How do I update slices in photoshop without losing the links in Dreamweaver??

Hi all,
I have designed a website in photoshop and everything is sailing smoothly. The only problem I have is that everytime I try to update the layout in photoshop I lose all the links I had put to the slices in dreamweaver. This happens even if am just adding a single word to the layout in photoshop and sav it for web. the website has many many links and everytime I update the site means I have to put the links on all over again and it is a chao as they are over 100 links....
Is there a way to update the layout in photoshop and still have the slices with their links in dreamweaver?? I also lose all my DIV tags when I update the site...
Please help

Sounds like you're exporting Save as type: HTML and Images, which will overwrite your modified HTML (anchors etc) in your web page every time.
When you export the slices, try exporting Save as type: Images Only, so that only the image get exported and your modified HTML (anchors etc) stays intact.
Provided your slice names and dimensions don't change, only the sliced images will update and your page layout will remain intact.

I have ipad version 4.3.2 and I want to update to ios7.  However, I cannot backup my musics on itune.  How can I update without losing my musics?

Updating will not cause you to lose data but things can always go wrong. You should definitely backup before you update. I assume you have music on the device that was not purchased in iTunes and synced with a different iTunes library. You can transfer these songs back to your computer with third party software such as TouchCopy.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You won't lose songs when you update iTunes to the most recent version, but I recommend you to make a copy of your library in another folder. After updating, open iTunes and it will update the library to use it with the most recent version

  • How to export raw pictures to jpeg without losing the original colors?

    Hello guys,
    Actually I'm facing a problem
which is I took photos in Raw Format
but unfortunately when I import it to LR
    it lose its colors
and here is a video for my problem
    LR's problem - YouTube
And now I want a solution
so I can convert it to jpeg
    without losing its original colors.
    Thank you all in advance

You ask a variation of the age-old question:  “Why did LR ruin my photos?”  It’s because the initial view is what your camera does for its JPG preview that is embedded in each raw photo based on your camera’s settings and the LR interpretation that loads after a second or two, is the raw data interpreted with the Adobe defaults.
I would guess that your camera is “fixing” the shots somehow, and LR, not knowing what your camera is doing, is just rendering the shots from the raw data as it exists without fixing anything.
Do you know if the camera was in some special mode that fixes things automatically before creating the JPG?

I would like to disable one of my @me.com mail addresses, so that it is no longer possible to send mails to that account, but I want to avoid losing the mails that have been sent to that account.
Is that possible, and how do I do that?

Simply move the mail to a folder that isn't associated with that account, before deleting the account from your device.

  • How do I update event movie quality without disrupting the work in my edited project.

I have a pretty unique problem. I have just over 2 hours of 1080p footage for a music video. I imported it into iMovie, and started working. After a few hours I realized that the setting of "Automatically resize imported video as 960x540" was selected.
I'd like to keep the work in the project, but update the imported video that was 960x540 to it's full 1080p. I understand this would mean replacing all the footage in the event with the full HD video, but would the project be disrupted if this is done?

In theory this might work, but I have never tried it.
I would recommend that you do one of the following ideas.
    1) Test it in a small event and a small project.
    Or
    2) Make a copy of your current Event folder and store it someplace safe. Then move everything from the current Event folder into the trash (Clips, cache folders, thumbnails folders, everything). Then empty the trash. Then reimport your video to this same folder.  If it does not work, replace this new folder with your copy.
Please let us know how it goes.

  • How can I update my Adobe photoshop 10 with the 2013 calendar?

My Adobe Photoshop 10 only shows the calendar up to August 2013.  I need it the show the rest of the 2013 year.  How can I get this?

I will make a complete 2013 calendar starting with January 2013 and ending with December 2013.  The calendar templates on the version of Elements 10 that I have only goes to August 2013, so I am missing Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec.

  • How do I update my system software without losing my older Adobe applications?

Hi. I purchased and own InDesign CS5.5, Illustrator 10.0.3 & Photoshop CS6. I want to update my iMac system software which currently runs Mac OS X version 10.6.8. But if I do this, I think it will render my expensive software unuseable.

I cannot reach a real human from Adobe to inquire about my options in this matter. Does anyone have any advice for me?
    Yes, lots
Your suspicion is correct. If you update your OS it is almost guaranteed to keep at least some of your old Adobe apps from functioning. This is especially true if you move to Yosemite. Telling us your target OS is important, because I think much (maybe all?) of your software would still work under Lion, although many people report issues when upgrading the OS while leaving Adobe apps installed.
In your shoes, what I'd do (and what I always recommend) is that you figure out some way to keep Snow Leopard going, to house your old Adobe apps. There are two common ways to do this:
    1) Take a snapshot of your entire Snow Leopard install, back it up to external disk, format your drive, install Yosemite, then install VirtualBox or other virtualization host, and run your Snow Leopard snapshot there. The performance hit on running Snow Leopard as an app inside of Yosemite is not that bad, assuming you have enough RAM. "Enough" here is 16 gigs. It's probably doable at 8, but I can't say for certain.
    2) Split your disk. You can take your current hard drive and split it in half, or some other fraction. Leave Snow Leopard as-is, then install Yosemite on the other half. You can hold down a key at bootup to choose which OS you want to run.
There are plenty of other options, but it's hard to guess what you need if we don't know what other apps you are running, the OS you want to upgrade to, why you're upgrading, and so on.

  • How to reduce image size on photoshop without losing quality

i have a logo that needs to be shrunk. but as soon as i shrink it the image looks pixelated. if i leave it as-is, the website says the size is too big. please advise.
    Dale Mundi

When you reduce its size, you are removing pixels which is one of the reasons it can look pixelated. You could add a slight blur, but that may make it look worse.

  • How can I re-download my game without losing the data?

My data is saved on iCloud, but how do I re-download my games again without starting all over? On my device or desktop?

    Product updates
The above link will take you to the Adobe Product updates site. From there you should be able to find the appropriate download for the version of Lightroom you purchased.
If you purchased the Photographers package subscription for Photoshop CC and Lightroom you would have to download through the Adobe Creative Cloud Application Manager.

  • How can I copy linked properties without losing the link to the control?

I've been dealing with an annoying issue when copying/pasting properties. If the properties are linked to a control when I copy them, they lose that link in the pasted version.
Basically, copy/paste is not really following the expected behavior of "copying" in that the resulting "paste" is different from the item being copied. Is there a way around this besides having to manually go to each one and re-link it?
Below are snippets to demonstrate the problem:

    After Pasting:
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The behavior you're seeing is, unfortunately, not unique to you. It's the way LabVIEW works. Until enough people complain and get NI to change it, that is. Omar's link to the proposed idea is one.
An alternative is to right-click and drag. This creates a copy. At least when you're within the same VI, that is. This, and other nifty tricks can be found in the Quick Reference Card.

  • Is It Possible To Update to iOS 5 Without Losing Content?

    Hi everyone,
My iPhone 3GS was originally synced with my Power Mac G3 iTunes 8.2.1. The hardware was pretty old and wouldn't allow for updates. I have recently purchased the mac mini (mid July 2011) and updated to the latest iTunes, 10.5. I was trying to update my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5 software but iTunes warned me that my music and apps would be lost because it wasn't originally synced with this version of iTunes or something of the sort. How can I update to iOS 5 without losing any apps and my music which wasn't purchased but imported into iTunes 8.2.1?
    Thanks everyone for your help...

Hi miller.p and thanks for responding,
That's a whole nother issue...I have the Power Mac G3 and mac mini connected to one monitor and keyboard using a KVM Switch. I tried using an ethernet crossover cable to transfer the data from the G3 to the mini using Migration Assistant but it says the G3 needs to update to Lion. Mac OS 10.4.11 is the latest software update for the G3.
I have the G3 data backed up on a Western Digital MyBook external HD via firewire 400 but the mini is firewire 800 however, I did see a 9-pin to 6-pin FireWire 800/400 cable by Belkin. Could that be used to transfer the data from the HD to the mini? Sorry if that was too much information...I will check out the link. Thanks...Oh, what about the apps? They are all free downloads, do I have to download them again r does the same apply for them as the music?

  • Transferring Video Files without Losing Project Links

I know this issue must have been addressed in the archives, but I can't seem to find the specific issue.  Hope someone can help.  The online manual is no help.
My C: HDD is filling up with video files, and I'd like to move all video files (and future files) to a new 2TB disk that I have installed dedicated for that purpose.  I intend to leave Premiere Elements 4.0 and my .prel projects in my existinng C: drive.
How do I do this safely, without losing the links between the raw video files and clips inserted in my project??  Thanks.

the Archiver seems straightforward, but I will then have my .prel project on a drive different from the Premiere program.  Somewhere I read that this is possibly unstable.  Any opinions?
Actually, this is preferred. On a two, physical HDD setup, allocation like this is best: Not sure where you saw a rec. to have the Project on the same drive as the program.
C:\ OS, program files, and maybe the Windows Virtual Memory (Page File)*
D:\ Project, Assets and Scratch Disks
If one has a 3 HDD I/O, this would be the best
C:\ OS, program files, and maybe the Windows Virtual Memory (Page File)
    D:\ Project, and Scratch Disks
    E:\ Assets
    * A bit of experimentation might indicate that the Page File does better on another HDD, as far as ultimate performance is concerned. I have two different Page File locations, on two different machines. On one, splitting the statically managed Page File over C:\ and D:\ yielded the best performance, while on another computer, locating it fully on E:\ was best. Just depends, though locating on C:\ will usually be pretty good. For video-editing, I do like to statically manage the Page File, as is explained in this ARTICLE.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
