How do i unzip this ?

okay, all.
here's a good one for ya - i have downloaded aix.ppc64_11gR2_database_1of2.zip and aix.ppc64_11gR2_database_2of2.zip.
i've moved them over onto my aix 5l machine and used unzip on the 1st one ( 1of2 - unzip aix.ppc64_11gR2_database_1of2.zip)
it did NOT - as i expected - create a "Disk1" subdirectory and expand the .zip file into it.
it DID create a "database" subdirectory and expand the .zip file into IT !
how should i handle the 2of2? , unzip it right over the files that are already in the "database" subdirectory? was "unzip" even the right thing to do - it expanded the .zip file just fine, no errors, and there are lots of files under the "database" subdirectory !

          2. Download and unzip both files to the same directory.
          3. Installation guides and general Oracle Database 11g documentation are here.

Rar is not zip so you need a unrar utility to expand it. The one above is one example of many. If you follow that link you will see a "Related Software" section on that page that lists a bunch more.
FWIW, my current favorite is UnRarX.
There's also the unrar cammand if you need to do it from the terminal (or script).

It may be Time Machine, but Time Machine doesn't store backups in .zip folders. Open Finder and select your backup external disk in the Finder sidebar, under "Devices". If you are using Time Machine, you should see a folder called "Backups.backupdb".
If you are using Time Machine and you want to restore a full Time Machine backup, there are different methods depending on the Mac OS X version you are using. Open  > About this Mac, see Version and tell me what version you are using

First, there is no such thing as an Encore trial, due to licensing of 3rd party program modules
Second, Encore is installed as a bundle with Premiere Pro CS6

If you have an older version of Office for Mac, i.e. Office 2004 which predates .docx format files, then you can install a free addon to allow it to import and export .docx files.

I have a .zip file I cannot extract even using Unarchiver. The file breaks into .dat files which Unarchiver does not open or restore. When I double click on the file name itself, it just make a copy of the file. How can I extract this .zip file in Yosemite?

You would need to make sure you're accessing the Computers icon. If you are under the Music icon, that will be accessing the cloud and only show iTunes purchases (unless you subscribe to iTunes Match)

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

You might be quicker help posting in the LR forum rather than the ACR forum, but I believe the way to fix this is to delete the preview cache.
Find your catalog folder.
Close LR.
Within the catalog folder, delete the FOLDER called Catalog-Name Previews.lrdata
Start LR.

How do i unzip this ?
