How do I upload N70 contacts to Outlook Express

Hi
I'm possibly being a bit thick here but I'm trying to work out how to upload phone contact names and numbers into Outlook Express. I have no contacts in Outlook at the moment. Using PC Suite, Synchronise I chose Outlook then get the message 'no profiles have been created. To creat a new profile, use the Mail icon in the Control Panel.
Which control panel? On my PC? If so opening control panel deosnt have a 'Mail' option. Can anyone please help?
thanks

I do not use Outlook Express (I guess used tobe called Windows Address Book also), but I use the MIcrosoft Outlook that is part of Micrsoft Office pack..
I don't rememebr ever creating a profile to it, so overall the insructions given here seemed a bit complex, but maybe it is so when the profile is missing.
However, just one point about syncronisation.
I would not syncronise "first from pc to phone" and then new settings and resyncronising "from phone to PC". simply because that is not the way syncronisation is planned to work. YOu should always use "update on both directions" (because that is real sync and it is faster, you have minimal risk for dublicates or oter hassle).
I can write a looong story about what is the difference between first sync, second sync's, slow sync, fast sync etc. but just take my word of this:
Always use "update on both directions" and once you have create ONCE your sync settings, don't touch them.
That is what I do with all my 4 phones I use and never have problems with sync (2000 contacts and 800 calendar items)

I am very new to the iPod touch and it is aslow learning curve for me.
I would like to be able to read and send emails from my ipod. I am with shaw.ca Outlook Express. I figured out how to load my email address in to seetings but I want my contacts there-how do I sync those in?

Iassume you are using Windows SP.  if so you can Windows Mail (not Windows Live Mail).  You can import your Outlook Express contacts into Windows Mail Contacts.  Windows Mail Contacts will sync with your iPod.

How do I upload the contacts from my iPhone 5S to the Bluetooth device on my Toyota RAV4?  The car manual says to consult the phone's Bluetooth instruction manual, but I don't have a manual for that.

That is very strange... I wonder if it has something to do with the firmware or some sort of error. I haven't ran into this but at the shop I work at I've ran into several firmware errors on iPhone 4 all the way through the 5s. Maybe its something as simple as putting a different part of the code into iTunes... I know you can something of this extent. I would look up error 1669, I know you have tried a number of things but look it up on the forum and see what fixes are available so that you may be able to restore it properly without all this garbage you are running into. Just a thought for you.

  • How do I upload my contacts, calendar and notes from outlook 2007 to my new iPad with retina display

I just cleaned up my outlook 2007 contact files.
I have an iPhone 5, a new iPad with retina display, and a PC, which is where the outlook program is.
I also have an iCloud account
How do I get the contacts, calendar and notes from outlook to any of these devices, so I can have one synced contact file on all three devices?
I'm sure I am not the first one asking about this but I am new to Apple, and loving it.

With your device connected and iTunes open, navigate to the 'info' tab and scroll down. You'll see the option to sync contacts and such from outlook.

  • How to sync iPhone/iPad contacts TO Outlook?

I am confused by the cavalier way the term "sync" is bandied about in the MS Outlook/Apple iTunes context.
I want to make my Outlook contacts look just like my iPhone contacts.  I.e., after a sync, I don't want any contact info in one device that's not in the other.
In the past, "sync" has meant to me "make them both the same."  But the mechanism whereby that occurs is not obvious in the context of iTunes and MS Office.  For instance, when iTunes is syncing, what happens if a contact's name is in both the PC and iPhone, but the email addresses are different?  Am I offered the opportunity to make a choice?  What happens if Outlook contains an entry that's not on the phone?  Will it end up on the iPhone? What happens if a contact is in the phone, but not in Outlook -  will it get created in Outlook?
I consider my phone the primary device for accumulating contact information. As a consequence, my Outlook contacts are woefully out of date vis-a-vis my iPhone's.  But I am sore afraid to engage the iTunes syncing, lest it somehow decide that what I want to do is replace the contacts on my iPhone with those from Outlook. I've seen too many comments elsewhere about contacts being lost wholesale, or duplicated wholesale.
Is there any definitive source for further detailed information on this subject?

  • How to transfer all emails and contacts from Outlook Express to Outlook 2010

I have just done this and believe me it was a bit of a marathon! Microsoft tell you that you need to have both Outlook Express and Outlook 2010 running on the same machine. If, like me, your Outlook 2010 in running on a Windows 7 platform there is a problem.
Until now I have been using Outlook Express on a Desktop running XP Pro. It has Outlook 2007 but it won’t run owing to a corrupted file. I set up my email account on an old XP laptop which has Outlook 2007. This is how I transferred emails between 2 machines
    running Outlook Express:
After setting up the account (on the old laptop) I created sub-folders exactly the same as my existing account. Having got some emails in the inbox I made sure that each new sub-folder contained at least one random email simply by drag and drop. It seems to
validate the folders. I then copied the folders from the maintenance directory on the desktop (you find this under Tools – Options – Maintenance) and pasted them into the equivalent folder on the this old laptop so they overwrote those present. I transferred
the contacts simply using Export – Address Book using a csv file. I then set up the email account in Outlook 2007 on the old laptop and ran an import from Outlook Express which was fine as per Microsoft’s instructions. On that machine I then exported to a
backup pst file which I transferred to my new Windows 7 machine and imported successfully into Outlook 2010. Perhaps there are easier ways but at least it worked!

You can directly do the same, visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/196215 to know the steps.
