How do I upload 14,000+ photos saved on my iPod/ iPad to PC after the hard drive died

How do I upload 14,000+ photos that I saved to my iPod and iPad. I have uploaded back on the computer my apps, music, iPad taken pics, but not sure how to get my original collection of photos back to the computer.

To get those pictures off the iPhone you're going to have to use a 3rd party application such as eCamm's Megaphone:

• How do I deactivate DreamWeaver when the hard drive died?

How do I deactivate DreamWeaver when the hard drive died? It will not reinstall on the new PC because it wants the old one deactivated, which is impossible. There is no way I can deactivate it and I have a legitimate copy. I had it on one PC that died, so I bought a new PC and put it on that. A few days later I had to return the new one because of problems with the PC. They give me a replacement which seems to be working OK, only now Adobe thinks I have DreamWeaver all over the place. I don't have it anywhere. All I want to do is put my legitimate copy on my new PC. HELP!!!

You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues. They can take care of the deactivation for the lost drive. Chat operates 24/7.

My Computer Hard Drive crashed before I could back up my Sync Key or add another device. How can I get My bookmarks from my sync account without resetting the sync key and wiping my data?

Not from Mozilla. Nobody knows your Sync Key except for you.
Is that hard drive usable at all? Like as an external disk in a USB hard drive enclosure?
If so, you can recover your Firefox data from that drive.
• How can I install Lion back on my mac, after the hard drive was replaced?

I had my hard drive replaced, by warranty. Guys in service centre installed 10.6.7 , but as my mac is a new one, and was eligible for free install of Lion. Unfortunately I didn't use time machine, so i don't have a back-up on software (I guess it's included in Time Machine). I have tried to download Lion from the Apple store application - it says - The file got somehow corrupted, and didn't run the installation. I have tried to download t once again - AppleStore app said it's installed already - And I couldn't download it again. I've decided to reinstall MacOS from DVD's I got with my mac and to try again. Now AppStore offers me to buy it! But it's supposed to be free, just because I had it installed already, isn't it? I wrote an email in Hardware up-to-date program, hope they'll help, but my mac was bought almost half a year ago.. What else can i do? Can somebody give me any advice, please?

You bought your Mac after Lion came out? Right?
You then upgrade from snow Leopard (10.6.x) to Lion (10.7.x), correct? How did you do the upgrade the first time?
You had to logon to the Apple Mac store and use your purchase date and serial number to get the free upgrade the first time. Just do that again.
Maybe not through the App store? Maybe through Apple Support after logging into your account and viewing your registered products?

• How to get things working after External Hard Drive Died

I had all of my iMovie videos (about 800 GB) on an external drive that died. Fortunately it was backed up to another external drive using Time Machine. I bought a new drive and couldn't figure out how to restore using Time Machine so i transfered the files manually using Finder. The transfer was successful, but now the movies do not appear in the iMovie event library. How do I get iMovie to work with the new external hard drive. The drive itself appears in the Event Library window, but none of the movies do. Then I also need to figure out how to back up the movies again to Time Machine. When it looks to do it now, it wants to duplicate the moveis which exceeds the Time Machine hard drive capacity (2TB). Thanks!!

For you to see them in iMovie, the Events need to be in a folder called iMovie Events. This folder must be at the top level of the drive.
Move it there and restart iMovie, and you should see them.

• How do I get rid of myself and other users and just be working from the hard drive?

Hi all,
I know this sounds odd, but bear with me...
I've just bought a new Macbook pro 10.7.4, as my loved old one died. At the store they tranferred all my old info to the new one, but my problem is this: Now I am a user on my computer and there are options for shared users. That sounds confusing, but on my old computer it was just me using it. No sign in or log in, and when I opened my finder window everything was just there in the one bucket (my hard drive): library, apllications, programs, etc. Now I open my finder window and find duplicates of things in all places( i.e. things on my hard drive are also (or not, maddeningly, such as library) there, and then they are also in users or shared.) It is only ever me using my computer, so I don't need all this extra clutter everywhere, or have to go searching for things in different places. Old system was like opening a drawer and finding all your posessions neatly arranged in there, in the one place. Now i feel as though I walk into a room filled with cupboards and things are in some drawers that are also in others, and duplicated.
I apologise for my long rant, but I had to find a way to explain it!
Basically, I want to get rid of other user or shared options on my mac, and myself as a user, and just have the one system staright off the hard drive, no other log ins, but still obviously retain my permissions (password etc) for making changes or installing. Is this possible?

Well, you're going to have two Library folders - one for yourself and one for the System, but you can delete other users and you can enable automatic log-in for yourself using "Users and Groups" in System Preferences. No need to turn on Sharing or have any other users. You'll still need to make yourself an administrator, of course, but if you delete any other users, you delete their home folders, too.

• Hello. I have MacBook Pro. I have 30,000 photos on iPhoto which is not on the hard drive but on an external hard drive. I have purchased a 2nd external hard drive and I would like to make a copy of my iphoto library onto it. I cant get this to work.

I have MacBook Pro. I have my iPhoto library on external hard drive only. It has 30,000 photos on it. I have bought a 2nd external hard drive and would like to copy my iPhoto library onto it as a back up. I tried plugging both in and dragging the iPhoto library into the 2nd external harddrive. It looked as though it was working as it said 20 hours, however I then got a message box saying FiNader could not complete the task due to incompatible files. How do I do this please.

Yes, you should format the HD.
A Mac can natively write to a NTSF drive and that is what most drives com formatted with.
You should use the Mac journaled format.
Once again you are posting incorrect information
Until we know what format the drive is it is impossible to state that it must be formatted - that is just a guess
And a Mac can not Natively write to an NTSF drive - it can natively read it but can not write to it with special software
And since formatting a drive erases it it is critical to tell users not to format until they have a positively known good backup
The TOU for these forum state that you should test your answers prior to posting them -- you obviously are not doing that and you advice is endangering users photos - please only post tested answers

• How do I sync my iCloud photos and music to my iPad?

How do I sync my iCloud photos and music to my iPad?

Welcome to the Apple Community Bendy One.
For photos, settings > iCloud > photos > on.
For music, you can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.

• How to reload my library after replacing hard drive

I have a 4G iPod nano. I think its probably second generation, but I'm not positive and not sure how to find out. I'm running Windows XP on a Compaq laptop.
The hard drive in my computer went bad and I had to replace it. Now my iTunes library is empty and the only option I'm given is to replace the library on the iPod with the one in iTunes (the empty one). I don't want to lose my songs, but I don't know how to get them back into my library. Since iTunes wasn't affected by the bad hard drive, I copied my entire library from its folder on the old hard drive onto an external hard drive. I tried placing all of that into the same folder on the new hard drive, but iTunes still shows me an empty library.
How can I get my songs back into my library so that I can get more tunes and sync again?

Had same problem and this thread really saved me. Here was my issue and your thread fixed it. Thanks
So I brought my PC in to a local shop that added an internal HD for me. They moved MY Music folder with the iTunes library to another drive (the new one). I open iTunes and nothing is there. How do I get the library with all my music and ringtones back into iTunes. I have searched here and other forums and only talks about moving library away to aother places. I have no trouble with it being on the new drive just want iTunes to see it. This has to be easy and I hope someone can help me. Thanks. I have windows XP if that matters. I can find the iTunes folder with all the music on what is now the D drive.
Signed, affraid to synch my iPhone until the library is back to normal

• Hard drive died, how do I re-establish a published calendar- from .mac?

I had (have) a published calendar on ical 1.5.5 on a workstation iMac. The hard drive died, but I can still acess the calendar from other workstations. A new hard drive is installed, and now I can subscribe to the calendar but not modify it. How can I regain control and make it a published calendar on my workstation again?
Thanks

Hi,
Subscribe to the calendar, then export it (File > Export). Save the exported copy. Delete the subscribed calendar in iCal. Follow these instructions to un-publish the calendar from your .Mac account. Import the saved version and re-publish it.

• How hard is it to replace the hard drive on a 21.5 inch iMac.

My iMac is telling me the hard drive is failing. After a web search, I discovered that you need suction cups to take off the glass to replace the drive. I'm adjust wondering how hard it is to do? I'm Fairly mechanically inclined, so I think I can do it myself. I'd just like to know how tricky it is.

If this is a new 2011 iMac, you can't replace the hard drive except by Apple as they have proprietary software installed on hard drives to monitor the status.
Very likely it's not, as you would be making a warranty call instead of trying to replace it yourself.
However, the info is out there to keep in mind when you buy a new iMac.

• How do I upload a single photo to a website?, how do I upload a single photo to a website?

how do I upload a single photo to a website?

Probably using the first of these - but hey, that question is so vague it's impossible to say
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

I have Photoshop Elements 10. How do I upload all my photos and albums to Adobe Revel?

Elements 10 does not have a direct interface with Revel. You can upload from your computer to revel via adoberevel.com, via the revel app if you use Win8 or Mac, or via an upgrade to Elements 11 or 12. (Elements 11 has upload/download ability, Elements 12 has mobile albums that stay in sync)

• Iphoto does not support the resolution of my dslr camera...how do i upload full resolution photos?

iphoto does not support the resolution of my dslr camera...how do i upload full resolution photos?

You actually need to give information to get help - just stating an abstract problems (which is most certainly not a problem at all) gives the volunteers hearer nothing to work with to help you
What version of iPhoto? Of the OS? What exactly is the problem (iPhoto does support the resolution of your camera so that is NOT a problem)? what exactly are you doing? What error messages do you get? why do you incorrectly think that iPhoto does not support full resolution?
At this time your question is like my car won't start - why not? Could be anything from you did not put the key jun to being out of gas to having the engine stolen - no way to tell anything - except that the problem you claim is not true (at least in my example I would know that the car did not start)
