How do I upgrade from Logic 7 to Logic Studio? It seems to have been removed from the Online Store.
I have been told by the apple store that it is no longer available for purchase, and that I should search the app store, but I can't find it. Any ideas on where I can find the upgrade pack still? Thanks.
It would appear that the way to Upgrade is to Purchase Logic 9 from the Mac Apps Store...

I am based in India, how do i buy from the app store using an indian credit card? The app store is saying that my apple id is valid only for US purchases and that I need a US credit card!

The OS X Lion installer takes more than 4 GB of space, so it is normal for most Internet connections to take the download more than an hour.
If you want to see the download progress, open the Mac App Store and go to Purchases.

How do I delete from the apps store an updated app that was downloaded and shows open? Prior to iso7.2.0 once the app was downloaded it was automatically deleted from the App Store.
You don't.
The update section will continue to show recently updated apps due to the ability to auto download updates.
It effects nothing, just ignore them. -
Hello Apple and the iTunes Windows PC users community.
I am trying to sync films that I have converted from purchased DVD to mp4 format locally, not purchases from the online store. The mp4s all appear and play successfully in my iTunes application but will not sync across to the iPod film library folder.
For your information: I am using iTunes 11.1.3.8 on a Windows 7 64bit machine with 500GB hard disk and 8GB of Ram in the UK.
I have restored the iPod classic 160GB three times now to see if it was a hardware problem with no joy. Each time all the music restores properly as do the podcasts and all the items in TV programmes all appear to sync and work fine.
I have also tried to copy films into the TV Programmes to get around it with no joy. They always go to the films section to start with. It is just the Films library that does not sync - all others work perfectly. As a last resort I have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes with no joy either.
I am technically savvy and have gone through the itunes and ipod settings but nothing appears to make a difference - This is the first time I have had to post here as I can usually solve the majority of the ipod anomilies but this one has me flummoxed.
Has the film encoding type changed in the newest itunes update? - Has this happened to anybody else and is it a hardware, software, or operating system problem.Having uninstalled the current version 11.1.3.8 and loaded and older version of iTunes 10.7.0.21 I can now categorically confirm that the newest update seems to be causing the problem as the films and TV Programmes are syncing perfectly on this older version.
If you are going to do this please dont forget to remove the ' iTunes Library.itl' file as this stops the older versions from running as I've just found out -

I am going through the same process! It is a nightmare doing anything with adobe. They make it as difficult as possible to get a refund and keep asking me if i want anothe program instead of a refund. They are making me jump through all kinds of hoops to get the refund and refuse to call me. They have ZERO customer service and the only reason they stay in business is because they have no real competitors. It's a shame, but I suggest you reprot them to the Better Business Bureau. I did.

When you order a iPod from the online store what packaging does it come in? Does the iPod box come in a box? A bag of some sort? Is there any extra protection? Because I've seen on TV the video of those sorting plants, and they treat those packages like there trying to break whats inside.
Hi! I just received my new 80gb iPod today and it came in an iPod box, and it's very secure in the package. I had no problems with the way Apple packages the iPods.
I'd hope if your ipod came broken Apple would either exchange or refund the item.

I prefer not to purchase my OS X major upgrades from the App Store.
I want media for recovery and peace of mind. I hope the App Store is not the only distribution model for Lion. I do not really want to purchase any significant application from the App Store - iLife, iWork - I want media for all important applications. Please provide a Box Set for Lion with the latest application versions.
Currently you have the right to backup any purchase you buy from the App Store for you to reinstall later if you wish.

Summary
The Mac App Store remembers all apps you purchase with your account. Apps you purchase and install from Mac App Store can also be copied to an external hard drive, USB Flash Drive, CD/DVD, or backed up via Time Machine.
If you save a copy of an app to removable media (such as an external hard drive) or file share, simply drag the app back from its storage location to your Applications folder. When you open the restored app for the first time, you may be required to sign in with the Apple ID account that was used to purchase the app.
If you purchase an App, you can install it on any machine you control with your Apple ID, that is the protection that has been installed to protect theft of the App.
Presumably, Lion will be the same, and Apple will release instructions of how to make it bootable when the software is actually released. -

You can only purchase from the store where you are located, so if you are in Australia you can't buy from the US store. You can make store requests here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html ; but ultimately it's down to the copyrightholder/distributor to make their content available in a particular country, so you could also try contacting the record label as well - or seeing if it's available on other music purchase download sites in Australia.

How to buy a MacBook Pro from the Online Store
Well, I'm Indian, and apple does not have an apple store in India(not even an online one). I need the new MacBook pro with 16 Gigs of ram in it.
I do regularly travel to Australia and am considering buying one from their online store. But it asks for an AUSTRALIAN CARD. Did I just get something wrong or I need an Australian Credit card(if that's the case, I'm screwed). Also can I use an international credit card or am I done for????You could also try contacting an Apple retail store in Australia and see what their policy is for an in-store purchase and if you can reserve a unit for when you are traveling there.

Has anyone found a way of hyperlinking Pages 5.0 docs on Maverick? Made extensive use of hyperlinking many Pages docs together. On opening my Pages docs in Pages 5.0, get advisory dialogue box stating 'Spotlight data has been removed' and the doc opens fine, but the 'upgrade' file transformation has apparently removed a whole lot more. Will have to migrate all my data to another app if this is no longer possible. Painful. Time consuming. Hoping there is a solution/patch available shortly.
And there are those who don't like me repeating the same message over and over again in this forum!

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5, after Exporting your files to Pages '09, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.
