How to Pass Variables from One Application to Another Pop Up Window

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone on the list has tried calling up a
pop up manager, and have two other variables imported for secondary
usage. I have tried using [Bindable], but this does not seem to be
working, and I am still getting errors that tells me that the
variables are "not defined" when it gets passed to another
HTTPService. I tried embedding the Pop Up Manager in the same
application as the one that is supposed to "pass the variables,"
but it no longer acts as a pop up window.
Could anyone please tell me where I can find the answers for
this?

Hi,
I am trying to display some data on the Child window that
would need to take the data from the parent titleWindow, which
could be drop down menus, text labels or combo boxes. I would need
to use a HTTPService on the child dialog box to accomplish task I
think, but the problem is, how would I get the information from its
parent window? The example I have are all about how the text input
from the child window gets feed back to the parent.
Would I need to create a "reverse" declaration or something
so I can access the information from the parent in the child
window?

Hi,
If your JAVA Application is Web based application, you can expose it as Webservice.
JAVA People will pick the data from Dbase using their application and will send the data to XI by using our XI Details like Message Interface and Data type structure and all.
So we can Use SOAP Adapter or HTTP in XI..
If you use HTTP for sending the data to XI means there is no need of Adapter also. why because HTTP sits on ABAP Stack and can directly communicate with the XI Integration Server Directly

How to send info from Win32 Application to C# application

I develop two separate application Win32 and C# (WPF). I would like to send some info (such as a list of words) from Win32 application to a window in C# application. How to do this?
We have SendMessage and PostMessage Win API but not sure how to catch these messages from C# application's window. Or do we have other methods to send info to C#?
Actually I would like to send a list of words from Text Service (Win32) to a keyboard (C#-WPF).

How to stop vdbench from external applications? What are the impacts?

I am using vdbench to test following scenario:
1) Start vdbench - do read/write (I use poweshell start-process to start vdbench which returns me the process object )
2) Poll for particualr system event(my test condtion). When the event happens stop read/write ASAP(To stop the process I use powershell Stop-process and pass process object as the argument. This actually stops IO as seen task manger)
3) Continue testing
I want to understand
1) Are the steps followed correct?
2) What is the correct method to stop vdbench from external application?

An other thought, that maybe is of interest to you, coming in the next version of Vdbench.
A conversation with one of my internal users:
It does not make sense to look at current Vdbench output trying to figure out what is happening when.
This locks us in to tricks and guessing and prevents me from make changes to the output.
Monday I will create a new file in Vdbench: status.html
This file will only be there for any kind of wrappers to see what is going on.
I'll make sure that the file contents are flushed to the file system as soon as a line of text has been written.

We are developing an Inventory based application in JDeveloper 3.2.2/Oracle 8i/Netscape Enterprice web server on Windows NT platform. The application is developed in swing technology.
We have to print Barcodes on Intermec 3400/4100 or Zeebra Z4000 (connected to COM1/COM2) from our java application from one of our screens.

How to integrate Events from Siebel application to Oracle Webcenter portal

We have a requirement where one application resides in Siebel and the poral is running on Oracle Webcenter Portal. Here we want to see the events/appointment which are created in Siebel Application, should be visible in Oracle Webcenter Portal's calendar as soon as user logs in. It is a Hospital portal, and appointments are created in Siebel Application and when Doctor logs in to portal (running on Oracle webcenter portal), user should be able to see them on his Calendar/event.
Please help me how to go ahead with it.

Not sure that I agree with my friend Yannick on this. I think that you can change to point to a different DBMS. You might be able to do this by reconfiguring the Siebel server and give SQL Server as your DBMS and then give the correct SQL connect into. At worst case I think you can change the server data source named subsystem. You will need to change the DLL name and well as the connect info. If the reconfiguration does not work your best bet would be to compare the settings from your server data source for Oracle to a known good server data source for SQL Server.
BTW, why would you make this change? As a database Oracle can’t be beat. 11g is incredible.

The Script Logic File is assigned to Data Manager Package which in backend will call the process chain.
So in your case you will be assigning the name of the Script file(in different application), to the DM Package of some other application from where you will be calling the logic.
