I just downloaded ff 4. I have a website i can't access because it doesn't support ff 4

You can uninstall Firefox 4 by running the Firefox uninstaller - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+Firefox
If reverting to an earlier version of Firefox, when uninstalling Firefox 4 do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install Firefox 3.6.15 available from http://www.mozilla.com - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

You should at least install the latest Firefox 3.6.28 version for your Mac OS X 10.4 PPC computer instead of the current Firefox 3.6.18 version.

How do I stop Fire Fox auto Updates?

all of the boxes are properly checked and it still updates. I want total control of what goes on my computer. I hate auto updates, I want to tell it when and if to update. I am about to uninstall Fire Fox and change if I can't solve this. How do I stop you from over riding my settings of NEVER check , never update ? How can I have Fire Fox automatically resize photos in e-mail

I send an e-mail with photo attachments and it says file too big. I don't want to go to my paint program with every photo I e-mail and resize it manually. I want Fire Fox to do it automatically. OK and when I run desktop manager then what do I do? There are no instructions after this setup with my mobile carrier, they just leave me hanging. Also, is my phone going to be wiped or will it just update the OS? I don't want to lose all my settings that took me hours to setup on this thing and have to redo everything all over again. Backup? I don't understand how to do that either (again all of this is new to me). I don't have a second phone where I can call T-Mobile on the phone and have them walk me through it, I only have my cell that's it. I use Windows 7 the browser Internet Explorer is troublesome with banking programs, so I changed to Fire Fox BUT there are too many add on's, you never know what it is going to do next one minute it giving out security messages, the next it is using popups to advertise weight reduction and trying to get me to up date something to play music .

No, you can't get a warning before deleting bookmarks. 
If you notice too late and already have restarted Firefox then you will have to restore from a daily JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
