How do I upgrade to Airport Utility to v7.5.2

I've repeatedly get:

I don't know for a fact what it means or what it's for but, after some research, the general consensus has made it quite clear that I need to upgrade Airport Utility to v7.5.2.
The problem is that I can't seem to find it. This upgrade, apparently, was available well before Lion came out.
Currently, I has v6.0.
If there is a known issue with Airport that promted newer versions to be released, then why can I not update to the latest version available?
A direct reply would be nice. Simply send me a message though Apple Support, if possible, or [email protected], or simply reply on this forum and , I hope, I should get a notification.

There are so many log files.. I could not find where it actually belonged but thru the "All Mesages" option in the left pane, I found this line:

After upgrading to Airport Utility 6.3 Netflix will not load more than 20 % of any movie. I get an error code N8202 from the netflix website but nothing seems to help.

Well, that was why I was puzzled in the first place, but Netflix couldn't find any flaws in their system (I tried the suggestions in the link Shawn Grinter 2 posted (thanks to you as well, Shawn)).
But today everything is perky and running smooth without me doing anything about it.
Stranger than fiction, but thanks again for taking time helping!

How do I configure the Airport Utility (AU) to allow more than one rule per port?
I am on a home network, with broadband cable modem. I have my airport extreme connected to the broadband modem. I have 2 servers in my home that need to be accessed remotely from time (SSH), and they also serve data for an iphone app, so I'm using a variety of protocols. The problem I'm running into is that AU seems to only allow one rule per protocol, so if I go to add another address for access on a specific port that is being used by one of my servers, AU tells me "The Port Mapping Entry Already Exists".
I need to be able to allow SSH on both of my servers, for instance. Am I missing something? Is this doable with AU?

The Port Mapping "rules" on the AirPorts will allow you to: 1. Map a single port to a single IP address OR 2) Map multiple ports to a single IP address.
What you won't be able to do is map a single or multiple ports to multiple IP addresses.

Coverage limited after upgrading of Airport Utility software

I've recently upgraded my airport utility software to 7.41 and have been having problem since in accessing the net from my room and sitting hall (no signal) which i don't have any problem all these while. I've tried resetting the airport, re-installing the software but to no avail. It's also causing an interference to my satelite TV as well. would really appreciate if someone can hlp me out.

More than likely installing the firmware caused the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) to use the "Automatic" channel selection. Most people find that frequently this does not select the best channel. Change it from "Automatic" and try channels until you find one which works better.

Only one variant of the PowerMac G4 could use the faster Airport Extreme Card. The rest used the original Airport card that is pretty slow.

There are USB solutions also. However, all PowerMac G4 towers had only slower USB 1.1 ports, so any USB wireless adaptor can only run at about wireless 'B" speeds (slow) unless you also install a PCI USB 2.0 adaptor card. Doing that would allow a USB wireless adaptor to run at its maximum rated speed. These items working together would accomplish that:

Each approach has its advantages. The PCI wireless card is a one-piece solution that takes up no desk space. The USB2 card+USB2 Dongle gives you more fast ports for transferring date from other external USB devices (primarily cameras and external hard drives) at hugely faster rates than can the original ports. imac running 10.7.5.
network off comcast modem to airport extreme base station with 2 airport express as extenders.
controlled the expresses with airport utility 5.6. had airport 6.1 as well.
now ran the upgrade to 6.2 and can't control any of the airports.
all missing under 5.6.
open under 6.2 and see "previously part of your network" grayed out.
luckily have another mac where i can still control them
but what to do on this imac??
time machine won't overwrite with 6.1 in the backups.

be sure to hold dmg over the icon. after see it on desktop, rename it and drag to applications folder.
turn off then back on your wifi. then launch the 5.6 version, my expresses and extreme reappeared.

How to downgrade firmware using Airport Utility 6.0?

Found descriptions for how to do it using older versions of the Airport Utility.
In the current version 6.0 of Airport Utility running in Lion, all the manual setup options appear to be gone. No option for downgrading firmware I can find either.
Having the dreaded "disk spins up every few seconds" issue with the TC 7.6.1 firmware. Want to try downgrading to 7.5.2 - am told that will fix the problem before the disk destroys itself.

Hold down the option key.. when you select the different firmware.. it will then offer all that are available..
The very latest TC will not allow you to downgrade beyond 7.6.0 for some reason.. although the first of the Gen4 were sold with 7.5.2 if it didn't come with that level firmware it might not be able to go back to it.
Have you totally isolated the TC from the network.. reset it.. does the disk still spin up and down.. if so return for warranty exchange.. it is faulty. Otherwise start plugging in computers.. or connecting by wireless. give it a new wireless name.. add devices one by one until you find which is causing constant disk access. You might need to then do a reinstall to rid that device of the issue that is affecting the TC.

I would take your machine into a Apple service center. Its highly likely a hardware issue. The most likely issue being the display has failed. If there is no external damage to the machines display they will replace the whole display under warranty for you.

How to downgrade firmware without Airport Utility?

Since updating my Express firmware to 7.5.x I have not been able to connect to the internet.
After factory resets I am not even able to connect to the Express through Airport Utility even though it see's the router.

You can't. Try a factory default reset on the AX again as follows:
Power it off for 30 minutes
Hold in the reset button and while you continue to hold it in, plug the AX back in to power
Keep holding the reset button until you see the amber light begin to blink more quickly and hold another 3-4 seconds when you see this and then release
Allow 40-45 seconds for the AX to restart until the amber light is blinking slowly. Then, temporarily connect an ethernet cable to the AX from your computer. Restart your computer and Open AirPort Utility - Manual Setup
Click directly on the word "Version" (3rd line) and you will be able to choose the firmware version you want.
There's no guarantee this will work, of course, if there is some other internal issue on the AX.

Suggest that you download and install AirPort Utility 5.6 for Mac OS X Lion to get the functionality that you need. Keep both 5.6 and 6.0 on your Mac and use the one that you want.
AirPort Utility was available on the same day....January 30....as AirPort Utility 6.0, but apparently a number of users missed this.

Sorry, but no. You will not be able to configure the AirPort without the AirPort Utility. Unlike other routers, the AirPorts do NOT have a web-based administration interface.

I am trying to view my FOSCAM cameras over the internet while away from home. They work fine in my house using Wi-Fi. Instructions say to do port forwarding. I have cameras set up, but can't get my router to port forward. I found "Port Forwarding" in Airport Utlility then NETWORK. 'Router mode: DHCP and NAT';on 'Port Settings I click on the "+" at the bottom. 'Private IP Address: populates to 10.0.1.201'. What goes in the other blocks?

Please check out the following AirPort User Tip for details on how to configure Port Mapping on the AirPort routers. I would suggest that you check your FOSCAM documentation as to what TCP and/or UDP ports are required to access their IP cameras from a remote location.

Bottom line: I don't believe it's possible to use your old AirPort Express with Mountain Lion. The current AirPort Utility is 6.3.1.
I'm assuming you have this one (from around 2004):

How do I tell what version airport express I have? Airport Utility says this version does not support this base station. What to do, how to update?

I tried to add an older airport express to my network that I had not been using. It shows up in Airport Utility but Airport Utility says that this version of Airport Utility Dies not support this base station. I am running airport utility V6.3.4 on a mac mini running OS X 10.10. Not sure which airport express it is, nor how to check. I assume I need a firmware upgrade on the Airport Express, but not sure how to do this without Airport Utility. I tried to download an older version of Airport Utility, but could not install because it does not support OS X 10.10 Any ideas other than throwing a perfectly good airport express away?

Don't throw the AE away. It is still very useful as I have both the old & new each work well (sometimes the sound keeps dropping out but I think that has to do with the wirless settings!!!)
You need Airport Utility 5.6.1 which works in 10.10 - I managed to download a .dmg from the net but not sure how I could get it to you.
The new utility doesn't support the old AEs unfortunately which I have and Apple have no intention of allowing a utility that will cover all
AEs.
Try and get a version 5.6.1.
