I finally got so tired of Firefox freezing my computer that I tried to uninstall and reinstall. Upon reinstall, it will not work at all and I am unable to delete my old user profile. Is there any way to get rid of this profile so I can give one last attempt to get Firefox to work before switching permanently to Google Chrome? I really liked Firefox for years until they screwed it up with the recent changes.
Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

In your code you have one line as shown below
filename = filename.replaceAll( ".txt" ,"_" );
I am not sure why you added this in your code,maybe you wanted an underscore to be added to your target filename.
In that case just modify one line of the code I wrote above
this line
ourSourceFileName=ourSourceFileName.replaceAll(".txt",".xml"); is to be replaced by this
ourSourceFileName=ourSourceFileName.replaceAll(".txt","_.xml");
Ensure the following events
1. Sender CC has ASMA and file name ticked
2. Receiver CC has ASMA and file name ticked
3. "fail if ASMA missing" untick this. If this UDF runs successfully then later you can tick this and save the changes.
3. UDF has no input as variable, since you are not using the var1 variable anywhere in your code.
4. in receiver communication channel -> File access parameters-> File name scheme -
> put a default filename with XML extension such as default.xml.

If neither of the above and you don't have the CD and can't find your tracks on the computer then they you're stuck. A file recovery utility will cost $100, plus another $100 for an external drive to which to resue the files, and may not even work. You can buy a lot of CDs for $200. -

Well what happens is I bought the program. It gives you a button to click,
you log in and then a box opens up asking you to select the file, I go into
my filing system (in Windows explorer) select the file, and the program
converts it into docx, my choice. I can read it there and when I try to
copy and paste it into my file where the PDF version is saved, it behaves
like an "image", and I can't save it.... or it saves likes something you
save on the internet, so you have to go into internet every time you want
to see it. I have also pressed any amount of buttons to see if it will
give me the option to save it any other way, and have found nothing. What
I would need is a file in docx.format that I can edit. People send me
things in PDF and sometimes I can just copy it off the PDF file and save it
in WOrd, then I can translate it for them. But sometimes the PDF file
doesnt allow me to copy the text. If it is in image form, I cannot work on
it. It means printing it, so I can copy type it into Word... and for that
I certainly wouldnt need to buy a program. Its just double the work and
ends up that the job takes twice as long.!
Sorry if I am a bit dumb with informatics. But I simply could not find
any way whatever to copy the PDF file that was transformed into Word, in a
format that would enable me to edit it.

Without an iPhone or iPod Touch to restore the backup to, you cannot access the camera roll photos stored in the iCloud backup. Signing into the account on your computer and enabling photo stream will only allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared stream you were subscribed to.

I have photoshop 6 on a dead pc laptop with windows XP. Have a pc laptop that has been upgraded from Vista 64 bit (where phootshop 6 wouldn't install) to windows 7 professional 32 bit (clean install). Photoshop still won't install. Also having reinstallation issues with pse6 on this same pc. Pse6 was installed and working on vista 64bit version of the OS, now won't install on rebuilt windows professional 7 32bit (keeps giving me serial number not valid errors). You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat. -
My enter btton does not work in the address bar or search engine. I have done the restart in safe mode...deleted and reinstalled firefox...done the malware/adware checks...still no improvement.
I was asked to do the "about:support" then click enter for the clipboard to paste the system notes into. That is not an option however because the orginal problem is the enter button not working. Ideas?Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

You can't save it to the Music app directly on the iPad, you will need to see if there are any third-party music apps in the store that you allow you to copy music from Mail to them. For the Music app then only way to get music into it is via the iTunes store app directly on the iPad and by syncing from your computer's iTunes.

The APP application on my iPad does not function properly - any downloads requested immediately fail and send me back tot he main iPad screen. Any suggestions on to hoe to fix this? The software has been updated to iOS 5.1.1, and no furthe updates are available.
This is my boilerplate response when app downloads are stalled or in the "waiting" mode. There are a bunch of things here to try.
Tap on the "installing" icon and see if you can pause the install, then tap on it again in order to resume the install.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download and install at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and see if the install resumes.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.
