How do I upload a long video (29 minutes) from my iPhone 4s to my Mac?
I have a PowerBook G4 and when I sync my iPhone every photo and video shows up in the imagecapture or iphoto, except for the long one, which is the one I need. Help!
If you can't get it to sync, there is a workaround. Do this:
Connect your phone and sync it with iTunes (this creates a new backup which will include your video)
Open Finder and select Go>Go to Folder, in the box copy: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup, then tap Go
Here you will see your iPhone backup folders to the right (with long unrecognizable names), click on the most recent one and wait for the files to open to the right
With Finder in List View (second icon from the left above View), sort the list of files by size
Copy the largest file to your desktop
Close finder and go to the file on your desktop, click on it, press the Return key, at the end of the filename add the extension ".mov" (if you are prompted, select Add)
This should be your long video. If you double-click on it it should play.

You'd be best setting up a second user account on the computer and then set up iTunes under your user account with your ID. -

Kudos! I too am frustrated about this change to my personal page. I also know Apple is not to blame. I also manage a page for the company I work for using pages app. And that app is UN affected and I can choose from any photo stored on my phone (4). I do keep them seperate so I can keep a professional aspect for the company. But if you want your personal page linked to your public or work page, this maybe the work around your looking for.

Video clips imported from an iPhone into iMovie ver 6 are rotated 90 degrees; how can I fix this or avoid it?
iMovie works best with uncompressed audio. If your track is MP3 or AAC, you may get better results by converting your track to the AIFF format and then using that in iMovie.
You can do this in iTunes. Go to iTunes/Preferences and click the General button. On the General page, click the Import Settings button. Choose IMPORT USING: AIFF ENCODER.
(note: remember what you changed it from so you can change it back later, before you import another CD)
Now, in iTunes, select your track. Then click FILE/CREATE NEW VERSION/AIFF VERSION. -

provided you are using the same Apple ID
for Apps
just launch the App Store App
tap on Purchased at the bottom of the page.
tap on particular Apps you want to download and install..
for other items
launch the Settings App
scroll left pane down a bit, just below Privacy
tap on iCloud
Turn on iCloud sharing for particular items
Contacts, Calendars, Mail, Safari (favorites)
Turn on iCloud sharing on your old devices and your new devices.
Wait 10 or 15 minutes, or so depending on your WiFi network..
You should start to see these shared items appear on your new device..
You can turn iCloud sharing off on your old devices (and new device)
after you are confident enough items have transferred. -

If you don't have your iPhone anymore, you can't access the data on it remotely.
However, if you are syncing to iCloud, you can set up iCloud syncing on your computer and at least get your contact info.

Turn on photo stream on both devices, settings > iCloud on the phone, system preferences > iCloud on the Mac.
Photostream when enabled will only add photos from the camera roll that were taken post photostream activation. (Photostream does not currently share video)
You should connect your device to your computer with a USB cable and import any photos taken pre-activation manually.
