How do I upgrade Safari?  I have Snow Leopord with Safari 5.1.10 now.
Thanks

You must upgrade the Mac OS to use any higher version of Saari than what you have. Mac Minis made before March 2009 can run no higher than OS 10.6.8 or, in some cases, OS 10.7.5. It would help us to know what variant of the Mini you have so we can make upgrade recommendations.
If you are encountering web pages or functions that you cannot use because your Safari is too old, the simplest action is to switcher browsers to FireFox. It runs perfectly on OS 10.6.8 and is seen as a supported browser by the vast majority of web sites. Get it here:

Since neil is recommending an upgrade to 10.6, you must have an intel processor.
    in that case, TenFourFoxIntel.

I have a fairly new imac osX version 10.6.8. How do I know if I have snow leapard?

You do, since "Snow Leopard" is the code for 10.6. If you had 10.7, you'd have Lion. 10.5 was Leopard.

How do I upgrade Safari on my laptop?

If you're running a Safari version older than 5.1.10, run the Software Update pane of System Preferences as many times as needed.
If you're running 5.1.10, you need to upgrade the computer's OS. Open the Mac App Store and try downloading Mavericks. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

How can I upgrade from OS X Snow Leopard to OS X Lion?

Well Mt Lion is the latest, but if your machine can't do 10.8, then call Apple via phone and order 10.7
However you really need to do your homework first, as a lot of software and drivers could stop in 10.7, no Rosetta like in 10.6, could cost you plenty.

how do I upgrade os x 10.6.8 with a 1gb mac mini to something higher (eg LION 10.7)?

Only the 2009 and newer  Mac Minis can go higher than Lion
The 2006 can only go to Snow Leopard
The 2007 only goes to Lion
For > Lion you need at least 2G, more than 4 is highly recommended

Hi I have the old photo shop elements 10 on my computer and want to update and was wondering what the differences between photoshop, lightroom and photoshop elements are?
Also when I upgrade does it have to be with a monthly membership or can I just purchase the product out right like you use to be able?

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.
The Photoshop Elements forum is at:
    https://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements/content
Remember, you are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.  You are requesting help from volunteers users just like you who give their time free of charge. No one has any obligation to answer your questions.
I do not know where there is such a comparison table as you seek, but someone else might, or you can google.

At the moment, you cannot upgrade a PSE13 catalog to Lightroom. Perhaps when Lightroom 5.7 is released, this will be possible (and perhaps not)

Connect the iOS device to your computer and try to make a backup ( I doubt you can)

Then restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:

    To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:

Hmmm, Norton extensions are broken again in Firefox 4.0.1. It seems that Norton didn't allow for Firefox 4.0 security updates when they updated their Firefox extension for Firefox 4.0. Norton says they'll have a fix in two weeks. A Norton user posted a fix in this forum thread.

To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase a redemption code at the Online Apple Store: OS X Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. Use the code to redeem a download of Mountain Lion from the App Store. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download.
