How do I update my newly installed CS6 products (illustrator, photoshop, etc)?

How do I update my newly installed CS6 products (illustrator, photoshop, etc)? I'm sure some of these have been updated since the installation disk was produced.. I need the latest versions for CS6, not the Cloud.

I just got my beautiful new computer, custom designed, with 12 gb memory, solid state drive, HDMI 27" monitor, with a second DVI monitor, liquid cooling, Windows 7 Pro -- the works. However, installing CS 5.5 works fine. I wanted to try the cloud, but every program just crashed, and Windows reboots. So, I tried upgrading to CS6. Unfortunately, the same problem. Bridge works fine -- but, no other program in the Suite works at all -- all crash on start up, and Windows gives me the dreaded blue screen, and reboots.
Help! Just spent a huge bundle on this system and software, and am stuck. And tomorrow's a work day!

Good plan as believe that load without plugins. 3rd party fonts and plugins, along with drivers are most common causes of crashes.
Did you update the video card driver from makers site? CS6 and CC stresses it a lot more than CS5.5

What installing the twain plug-in, you mean? Go to your applications folder. Find the Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 folder. Look in there for a folder called support files, then for a folder called optional plugins. In the Optional Plugins folder, there should be a folder called ImportModules. Just drag that from the Optional Plugins folder to the regular Plugins folder.
This will be infinitely easier to do if you put your applications folder window into list view, not the default icon view. To do that, click this button at the top of the window:

How can I update Flash WITHOUT installing Chrome? I keep getting update messages. I go throught the download and install process but there is no option to un-check installing Chrome. I don't want Chrome. I'm not asking for Chrome. I just want to update Flash.

There are a few threads around here with this same issue, and as far as I know Adobe has not addressed it adequately. Many of us, when we are prompted with an update for Flash, are not given the option to opt out of installing google toolbar and google chrome.
Adobe is playing cute, pretending to be surprised at such reports. They always demand screenshots of it, and then ignore them when the screenshots are posted. Then demand screenshots in the next thread with the same issue, feigning surprise that such an isue could occur. Sometimes they insist it isnt happening or it is somehow user error (as if it is user error to simply allow the update from their app to install after getting the update message from their app! )
The problem , in my case, was that the update goes to a URL that autoselects chrome and toolbar. I found if I manually edited the URL, that it would not automatically install chrome and toolbar.
Basically the URL has to be manually edited , so take out the " &a=Google_Toolbar_7.4&a=Google_Chrome_22.0_IE_Browser " at the end AND the "&dualoffer=true&chromedefault=true" bit in the middle. Then it will give you the opt-out. Then do make sure to uncheck the box, obviously And it is obvious that the users are not doing this on purpose, this is built into Adobe's updater, somewhere. As it should be. To change your file associations manually<, simply change them in Windows Explorer/ MAc Finder using the known procedures - right-click --> Properties/ Info --> File Types or use Open With....

I purchased CS6 Production Premium from JourneyEd Academic software. The software only seems to be a Windows version.
JourneyEd will not issue a RMA number and claims it can be installed on a MAC.
They said contact Adobe for help. How do I install it or can it be returned to Adobe for exhange??

Do you have a serial number? For CS6 Production Premium there is only a Windows version or Mac version there is not a multi-platform version available for Education customers. Equally you will be unable to use the Windows serial number with a Mac installer.

How long does it take to install cs6?

I've been installing cs6 for 4 or 5 hours now and it now says "About 1018 minutes remaining (14% Complete)" ... it sits there at 14% while the time just keeps getting longer and longer!!! This seems rediculus, its going to take over 20 hours to install this? This is a fast 8 core, 16 Gb ram, 3.2Ghz computer how can it possibly take so long to install?!

Have you received any type of error message? You may want to try disabling your anti-virus/security software as it could be interferring with the installation process. Which operating system are you using?

How can I install CS6 Production Premium upgrade without re-installing CS5.5?

I need to reinstall Adobe Creative Suite CS6 Production Premium on my OSX 10.9.5 (Mavericks). I bought CS6 as an upgrade to my CS5.5. I can't reinstall CS5.5 because it doesn't seem to be supported on the new OSX (the installer won't run). CS6 seems to be able to install, but when I enter in the serial number, it says that I need CS5.5 already installed.

When you go to activate CS6 it should indicate that your serial number is valid but a qualifying product cannot be found on the machine (this would be CS5.5). There should be a selection list where you select the older version (CS5.5) as well as an entry where you input the serial number for that older version.

I'm wondering if there are remaining files somewhere on my mac causing Creative Cloud to detect these non-existant products which were once installed. When I click "Update All", all CS6 products fail but CC products update successfully.
Any ideas?

Installing CS6 Production Premium and Retaining Some Programs from CS5

I currently have the CS5 Design Premium suite installed on my computer. I want to purchase CS6 Production Premium and want to know if CS6 automatically uninstalls CS5? I want to keep Dreamweaver and InDesign from the CS5 suite. Is this possible or is CS5 uninstalled without any control over retaining programs within the suite. Thanks.
