HOw Do I untrash my trash

Question

So I made a folder for a group of documents I need for a class im taking on the desktop then put it on the doc so I could get to it fast, but after putting in a mass of documents I saw it still on the desk top and threw it in the trash as I like to keep it clean,
I later did some updates and empty the trash and left I come back to work on said documents and see a ? where said folder was on the doc.
Well I now realized that I had made it go away and I can seem to find anway to get it back, and of course I never set up time machine or did any kind of backing up why bother its all on the cloud right yea not so much I didnt set that up for my documents cause I would never do home work any where but right here at my desk
so any way  I was wondering if their is a way to retrive my trash from the trash man?
P.S. as a certified tech I should tell every one to make sure you back up your data it is very important and ez to set up......

If you empty the trash it is gone. There are data recovery services that charge a lot to try and recover data with mixed success. There are also a number of programs out there that do a fair job or retrieving things.
There are so many variables involved here that it is impossible to say if you'd have any success getting those items back. Definitely the more time passes and the more the system is used since the deletion the last likely it is you'd be able to recover anything.
