How do I upgrade the plug-ins in Adobe Indesign ??

Can someone tells me how to do that ? Because I get messages that the plug-ins has to be updated...

It looks like the plug-ins used for one or more of your InDesign documents is not compatible. For instance if someone created an InDesign document with a more recent version of a plug-in or plug-ins and/or used a more recent version of InDesign. My suggestion would be to post your question on the InDesign forum as they are more likely to have the answer as front he looks of your screenshot those may be regular plug-ins that come with InDesign but I do not know for sure.

That file was created in a later version of InDesign. You are now 6 versions out of date and saving back to CS3 is going to be nearly impossible.
To upgrade you’ll probably need a new computer.

How do I find the plug-ins folder for Adobe Reader?

I download a subscription pdf from ANSI on an older G4 in January. I recently upgraded to a MacBook Pro i7. ANSI sent me a link to File Open but I need to check the Plug ins to make sure that they loaded. Using get info does not reveal a pull down menu for plug ins.

You can control - click on the Adobe Reader.app and show package content, as well.

My version is the middle eastern version and i don't want my punctuations to go to the start of the sentence. Also, i went to preferences>type and i can't find the text engine option so i'm lost right now.

Try Mail Preferences/Junk tab and under " When Junk Mail Arrives" click Performe Custom Action then advanced
you will see the option for colors.

Plug-Ins are not Presets. You need to install Plug-in into CC just like you had to install Plug-ins into CS6.

Please download the plug ins and upload them into the /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in.
You can do it from frontend through SAINT tcode, this will automatically uncar the files and place it in the
/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in directory.
Then you have to apply the plugins from SAINT.

No one is likely to recommend where you buy your software from other than Adobe in these forums... not so much because of support for Adobe, but mostly because of lack of support/knowledge of any third party vendors. I only know from experience that when you invest in bargain pricing you usually get what you pay for.

You will need to uninstall, run the Cleaner tool and reinstall you adobe applications. Adobe apps don't take kindly to inplace updates of the OS on Macs.

How do I fix 'lost' plug-ins in the AU Manager?

I am running Logic 8 and I have had no problems until I noticed today that many, about 30, plug-ins seem to be missing. They are still loaded on my computer and ProTools sees all of them but Logic does not, even in the AU Manager, which used to see them.
Amplitube, T-Racks, Blue Cat, among others are now gone. I noticed this is Toast as well.
What can I do please!? I am in dire need now.

I have run disc check. Since I have Logic 8 I did not use 64 bit mode. I do not think that is an option in this version but if I am wrong I have not altered any of those settings.
PT sees the plug-ins in its own format of RTAS and VST - I have a convertor, but Logic is not seeing it in its format of AU.
I have only found 1 Component folder and it is nearly empty now! I have no idea how this is so.

Upgraded to iLife '08. Where do I put the plug-ins to iMovie?

I invested in several plug-ins to previous iMovie (Slick Volume 1-8, eZedia, etc) They're residing in user/Library/iMovie/.
Now I upgraded to '08 but can't find a way to import the plug-ins which makes all projects (8 right now) and about 3 months night work go out the drain.
Or are they not even compatible???????

Tack för hjälpen. I still have iMovie 6.0.4 (thank God, the installation of iLife'08 backed it up for me) so I'm really not in the predicament I hinted about in my quesion above.
I know I should have checked this up earlier. But it's still extremely annoying when a software manufacturer doesn't bother to highlight an issue like this during installation of updates and upgrades since the user rarely think about it (too excited about new software) and since plug-ins more often than not actually work even after installation of the new software...
Ah well.... I suppose this is stuff one has to live with. Thanks for info anyway.

In CS4, "Cannot open file" "Please upgrade your plug-ins..."

I am using InDesign CS4 on a PC. I am trying to open an .indd file created by our marketing department. I don't know what version of InDesign they use nor whether they work on Macs or PCs.
When I double-click to open the file, I get a "Cannot Open File" popup box. The box reads "Cannot open docname.indd. Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest versions, or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign." It then lists 18 different plugins:
ASSIGNMENTS.RPLN
TEXT.RPLN
SPREAD.RPLN
MASTER PAGE.RPLN
TEXT ATTRIBUTES.RPLN
.... and 13 more.
When I go to Help > Configure Plug-Ins, I can see that I do have all of these plug-ins. But apparently they are not the latest versions.
Anyone know how I can update these plugins? I have searched for them on the Adobe website, but no joy.

It's a safe bet that they are working in CS5. The only way to get those plugins is to install CS5 on your machine.
You could ask your marketing department to export an IDML file from CS5, which you can open up in CS4, but it might fail horribly (and it's guaranteed to lay out incorrectly if they've used any tools in CS5 that aren't in CS4). If you rely on this workflow, by regularly using a document going back and forth between CS5 and CS4, chances are very, very good that it will fail at a critical moment. The only really safe thing to do here is to get everyone using the same version of InDesign.
