How do I unlock my iPad? There is a message from icloud backup saying"This ipad hasn't been backed up in 33 weeks......"
I haver received this message from the cloud but I am unable to get rid of it to power down the ipad and back it up.
This issue is because you haven't backed up to iCloud in a long time. Do what @pvonk and @mende1 said and than go to settings icloud storage and backup and press back up now

Above problem, to complicate it, I changed my Router....so not sure if it will find internet.
It says it must be plugged in, locked and connected to wifi.
It is froze solid. Can't get it to do anything.
Tried resetting on itunes, not successful. It will sync w/ account.
Will not power down.
Added to wifi category, there is no appropriate choice for Locking up.
HELP!Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

My iPhone 5S drowned in a rainstorm. How can I retrieve contacts and text messages from iCloud backup onto my iPad mini? There are some contacts on the iPad already but nowhere near all of them. I need to re-enter the contacts manually into an iPhone 4 as it does not support iOS 8.
Let me get this straight.....You lost your phone. You never backed it up, either to your computer or to a cloud service.
How in the world would you expect to get data back? -
"This iPhone hasn’t been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPhone is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."
I am get this message on my Ipad and have followed the instructions, connect the Ipad, lock the screen and connected to a Wi-Fi connection - however I have done this but I still get the message on the screen. It will not even let me press 'OK' - the screen is not responsive... I cannot access the OS. HelpReset your iPad to clear that condition:
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). -
Screen alert, "This iPhone hasn’t been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPhone is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi." doesn't go away after tapping on "OK" button. Can't even switch iPad off.
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Baffled by the message on screen as I have not tried to back up the machine. How do I do anything when I am unable to go beyond this message? I am on a friends laptop trying to make some sense of what has happened. I did get an email some time ago about verifying my id but have not had time to look at this and now can't find it. I am completely stuck - can anyone help?

YongDo a device reset as outlined below. This will clear the message and allow you to use your device again.
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally. -
I have problem with my IPAD2, there is meesage that IPAD hasn;t been backed up in 1 weeks. Backups happen when this IPAD is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi. And then I press OK below those message, but nothing happen and can't do anything too. I push start button, they appear but still "can't reach them". Anybody knows how to fix it back to normal?
Go to Settings, iCloud, and then Storage and Backup. You will then see a button to backup your iPad. It may be that you have much stuff (i.e. photos, apps) for it to do a full backup but you will be able to tell what the estimated backup should be and what it will consist of so that you can choose to prune down items. If you don't want to backup and get rid of the messages you can just turn backup off from this area as well.
