To follow up on the suggestion to use iCab Mobile, this is copied from their FAQ website. I made the type at the end bold for emphasis.

Why are there issues uploading files?
As of iOS 6 and later the web engine of the iOS has native support for uploading photos and videos from the photo album. Uploading other files is not supported by the web engine. Under iOS 5, the web engine does not have any support for uploads at all.
In order to upload other files than photos and videos from the photo album, iCab Mobile can provide its own file upload capability by replacing the original file select button (which only allows selecting photos and videos) by its own file select button (which allows to select other files as well). This way iCab is able to upload all kinds of files, in addition to photos. But there are limits. iCab's own file select button can not get access to the JavaScript "file" and "FileReader" API, and therefore upload forms which rely on these APIs do not work in iCab Mobile when uploading other files than photos.
In the Settings of iCab Mobile ("Network" settings) you can configure if iCab should use the upload capabilities of the iOS or the one from iCab Mobile.
Using the upload capabilities of the iOS will work on almost all web pages but is limited to photos and videos from the photo album and is only working under iOS 6 and later. Using iCab's own upload capability will allow to upload all file types, even under iOS 5, but it can not work on all web sites.

Buy a portable wi-fi router with file sharing such as MOCREO 5-in-1 Portable WiFi (not personaly vouching for this one it just happens to be the one I have and it cost less than the apple connection cables).
Plug your USB stick into the router
Connect your ipad via wi-fi to the router.
Log into the routers built in file managment or use any FTP capable app to connect (GoodReader, ifiles, etc)
Transfer files.

If you want to open it confirm that you do. You will not be asked that question again after the first time you open it
Unless you are keeping Firefox in the .dmg it was downloaded in. That is to say, if you obtained Firefox in a .dmg, and you have kept the .dmg mounted, and are launching Firefox from the mounted .dmg, then you will ALWAYS get that warning. You should copy Firefox from the mounted .dmg to your Applications Folder (or anywhere you prefer), and then eject the mounted .dmg. Unless you need to install Firefox on another system, you can then delete the .dmg.

Wow my luck. Unfortunally my backup file is corrupt :/. i was thinking is it possible to put my music on my computer via copytrans or other software then transfer my purchases on my ipad like apps. Then restore my ipad so that the other authorization is gone then transfer my music to itunes then register my ipad to my new computer then sync? Every single time I launch Firefox 20 under Mac OS X 10.7.5 I get the click-thru warning message "'Firefox' is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?". How do I stop this? There are internet postings and previous postings about solving this using Terminal commands for OS X 10.5.x & 10.6.x, but these commands do NOT work in 10.7.x or 10.8.x. This seems to be a Firefox ONLY issue, and solving it by globally turning off OS X security features as recommended before in a previously closed thread seems like a really BAD solution. Is there a "Firefox only" solution, or will I just have to stop using Firefox?

I had upgraded to Firefox 20 using the automatic update process, so the last time I'd downloaded a .dmg and manually installed Firefox was a long time ago. I trashed Firefox 20, downloaded a new .dmg and manually transferred to Applications folder and this persistent message ended. I assume if I'd ever launched from the open .dmg the same error message would result, so the fix offered was a solution even though the cause was something different since I only used the automatic update process and never manually handled Firefox .dmg downloads.

It appears that this extension is related to the ipad app 'notability'. It would have to be exported as a pdf or rtf file to be opened.
You can do some googling, but might be better if the sender converts the file to something more common and sends again.

to offer at last a few remarks:
• video files are huge.. check your contract, how much webspace your provider offers you.. (1 GB as a start)
• due to size, your guests will generate lots of traffic/bandwidth.. check your contract, how much traffic your provider allows you.. (a few GBs per months)
• the usual dilemma - what codec? YouTube made flv popular (=compatible with 99% of computers, 0% compatible with smart-phones and iPads..); actually, we're (and YT..) in transition to html5, which allows the more lean and 'better' h264 codec.. but do your guests use 'modern' browsers as Safari/FF/GC...? Do you have to offer a 'switch', flv/new? ...
• you have to upload your encoded files to your web-host, add some lines of code which generates a 'player'-experience (= tons of advice and free downloads around the net...); 'link' the code to your site-folders containing the videos - done.
• webspace and traffic
• decision to encode in what ..
• encoding video, probably wth some 3rd party encoder
• some 'website generator software' which allows manual coding for embedding your 'player'-code
=> now you see, HOW convenient iWeb is...
.. which, by the way, supports upload/FTP to 'foreign'/non-MobileMe websites..
perhaps you should try this very Mac-like way as a start..
