How do I unlink Refurbished Mac from previous owner?

I bought a refurbished Mac and have two questions:
How do I unlink the computer from previous owners Apple ID? I can't register it and add it to my apple account without doing this.
I have two years left on their Apple Care but can't find the Apple Care Agreement number and I want to register it so that I can mange it in my account. How do I find the Agreement number with nothing but the computer's seriel number?

I'm not sure this helps me. If they didn't deauthorize from their account, I can't do that for them. When I turned on the computer for the first time I was able to set it up as a new computer and then transfer data from my previous computer.
Any other ideas out there?

Then you need to obtain them from the seller. It is illegal (according to Apple) to sell Macs without the system discs that came with it.

What will it take for me at the Apple store - and I am ****** off I have to go - to get them to unlink the previous employee's ID from this phone? Will an email from my company be sufficient?

The company should be able to prove they own it. The company is also remiss in not requiring the employee to release Activation Lock as part of the termination process. We take the cost of the phone out of the last paycheck if this is not done.

If you are referring to Activation Lock, the password for the Apple ID signed into the device is required, there is no way around this. If you do not have the information and cannot contact the previous owner, the device is useless.

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.

You can't do it on your own. The previous owner has to erase the device for you. You would need his Apple ID and password in order to delete his iCloud account. This is due to the Activation Lock in iOS 7 - assuming that your iPad is running iOS 7.
Contact the owner and ask home to erase it remotely using iCloud, or return the device and ask for your money back. If you can't contact the pervious owner, you will have a useless iPad on your hands.

You can do it manually, but it is much simpler if you use a tool such as Back To My Mac, LogMeIn, or something like that. Those programs enable you to connect to your computer through your router without you having to adjust the router settings manually.

Would moving the mask to the Group containing the layer you want to animate give you the result you're looking for?
Your layers list would look like this:
If there are other layers in the group, then you would need to nest the masked group so as to not affect the other layers.
You could also add a shape and use that as an image mask which includes a stencil option.

Select the image you want to mask
Add Image Mask (shift+command+m) via the object menu

Unless you are running a Windows partition, you do not need to be concerned about viruses. As for malware and phishing, good internet browsing habits, and using common sense when downloading software that is not from the App Store will go a long way to preventing those types of issues.
There is a lot of disagreement among the Community members concerning the prudence of installing any sort of AVP. As white_bellied shows above, it can slow down your machine.
I do not have any sort of AVP running on my Mac, and I have never had any issues with malware or phishing.
There are many discussion about AVP on the forum. If you do a search for Anti-virus, you will be able to see some of the opinions and discussions that may help you to make the best decision for you.

The previous owner doesn't need to give you their credentials. They can release the device via Find My iPhone on iCloud.com as per the instructions in the link I posted in my initial response: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner

Make sure the device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Then contact the previous owner and ask them to follow these steps to remove the device from their account:
Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
Click All Devices to open a list of devices linked to their account, then select the device to be removed.
Click the Erase button to erase all content and settings from the device. When prompted, don't enter a phone number or message. Click Next until the device is erased.
When the erase is complete, click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device is erased and removed from the account, you can proceed with the device setup process.
If the person you bought it from refuses to do this, I would assume the device is stolen and I would demand a refund and/or contact the authorities.

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.

You don't. Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them & cannot be transferred to another Apple ID. You need to purchase the app using your ID.
