How do I upgrade music to DRM free so I can play on my Sonos?

How do I upgrade itune music to DRM free so I can play on my Sonos?

I use dropbox.com to edit my website from multiple computers. It's free for up to 2GB of storage.
Install dropbox on all the computers you will edit from and then keep your domain file in dropbox. Any file that is edited on any computer is updated on all the other computers.
By default your domain file is located in your user/library/application support/iWeb folder. Just copy it to the dropbox and double click on the file in dropbox to begin editing that file. Keep your file backed up frequently as all your edited work is in this one file. If you lose this file you will have to start from scratch unless you keep backups.
Only one person can edit the file at a time. If you edit the file from two locations at the same time your file will become corrupted.
I have never had any problems using dropbox to edit from multiple computers.
Sincerely, David

  • Mac formatted iPod (DRM free content) - convert to play on Windows Media Pl

I have converted all of my iTunes songs to m4a RDRM free formats. Now I want to connect my Mac-formatted iPod to my work Windows PC and transfer the music files so Windows Media Player can play them. I have seen several cumbersome solutions and I do not want to install iTunes on my Windows box. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Bob Ess

If your iPod is formatted for Mac it won't run natively on a PC because Windows operating systems don't recognize Mac OS-formatted disks (HFS or HFS Plus formats). Mac formatted iPods can only be used on a PC that has a third party helper program such as XPlay or MacDrive installed

  • Trying to figure out how to change the tuning of certain notes so I can play notes in between pitches for example the middle note between B

Trying to figure out how to change the tuning of certain notes so I can play notes in between pitches for example the middle note between B & C or E & F. I can use different tracks if needed but I would prefer to know how to do it for individual notes as well. They have to be exactly in the middle so it's not out of tune.

    Danny,
The theme to Doctor Who is in 12/8. In music theory, there's no such thing as a 12th note, the notation and nomenclature is all based on things being divisible by four. So for the diddly-dum feel to happen, you have to give the beat to a quarter note plus another eighth note -- we call it a dotted quarter note, and now you have three eighth notes per beat so you can go diddly. So, since you can't call the time signature 12/dotted quarter, you call it 12/8 and go faster. Make sense? Anyway, for GB's purposes, all you need to know is that you'll get that feel by choosing 12/8.

How do I export an event in iMovie so it can play DVD player? I am trying to export to a DVD in DVD format without any success an event from iMovies. I was only able to get it to export to my desktop as a .m4v file. The movie of my daughter I need to export to DVD so it can be sent as a DVD to people and played on a DVD player. Any assistance you can provide would be helpful.

When you preview the image from the save for web dialog box, it will open your browser to see the image. It also will have the necessary html code needed for the links to work. Just copy that html code and add it to your email code with the image.

  • How do I upgrade from 7.7 to 8.0 - Can't see in available upgrades S370

How do you upgrade an Ironport S370 to version 8.x ?
We have been advised to update ours to version 8.x however I cannot see anyway of doing this as it's not in avaialable updates the latest we can see is 7.7.0-761 which we are now running.
I've looked everywhere but can find little information on how to do it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Call TAC, ask to be provisioned.  8.x is still "FCS" (First Customer Ship), not "GA" (General Availability) so you have to request it.

  • How do I record music from Itunes to a dvd to play on a Sony DVD player dvp sr500h?

How do I record music from Itunes to a dvd, that shows it is finishing but will not play on my hardrive or on a Sony DVD player, dvp sr500H?

If you are burning a DVD directly from iTunes (a feature which is present in older versions of iTunes but which was removed in iTunes 10.4), that creates a computer-type DVD for backup only and cannot play in any DVD player I know of. If you want to create a disk that can play in a DVD player, you'll need to burn an audio CD, an MP3 CD if the player will accept MP3 CDs, or use some other software.
    Regards.

I have just downloaded itunes 10.6 and in the process my "podcast" option under library has disappeared! THe files are still on my laptop. I can also see some of my recorded music in the itunes library but can't play them - there is an exclamation mark next to each track. Visibility of the Podcasts section is controlled from within the Edit > Preferences dialog.
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
    Missing tracks
Typically this can happen because a file or folder is accidentally shunted to the wrong location. iTunes can also get confused if it expects to be talking to an external drive which isn't there. If will often reset the default media folder location and may have trouble finding files in the old folders.
Select one of your tracks that is missing in action. Press CTRL-I to Get Info. Cancel when asked to try to locate the file, then look at the location given on the summary tab. This where iTunes thinks the file ought to be? Now find out where it actually is. Post back the two locations for comparison. I should be able to give you some steps to reconnect everything once I can determine which of the things that might have gone wrong is most likely in your case.
When you get it all working make a backup!

  • How do you transfer music from the computer to your mp3 playe

does any body know how to transfer music from your computer to your mp3 player coz i cant do it ??

easiest way is to use the nomad explorer download available under support/downloads for your mp3 player.
then you just drag and drop from a file you have music on your PC to the mp3 player .
just in case,,, to drag and drop means to click the left mouse button over a mp3 file or individual song and while holding down the left mouse button you drag the file over to the mp3 player icon or folder, then let go of the left mouse button.

  • I have created a slideshow using i Photo. How do I burn it to disc so that I can play it on my DVD?

I have created a slideshow using i Photo.
How do I burn it to disc to play on a DVD.
    I cannot access i DVD.
    Is this the problem?
I have exported the slideshow as a movie quick time file.
    What do I do next???

If your Mac is a new one, like mine, then it comes with a version of iLife that doesn't have iDVD and if so, there isn't an easy way to burn a DVD from iPhoto or iMovie that will play on a normal DVD player.  There is quite a bit of correspondence about this, but I couldn't find a good answer, apart from this:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/18460085#18460085
I ended up buying (via Amazon) a boxed version of iLife11, which has all the same software I already have, but with a copy of iDVD with it.
Seems to work well with iMovie, but at the moment, my copy of iPhoto has crashed - see:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/18943719#18943719
Having only just transferred from a Windows machine to a Mac, it seems incredibly arrogant for Apple to think people don't use DVD players anymore.

  • My MIS professor is using firefox on a mac and cannot play a video that I put on my google site, how do I fix or recreate a video that he can play?

I am not a firefox user, so would downloading firefox be the first step?

The solution was embarrassingly simple: I whitelisted YouTube in Flashblock.
Which doesn't solve all the mysteries - why didn't YouTube work when I started Firefox in safe mode? Why did I never have to whitelist YT before? - but, mission accomplished.
I'm glad this is here for the next person to find, in case it's helpful.

  • Remove drm so can play itunes on sonos

I purchased a Sonos wirelsss s[eaker with bridge - will not access "protected" files - thus I am unable to play this music

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    Restart your mobile device.

  • How to repurchase music to get DRM-free versions

I have a few tracks which I bought from iTunes in the time when they were protected by DRM. I now want to change these to DRM-free versions, but can't find a way to do this. As there are only 7 tracks, iTunes match is not sensible as it costs more than the cost of the tracks themselves. I would be happy enough to re-purchase them, but can't find a way to do this.
I tried deleting one track from my iTunes library, but in the iTunes store it still showed in my purchases and not in the "not on my computer" list, so I was unable to buy it again. (I restored it later from my iPod.)
Is there any way to remove a track both from the library and purchase history, so that it can be purchased again?

    NSH,
There used to be a program to upgrade individual tracks for 30 cents (USA) each, but it was discontinued in 2012.
So if you don't prefer Match, here are your options:
Burn to audio CD and rip back as MP3.
If you really want to re-buy, buy them from Amazon Digital Music or Google Play Music and add them to your iTunes library.
