How do I update Dreamweaver to 12.1?

I chatted with Adobe support and they sent me to the forums.
They said I should receive 12.1 automatically, but I have been using 12 for months.
When I go to Help>Update it says it's up to date.
Any one know how to update manually?

I'm not an Adobe employee, just a software user like you, I don't have any special knowledge of the "whys" in Adobe's choices, especially in releasing and supporting three different versions of the software at the same time. At this point though, you really do need to think of DWCS6 Perpetual (Disk/one time payment download), DWCS6 Cloud and DWCC all as completely separate versions of the program, even though two of them share the same base version number with 12.
DWCS6 Perpetual and DWCS6 Cloud are very different from each other (and get more different as the Cloud versions are updated regularly). In order to get the Cloud benefits (additional insert functions), you have to upgrade to the Cloud version. It's really no different from upgrading 5 to 5.5 or 5.5 to 6. The main issue for a lot of people is Adobe's new subscription based payment scheme, if it wasn't for that, I'm guessing there wouldn't be so many "current" versions of the program and all the confusion around them and their updates.
If you have the perpetual license, I'd assume there aren't going to be many more, if any, updates for it. From a business standpoint, Adobe has moved on from the "buy the whole suite once every couple years" scheme to the subscription based payment system. Logically, continued development on "the old version" would be a waste of resources for them when they want everyone moving to a subscription based (read normalized cashflow) version of the software. Only offering the "newest and best" to subscribers is the proverbial carrot to make people switch over.
It can be a bit painful, especially for small "work from home" designers and anyone else who only upgrades every couple versions. For those who kept up to date on every release of the Master Collection, it's really not a big deal moving to the subscription (IIRC, it's a bit cheaper in reality).

Download the unwrapped 8.0.2 update from Adobe: http://kb2.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/ts/documents/kb400150/DW802_unwrapped.zip
Extract the files into a root directory. There should be only one MSI file.
Open an administrator privilaged command prompt by typing in the Start menu "Command" and right clicking the "Command Prompt" option and selecting "Run as Administrator"
Navigate to the directory you extracted the files to using the CD command
Once in the directory with the MSI file run the following command: msiexec /update patchpackage.msp
Step through the installer, and everything should be fine, open Dream Weaver and go to Help -> About to verify the patch installed.

How do I update those installs?

You mean the people that that just 'send report to apple' and get on with it I presume? Like me most of the time. Well, as we all know, there are so many variables. The fact is, as far as I'm concerned right now is that Logic 8.0.1 needs some serious work. I can for sure say that I have noticed a snappier response as far as the graphics go. But as for overall performance, it needs an update. I'm trying not to be negative toward your positive thread however, do a search on overloads and, well, they will unfortunately outweigh this thread for sure. It does make me wonder mind how the price of a pro app like Logic tumbled when apple released the Logic studio box. It's £100 cheaper than Cubase 4. It just makes me think garage band ultimate edition right now.

New Computer Error Update Dreamweaver MX2004

Two questions,
first is updating Dreamweaver to 7.0.1. Receiving error
message Dreamweaver is not installed. I've verified the location of
Dreamweaver MX2004 and even selected that folder. For some reason,
it's not seeing the program.
Second Question
Even tho I titled this new computer, it is only a new MB and
new HD. For some stupid reason I did NOT consider how I was going
to handle my DW files. All the data files are a direct copy to a
backup drive.
Drive 1 is not installed in any computer. It has the updated
Dreamweaver installed and my sites. It could be installed into the
new computer, but this is not the preference, as there will be
implications of the old OS on a new MB.
Drive 2 has a completely fresh load of DW {&XP} and copy
of data files off backup drive.
Drive 3 is the USB backup drive.
Once I get DW properly updated, how do I get it to properly
recognize my data and site?

You would have to export your site definitions from your old
setup and
import them into your new setup. Or, failing that, you would
have to copy
your data files (the site files themselves) into a location
on your new hard
drive, and redefine your sites, each pointing to the proper
root folder on
the new system.

a) add the Student object to the Vector

Two ways:
1. After transferring to the external drive create an alias to the iTunes Music folder on the external drive. Copy the alias into your Home folder. Rename the alias to "iTunes Music." Delete the alias from the external drive.
2. In the iTunes preferences click on the Advanced icon in the toolbar. You should see a field labeled, "iTunes Media Folder Location." Click on the Change button and select the /iTunes Music/ folder on the external drive.

Safari is now a part of OS X and there are different versions (5, 6 and 7) of it.

In this log file I can see you are getting Error : U44M1P7 while updating the software
This Error comes where language packs for software are not installed properly on the machine.
I would suggest to update Adobe Application manager from
Windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
MAC: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
then try to install the update if still you are not able to update software and getting same error then uninstall all the Adobe software selecting remove prefernces.
After uninstalling the software run the Adobe Cleaner tool(http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and remove the leftovers.
