How do I upload my photos from my iphone to iphoto on my mac book? They have been doing it automatically, but I don't know how to do it myself.

Import photos from a camera or iOS device
Connect a camera, iPad, iPhone, or other iOS device to your computer with a USB cable.

If your camera has a “sleep” mode, make sure it’s disabled or set to a time increment long enough to allow your images to download.
Open Photos (if it isn’t already open), then click Import in the toolbar.Note: The Import button only appears when a camera or storage device is connected.Photos displays all the photos and videos on the device. You can choose to import a selection of photos or all the new photos on the device.
Do one of the following:
Import all new photos: Click Import All New Photos.
Import a selection of photos: Click the photos you want to import, then click Import Selected.
If a message asks whether you want to delete or keep the photos on your camera after they’re imported, click Delete Items to remove the photos, or click Keep Items to keep them on the camera.Photos imports your photos. To cancel importing, click Stop Import.
When all photos have been imported, disconnect the camera or device from your computer.

If you have photos taken with a film camera, you can import them into Photos by converting them to digital files (using the Image Capture app and a home scanner). You can also use the Image Capture app to set Photos to open automatically whenever you connect your camera. For more information, open Image Capture in the Applications folder, then choose Help > Image Capture Help.

So say I took a lot of photos on the iPhone, then I created several albums that contain a substantial amount of photos too. When I uploaded photos to the Mac using iPhoto, I noticed that all the photos got put together into one "Event" and the other albums in the iPhone were nowhere to be found. Is there a way to upload photos so that the "Camera Roll" gets an "Event" and the other albums get their own respective "Events"?
What I want to know is how to upload photos so that each iPhone camera album appears as a separate "event" in iPhoto. Please help and thanks in advance.

Per the iPhone User Manual, I don't believe you can do what you're inquiring about.
Among other things, it clearly states albums on the iPhone are not transfered to iPhoto as such.

By albums are you referring to albums in iPhoto on your iPhone. Only photos in the Camera Roll get imported into the iPhoto library when connecting the iPhone to your Mac.

Unfortunately the iPhone does not support Bluetooth File Transfer so it cannot be done.
The easiest way is to e-mail it to yourself. AT home on Wi-Fi this would be far faster than using Bluetooth that only has a 700Kbps speed

I have this problem too. Photo stream works fine on iPhone+iPad, but the photos are never loaded to my PC (Win 8.1). My shared folders works fine on iOS and PC, but not My photo stram.

Did you purchase the music from the iTunes store? If so, you can download it again for free as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519. If the music was from other sources (ripped CDs, etc.) you have to sync your phone with iTunes on a computer to transfer it to your phone.

The iTUnes sync syncs the contents of a folder you choose. ANd it handles only one folder at a time.
What I did to keep things straight, was to make a separate folder inside the 'my photos' part of my computer. Then put in that folder copies of things I wanted on my iPad. I could then add/remove from that folder as the mood struck and since everything in there was a copy I wouldn't lose any. (you would add/remove from the folder, then do a sync to allow iTunes to update that folder on your iPad to match the folder on your PC)
Another way, to get away from maintaining a folder, if you don't have a ton of photos, just e-mail them to yourself, save them from that e-mail. Keep them on the iPad as long as you like, then you can delete them as you wish. Photos that are synced onto the iPad must be synced off (as in removed from that folder then a sync performed to remove them)
E-mailing the photos to yourself gives you more flexibility in managing them on the iPad.

I have the same issue. I've already read the iPhone user guide which didn't help.
The user guide explains how to turn on Photo Sync in iTunes but no specifics of where the imported photos will be. I tried syncing a few times and I cannot find the photos on my PC.iTunes transferred all my PC photos *to* the phone, but not the other way around.
I'd imagine they should be in the folder that is specified in iTunes.
Any help would be appreciated!
