How do i update to safari?

I was setting up my new MacBook Air and an option to update safari to 6.0.2 came up but I skipped over it thinking I could go back later to update it. Now my macbook is setup but I see no place to update safari. I have version 6.0.1. When I click safari in toolbar I don't see option to update. I also looked for update in App Store under updates but its not there. How can I update it?

Safari wasn't working in my macbook (crashes every time) and I cannot update using Software Updates. You can update to Safari 6:
1. Open command window
2. Copy and paste:
curl -s $(strings /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SoftwareUpdate.framework/SoftwareUpdate | grep http | grep sucatalog) | grep Safari | grep pkg | sed -e s/"<string>"//g -e s/"<\/string>"//g -e s/\ //g
3. Must show valid download URLs. Copy Lion link and paste in your browser.
4. Wait download finish.
5. Execute pkg.

To get a more recent version you need to upgrade OS X. The latest version is installed with Yosemite.

You can't - it the entire operating system or none at all.
Only way to keep your OS is to use a third party web browser - besides firefox - there is also Opera - have been using that with Snow Leopard for about 6 months.

I been using MSN.com as my homepage for some time. Suddenly I cannot access it using the Safari browser on my iMac. Instead I get an MSN "preview" page with a message that I am using an outdated browser. My browser is Safari 5.1.10. I opened the Apple Menu and chose Software Updates, but it does not provide a Safari update. How do I update Safari and what version should I use for OSX 10.6.8?

How to update to Safari 2.0.4??

My update to Safari 2.0.4 failed (probably because I tend to rename my apps with their version number, so the old Safari was named "Safari 2.03", but this is never any problem with iTunes or QuickTime). There was a new app, called Safari (with version number 2.0.4) but I can't get it to run at all. It just bounces a couple of times and then quit. I can still run the older 2.0.3. But how can I update this to 2.0.4?? Or is there a way to download 2.0.4 as a standalone??
The rest of my updates (to 10.4.7) and security fixes worked fine.
I am grateful for any help!!

To get Safari to update to 2.0.4 reinstall Mac OS X 10.4.7 Combined Update that should do it.Remember to run disk premission repair, befor & after.
Make sure all applications are using their original names, and are stored
in their respective folders, to see the version you just click under the application and get the info on version from the "About Safari" etc.
