How do i unsynch my emails from hotmail on iphone 4 so that if i delete from my iphone, it won't delete from the desktop email?

I can't "unsynch" my hotmail emails from my iPhone 4.
I had this previously set up on my phone so that I only had my main inbox (no subfolders) and if I deleted an email then it only deleted it from my phone, not from the desktop email.
However, due to having to reset my whole hotmail account today, I had to delete my account from my Iphone and reactivate it, but when I did so it synched everything and now I have all my subfolders etc... and when I delete an email from my phone, it deletes the message from my whole account.
Does anyone know how to re-set this?

The only way to do that is to use a mail server with IMAP access, such as iCloud or Gmail. What you have is a POP account, which is the type provided by most ISP's.

How can I get missing contacts, notes, calendar dates and reminders that are just on my old iphone onto the iCloud for transfer to my new iPhone upgrade? Half of my contacts, notes, ect. were on my iCloud so have happily moved to my new iPhone but the rest are completely resistant. For example, on my iCloud I have 14 missing contacts starting with the letter A alone, however they are happily viewable on my old iPhone 4S and won't budge over into the iCloud.
There are also 3 notes missing yet still acessible on my onld iPhone 4S, the list goes on.
Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you so much.

You need to change your Apple ID password. You could login to Find My iPhone and wipe that iPad if you felt the need to do so.

This phone was new. And it was sealed from the box that was closed. And the backup was on my laptop. And this icloud account was saved by mistake on my laptop.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. What exactly are you referring to? Are the menus or templates for Pages in a different language? Does something strange appear on the screen when you type?
Could you perhaps use the Camera icon here to post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

You have to remember either the BlackBerryID password, or the secret question answer. Without either, you're stuck.
Your choices are:
--Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
--Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

TS1389 Similar problem with our iPad. Apps purchased with "old" USR name that is not an email address can not be updated. Free Apps update OK, but purchased ones show box asking for the non-email USR ID which Apple no longer recognizes. HELP

Have tried to get Apple Tech Support and local Apple techs to deal with this problem to no avail. Apple store "genius" throws up hands and says nothing can be done. Root of the problem seems to be that the old non-email AppleID is stuck in their system creating a catch22 that it appears as the account purchasing Apps, then is not recognized as a valid ID, and then disallows any attempt to change it to a recognized email address.
Consequence is that Apps appropriately purchased can not be updated. Apple store advises us to delete them and repurchase, but this seems more Windowsian than Applian. Any Ideas??

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I found an article that addresses Apple IDs that are different than the Primary Email Address on the account. You will need to go to https://appleid.apple.com/ to "Make your Apple ID and email address one and the same."
If your Apple ID and primary email address do not match, or they match but the email address is unverified, you can edit them.
1. Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
2. If you want to add and verify an email address that matches your Apple ID, follow the dialog box that says "Make your Apple ID and email address one and the same." This will automatically unverify that email address from any other Apple ID for which it was previously verified.
3. If you want to change your email address to one that does not match your Apple ID, click Edit next to your Primary Email Address. If this email address is already associated with another Apple ID, you will need to sign in with that Apple ID and delete it before you can add it to your preferred Apple ID.
Note: If you have an @me.com or @mac.com Apple ID and primary email address, you cannot edit your primary email address once it has been verified. To change your @me.com or @mac.com primary email address to another email address, contact Apple Support for assistance.

On those site asking for your name, address, city, email address, this program would put that info where required. All one had to do was type the first letter or number of the info needed. Is this a Firefox program?

The program would enter info for me. I only had to type the first letter or number of the info needed. For example, my first name is OSCAR. So, to enter this info in the box marked "First name", I only had to type in the box the letter "O". The program would then type OSCAR. I would then click on the name "OSCAR" and the name OSCAR would be entered in the box asking for my first name. Same with "city", "zip code", "last name", "email address", etc. Is this a Firefox feature??
