How do I upload my website folder to collaborate with a remote user?

Hey I was as succinct as I could be!
How do I upload the folder that contains my Muse Website so that two of us can amend the files?
I know how to upload a 'file'. I want to upload a 'folder'.

You can create a folder in your Creative Cloud Files folder containing your Muse website which can be collaborated with a remote user.

How do I upload a website created with Muse using FileZilla?

Hi,
I created a website using Muse. Everytime I try to upload the website through Muse, the uploading crashes. The assets folder contains many large pdf files, so I think that is part of the problem. I was able to upload the large pdf for the Muse website using FileZilla. So, my question is: How can I upload the necessary files created with Muse (html, scripts, etc...) using FileZilla? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Please use the option of Export as HTML in Muse and then try to Upload it to hosting server using filezilla.
You can find this option in File > Export as HTML.

How do I upload a website one portion at a time?

Hi, I have a huge website (about 250 30+ minute podcasts is what makes it huge) that i am trying to upload to my new server because of the upcoming demise of mobile me, and i'm having a problem. i just spent almost 3 days uploading, then got an error message. grrrr. my question-- is there any way to upload this website in smaller chunks? my preference would be to load all of my pages except for the podcast page first, then load the podcast page w/ about 10 podcasts, then keep loading about 10 at a time until i'm done. is that possible?

How do I load a website folder onto the ipad of offline use?

I have a website that I want to load onto the ipad for viewing without interntet. I have the entire 1000+ page site and images on my laptop's desktop and I can view it there. How do I put it on the iPad and use it there?

I have been doing some research on this matter and thought I would share the result of my experiences - the overall aim is to have multi-page websites locally viewable on my iPad with navigation using normal hyperlinks
There are numerous suggestions on the web many of which diod not give me what I wanted - my solutions below work for me but may not suit everyone
Case 1 - downloading website from a web-accessible location
I use the iPad app Offline Pages to capture websites - this app works well for this style of website - remember to set the download links to download all that you require - "Intelligent" is good
In theory you can use the app to download websites from the desktop but I haven't been able to get that working routinely
Case 2 - multi-page website on desktop that DOES NOT use relative addressing
You need to process all the links so that it contains well behaved relative addressing
For this I use the Mac app WebCopier which gives good results - this requires that the website is accessible via the web but that can be local to your desktop (see below)
Once I have a processed website then I proceed as below
Case 3 - multi-page website on desktop that DOES use relative addressing
Firstly make sure that you have installed the Offline Pages Bookmarklet in your desktop browser (use the gearwheel settings icon top right in Offline Pages)
Secondly, turn on websharing in the desktop's System Prefs>Sharing panel - this gives me an address for the computer's website and a link "Open Computer Website Folder..." - use this link to navigate to this location on your desktp computer and now move the source (processed if required) website until it is in the computer's website folder structure
Thirdly, select the starting point of the source website (usually an index.html file) and click on the Save to Offline Pages Bookmarklet
Lastly, go to the iPad and wait until the inbox is updated (the inbox at top left shows a number and spinning wheel while it is downloading) - if only 1 page is downloaded by Offline Pages then display that page and click the Page Info icon (square with tick at top right) - change Download Links to "Intelligent" or whatever you require and then click "Update Now" - this should then report the number of pages that are in the downloaded website.

How do I upload my photos to my mac with the filters applied?

Please help - this is driving me insane!!! So I simply want to upload my (1000's of) photos, some of which have filters on to my imac, quickly and in one simple step. It seems to be impossible for me without wasting a lot of time. The only solution I have found is to share the images via icloud, wait for hours for them to upload, then save them to my mac via iphoto. I started to do this but found that images were uploading in a different order to that in which they were taken and some were missing. Why are images reverted back to their originals when uploading to a folder? Surely this is ridiculous! How can I get around this without hours of waiting and checking to see if all my images have appeared? I would greatly appreciate a simple and quick solution to this.

Avoid the /etc/hosts file -- it's just a quick fix that you can use in a pinch. It's only used for client settings. You could add the 192.168.0.4 foo.com line to one of your workstations and they'd be able to see it. It's a workaround for not having DNS service.
You can use the DNS server on the server machine or, if you have another DNS server on your LAN, you can add the record to that. If you want to use the DNS server included with OS X Server, then yes, you'll have to start the DNS server. If you're totally unfamiliar with DNS, you'll want to read up on it first. (Page 37 of this document starts Apple's documentation of the DNS service. Also, this forum should provide a good archive of DNS questions/answers.)

Are you talking about blocking access to the sites? If that's the cause, you can do it by using an extension that blocks unwanted sites ([https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3145/ BlockSite] for example) at your choice, or you can do it using third party software (like a Firewall, for example). There is both free and paid software of that kind. But Firefox doesn't include that feature by default, you'll need an extension for that.

I applied the script you posted, but it is not giving me the size of the folder which is located at a remote machine. Please note the " I need to calculate the size of the folder which is located at a remote machine".and when i applied its path in your script,
it raises "Access is denied" error message.
My path is - '\\ewp-dev18\c$\Attachments'

and this folder does not have any sub folders, it contains only some txt files, image files or some doc files. so no issue of sub folder.
and about my remote server 'ewp-dev18', i have all access and rights, but still raising "Access is denied". why?

I am unable to SEND web pages with Firefox.
With Internet Explorer, I simply go to FILE - Send - Page by email, (or Link by email). By sending the page, I can add some comments, remove some advertising, and/or highlight points I would like to highlight.
The question then, is there a way to Send - Page by email in Firefox?
If so, I will make it my default browser.

How can I make my CS6 raw images compatible with CS5.5 users?

After editing 100+ images in bridge I save the files as DNG for the magazines I work for, it's only just come to my attention that for them to alter the exposure/contrast they must convert the image to 5.5 which means losing the adjustments I've already made. It's time wasting for both of us.
I tried using the different options under 'compatibility' of saving for camera raw 2.4 and later (4.1, 4.6, 5.4, 6.6) not sure how to use the custom area.
Does anyone have an idea on this?
I'd consider using the previous version just on these jobs but I'm not even sure how to do that.

How to install Final Cut Pro on 2 computers with a multiple user license

Our church purchased a multiple user copy of Final Cut Pro, and the music minister who bought it downloaded it onto his computer. I need to get a copy onto my computer - but he doesn't know what I need to do to get a copy onto mine. Do I have to have him log into ITunes on my computer to download it - or is there just a file that downloaded onto his that I can get - or what? I have seen some discussion of their being certificates for using it that he should have received - but he doesn't remember if he has anything. Any assistance here would be appreciated - in the Final Cut Pro site it is very unclear. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what the procedure is to download it from Apple but you can speed things up by simply copying the FCP X app across to your computer using either a hard drive or memory stick.
