How do I upload photos from PC onto the icloud photo library?

Hi. I have IOS 8.1 on my Apple devices (iphone and ipad). iCloud Photo Library is enabled on my devices and PC (iCloud.com).
The photos taken on these devices has uploaded to ICloud Photo Library into my cloud storage.
I want to also upload my photos taken by various cameras and stored on my PC (old photos).into the cloud for these t be available in the Library.  I use Windows 7
How do I do this?

I have this problem too. Photo stream works fine on iPhone+iPad, but the photos are never loaded to my PC (Win 8.1). My shared folders works fine on iOS and PC, but not My photo stram.
In the beginning, a couple of years ago, it work, but not now (2014).
All iOS are updated, and PC-iCloud software/panel is Active, and Photo stream is activated.
What to do??
Reset all streams on PC? I tried, no result.
I can understand that it takes time to reload all Pictures from iCload to my PC, but I wait Days, weeks...

  • (How) can I add a photo from Finder to an iCloud photo stream?

I'm a new Mac user and a little confused. From a Windows PC it is very simple to add a photo to an iCloud photo stream, taken that you have the iCloud plug-in installed. Just right-click a photo and select "Add to photo stream...". On my iMac, on the other hand, I have not yet figured out how or if it's even possible at all.
I'm sure you know, please tell me and you will make my day :-)

Drag the photo onto the iPhoto icon to import it, then drag it to the iCloud heading in the sidebar.

  • Upload photos from PC to new icloud photo library

The iCloud help pages tells me I should be able to upload photos from my Macbook (Yosemite) to my new iCloud Photo Library (beta).  I open iCloud.com in Safari.  Click on the Photos option.  I see my albums and photos.  The help pages tell me that  I should see an UPLOAD button, but I do not.
Same results when I use my Windows 7 PC using Internet Explorer.
Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Farmdwg,
    Try following instructions below.
    Set photos to sync
You can sync iPhone with photos in iPhoto 4.0.3 or later on a Mac, or Photoshop Album 2.0 or later or Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later on a PC. Or you can sync with any folder on your computer that contains images.
Click the Photos tab and select "Sync photos from:"
From the pop-up menu, do one of the following:
If your using a Mac, choose iPhoto or your Pictures folder.
If you're using a PC, choose Photoshop Album, Photoshop Elements, or your My Pictures folder.
Choose Folder, then choose any folder on your computer that has images inside.
Choose "All photos," or choose "Selected folders" or "Selected albums" and choose the folders or albums you want to sync.

  • Transferring and Deleting photos from iOs Devices with iCloud Photo Library

So when there was iPhoto for iOs, it was easy to transfer the folders that I made on my iOs device and then delete those photos using iPhoto for iOs. Now it doesn't seem that easy (when you have a ton of photos on the device.) So has anyone found an easy way to transfer all the photos from a folder and then delete all those photos off of the device once they are transferred?

Regardless about what else is going on here or the questions you have -- the absolute first thing to know is that if you choose to use "iCloud Photo Library" then you are a "beta tester" who is using a beta service ... namely one that is NOT RELEASED as final or stable. In other words, you cannot depend on it working or keeping your photos.
THEN the other thing you should realize is that if you use this beta service, then you have turned off your "iCloud Backup" for all yours photos. In other words iCloud will NO LONGER back up your photos.
All in all the above means that BEFORE you even attempt to use iCloud Photo Library, you better have all your photos backed up to an alternate and outside service or facility (apart from Apple) ... because that will be the only effective backup you will have for your photos.
You might look into Dropbox as that works well for me.

  • How can I upload and access files to the iCloud?

    Hello,
I am using iCloud on my MacBook Pro (OS X Lion) and iPhone 4 (iOS 5). Everything works just fine, but I'd like to put miscallenous files to the cloud as well, like .zip, .dat, .txt, .ini, .doc. On my MacBook I have put them all into the folder "Documents".
Question 1: Are my files, now that I put them to the Documents folder, in the Cloud already?
Question 2: How can I now access and view those files on my iPhone? (I used MobileMe before, and there I used a app called "iDisk",)
I'm really lokking forward to your replies.
    Pascal

Don't whine, there is a workaround, better than the idisk.
Download an app you wish to work as your iDisk. It is essential that this app supports iCloud. I personally prefer the GoodReader app.
Go to your /Users/<root folder name>/Library/Mobile Documents folder and locate the folder the app uses to store your files.
Create a folder in the "Documents" folder of the folder you found. I named that folder iCloud docs. You can name it whatever you want... e.g iDisk
(now let's add some style) download the icon I created.
Open the icon I created with preview and press cmd + a and then cmd + c .
Select the "iCloud docs" folder you created, or whatever you named it, press cmd + i
Select the folder icon on the top left and press cmd + v
Select again the folder and press cmd + L
Drag & drop the alias folder wherever you need it
    or
       8. If you want to be supercool you can also drag & drop the original (not the alias) folder on your dock.
Hope you enjoy the new super cool iDisk.
    Cheers.

  • How do i stop photoshop from opening all the recovered photos

i realize that i probably caused this problem but i need to fix it.... dozens and dozens of photos open and it takes forever. closing them doesn't work, they just come back the next time i open cs6.

Beyond manually finding the files for removal, consider this:
Photoshop is supposed to remove those backup files itself after you've successfully closed them.
That it's not doing so implies possibly a permissions problem, where deletions of files from within your scratch PSAutoRecover area by you are not allowed.  You'll want to look at the permissions of those folders/files and change them so that you do have access.  I'm sorry to say I do not know the specific commands, as I am not a Mac user.

  • HT201317 How do I move photos from iPhoto to the iCloud?

I just want to get some pictures off of my laptop and I want to ensure that they are in a safe space.  iCloud is different than Photo Stream right?  Is there a way to just store the photos in iCloud?  I don't want to lose the photos in 30 days, if I put them in Photo Stream.
    Thank you!

iCloud can not do what you want.
    Try a service like DropBox
You can get 2GB of free storage with the option to purchase more. Your photos will be stored in the cloud and will be available to your internet connected devices.

  • How am I supposed to upload music from CDs onto my iMac without a CD drive?

I have music that does not exist on iTunes, and I am beyond upset that I am not able to upload it to my computer and my phone. If there was a stupid CD drive, I would be able to enjoy my music, but I can't because the CD drive does not exist. How do I upload music from CDs onto my computer if there is nowhere to insert a disk?

There are cheap ones (under$50) that'll last anywhere from a year to three years or more expensive(over $50 and higher) that will last much longer.
Not all optical drives are Mac compatible.
Most Mac compatible drives you will only find to be purchased online.
Here are two on Amazon.com that are cheap and Mac compatible

Here's another source for Mac compatible optical drives. These are better quality optical drives.
These are also tray loading drives.

  • How to upload my purchased item to the iCloud?

How do I upload movies end songs to the iCloud from my PC?

You don't.  Movies and songs you purchased from the itunes store can always be downloaded again to other devices registered with itunes.  But you can't upload them to icloud.
If interested in songs, you can subscribe to iTunes Match ($25/yr).  That allows you to have your collection of music on icloud and accessible from other devices.  Google ITunes Match to get more info on this service.

  • How do I transfer a photo from iPhoto or the Desktop onto my Samsung phone GT S5830i ?

Can anyone please tell me how I can transfer a photo from iPhoto or the Desktop onto my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT S5830i phone ? The phone won't connect to Kies.  I've uninstalled Kies.  I've tried with Bluetooth and USB cable; all to no avail. I'm running Mavericks on a Mac.  Many thanks in anticipation,  Derek.

You can export the image from iPhoto to the desktop
    File -> Export
    This User Tip
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
Unfortunately, the rest of your query - i.e. - getting it from the desktop to that phone is one more for a Samsung forum.
