps go to facetime settings and imessages settings in the settings app and where it says recivce at email at: email_here tap that one tap add other email on her ipod erase the first email (the apple id) they will still be linked she'll still be able to get apps with that account but not facetime or imessage

Connect it to his iTunes library and set it up as a new device. You should be prompted to Erase and Sync the iPod if his iTunes library is separate from hers.

depend on the version of itunes and if it's OS X or windows i suppose
in itunes on ny computer in the upper right corner left of the search bar there is a circle with a black siloet and my name beside it
if I click on the v beside it I can a menu with logout as an option

Go to Store > View My Account > Edit Purchase Info. Then just click "No credit card" and hit Okay, and it will remove all of the info. Good luck.

I am still waiting for an answer. I see numerous reply that do not answer the question, saying something like go into 'Payment Type' and select 'none'.
Well, that does not appear to exist on my account.
Also, why are there only options to say an answer 'Solved my question'!?
What is the point in this self-congratulatory, self-perpetuating cobblers!?
It's nothing short of sinister that there is not a clear and simple option on how to delete my credit card details from my account.
