How do I unregister my iphone on one computer to register it on a different one?

I registered my iphone on my friends computer with her itunes because mines wasnt working, now I got mines working and everytime I try to go look at my music and add more when I plug it in, it only charges. Why does this keep happening?

You authorize your new computer with your Apple ID with iTunes. Deauthorizing your previous computer first or at all is not required.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes Store from an iPod, iPhone, or iOS device. This is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
After authorizing your new computer with your Apple ID with iTunes, with your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From – the name of your iPhone.

  • How can I locate my Iphone from my computer

I cannot find my IPhone. Can anyone tell me how I can locate my IPHONE via a computer because I don't have another phone?

If you set up the Find My iPhone service prior to your iPhone going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPhone is turned on, connected to either the 3G or a WiFi network, or has not had the Find My iPhone service disabled or the iPhone been completely restored). If you set up Find My iPhone, log into iCloud.com from any computer with a current web browser and an Internet connection. If you did not set up Find My iPhone, check with your cell carrier. Some carriers offer their own tracking service, though you usually have to pay for it.
If your carrier does not offer such a service and you did not set up Find My iPhone, then there is no way to track the unit. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPhone (the iTunes Store, for instance).
    Regards.

If the photos were put onto the phone by using iTunes to sync photos from the computer, the only supported way to remove the photos is to sync again with iTunes but this time remove the check mark beside the "Sync Photos from" question on the Photos tab of iTunes or change the folders of the photos to be synced.

  • HT1689 How do i unregister my iphone from my Apple ID and Itunes?

I actually purchased a Samsung S4 and need to unregister my IPhone from my account.  How do I do that?

    Hello PJBurke65,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
You can remove your iPhone from your Apple ID with this article:
    iCloud: Remove your device
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2702
If you’re no longer using an iOS device or Mac, you can remove it from Find My iPhone when it’s offline. To remove a device that’s online, first turn off Find My iPhone on the device, or erase the device.
If you want to give away or sell your device, be sure to erase your content and settings (in Settings > General > Reset). When you erase your content, Activation Lock is also turned off. For more information, see the Apple Support article: What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Remove your device from Find My iPhone
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud). If you’re already using an iCloud web app, click the app’s name to switch apps.
Click All Devices, select the offline device, then click Delete x.The Delete icon appears only after Find My iPhone has tried and failed to connect to your device (this may take a few minutes).
Note:   You can also click “Remove from Find My iPhone” in the device’s Info window.
    Click Remove.
If your device goes online again later (and Find My iPhone is still turned on), it automatically reappears in Find My iPhone. If you still have access to the device, prevent it from reappearing by turning off Find My iPhone:
On an iOS device, go to Settings > iCloud, then tap to turn off Find My iPhone.
On a Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click iCloud, then deselect Find My Mac.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • How do you move an iphone from one mac to a new mac when both are using Itunes Match

I have an Imac (Mountain Lion) with two users sharing an Itunes account (Ver 11).  We each have iphones syncing to the computer (and to icloud separatly). I have just activated Itunes match on the IMac and on both phones.  I just bought a new MacBookPro and have activated Itunes match on it so I am sharing Itunes. Now, I want to move one of the iphones to the new MacBook and have it backing up to that computer instead of the Imac.  How should I proceed with synching the phone with the new computer?  How about the photos on the iphone?  Will they just load into the iphoto library on my new MacBook Pro.
Also, can I still synch the phones manually and move over playlist from Itunes to the phone?  I am assuming that when you turn off itunes match on the phone those playlists will be active.  I want to make sure that say, when I am on a plane or have no wifi or cell, that I can still use the phone as an Ipod.  With Itunes match you are streaming and always need a signal.  There has to be a way to retain the simple music player functionality, right?

There's too much above for me to specifically answer your questions, but I'll assume from the title that you're basically trying to sync to a new computer.  So here are some articles to help you.
