How do I Update OS for imac OS 8.6??

Hello-
Can I update my imac OS from 8.6 to OS X?? Or do have to update to 9.0 first and then to X?? Any feedback would be greatly appreceia†ed!!

Some other considerations, like everyone else said, update the firmware before installing Mac OS X at all. Just attempting to install Mac OS X without the proper firmware installed before you install Mac OS X, may cause the screen to go permanently blank.
iMacs without Firewire can not install Mac OS X 10.4 and above, but can install earlier versions of Mac OS X if they have the proper firmware, and correct amount of RAM and disk space. The iMacs that have Firewire have two ports that look like the port in this picture that is second from the right
iMacs with Firewire but no DVD drive can install Mac OS X 10.4 and above if they get the Media Exchange Program CD version of 10.4 found on:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/upgrade/ 's right hand side if you are in the U.S. or similar link on foreign websites for Apple. If you are in that predicament, I can direct you to the correct page to get the Media Exchange Program Disk if you aren't in the U.S.

When I ran Secunia Software Inspector today it told me that
the version of Java I have installed on my computer is out of date.
It tells me that it is finding 3 out-of-date files:
Once here:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_04\bin\java.exe
Twice here:
C:\Windows\System32\java.exe
and three times here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\JVM\bin\java.exe
I updated Java via the Sun website and consequently the first
and second warnings disappeared when I reran the Software
Inspector.
The software inspector however is still finding an
out-of-date Java version here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\JVM\bin\java.exe
Question is: How do I update Java for Adobe Flash CS3?
Is it adequate to copy the updated file "java.exe" from
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_04\bin\" to "C:\Program
Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\JVM\bin\" or do I need to do anything
else?

solution. Me it's Kaspersky Anti Virus (AV) which find this
problem.
So (and I dont know if this solution is perfect), but I open
Flash CS3 with the Java update choiced and apparently Flash
fonctionnely well and Kaspersky dont find this
prob now. But I dont never use Java in Flash (or without that

I think that "JRE v 1.6.0_04" and more recent Java version is
not good, because it's not quite the same Java application that in
Flash CS3, In Flash CS3 it's "J2RE" and

GO to the tramsformations of your DSO..
In the Rule Group..Click on any key Figure..
this pops u a window..in which u will find AGGREGATION ..Then u can select Either OVERWRITe or SUMMATION which suites ur requirement..

How to stop update notification for one app (iMovie) that I do not want to update. I do not want iMovie 10 taking up nearly 3 gb on my hard disc. iMovie 9 is just fine and only takes up 1.5 gb. But I get notifications to update and don't know how to turn it off. I've gone into the Purchases tab of the App store and deleted it. I don't want to turn off Update notifications (which is irrelevant in any case because I see no option to do that in Notifications system preference pane). I have been continually getting a Software Update notification for "Migration Assistant Update for Lion" (described "This update provides compatibility for migrating to a Mac running OS X Mavericks.") for quite a while now. IMHO, I consider my Mac knowledge/tech experience level (on a scale of 1-10, where 10 is a Mac Guru) to be about maybe 6 or 7 on average (&von a good day maybe an 8). That's assuming, of course, something like this can be quantified in that way. LOL! ;-) Anywho, I digress... Back to my question... As a general rule I don't immediately jump & install every single new update that comes out for all of my technology/electronics, no matter if Apple or Google tells me to do so. Obviously, I take all notices regarding security seriously & immediately research (unless it's forced upon me) it thoroughly before installing. This is ESPECIALLY true for apps in Apple's app store or Google Play Store, & I read a lot of the user reviews, as well as trusted tech gurus on the Web. Because NOT EVERY update is truly an improvement (mostly b/c of the failure to FULLY test them before releasing, more like unleashing, them to the public...Microsoft has mastered this FUBAR technique to absolute 'perfection', or something like that...haha!) OY, I'm so sorry for continually getting off topic. Okay, seriously now, here's what I want to know: Is there any way to tell Apple I don't want to install one of their recommended updates & also to stop bugging me about it? I'm specifically referring to the one I mentioned above. Everything I found online about Mavericks made me want to stay VERY FAR AWAY from it. I could be wrong or found bad info, but I don't think so. Please let me know if I'm wrong, because I really want to make the best/most informed decision possible. Thanks!
That being said, today I received notifications about Apple's latest security update (2014-001), plus one for Safari. I plan to install the security update for sure & most likely the one for Safari (even though I stopped using it months ago & started using either Chrome, Opera or Firefox - I still haven't picked a fave, but use Chrome 90% of the time... I'm open to suggestions about these apps too...)... But, I don't want to mess with the "Migration Assistant" one.
I would really love some help from my fellow Mac users... I apologize for being long winded & will try to reign in that nagging writing flaw in future posts. Also, I apologize if I've missed something that's totally obvious & easily found on this or other forums/sites, but I really did try to find an answer before posting my question here...

you can also acheive this using MERGE( available in sql 2008 and above).
also, you are referring to DTS. DTS is legacy solution now..are you using sql 2000, you can use ssis, if you want and it available in sql 2005. as said, there are multiple ways you can do this.. it find the below one a easy solution, since your are
